Nero Express, encoding video?

When started to burn VCD will it takes a long time to encoding the video?
and I've waited bout 20 min and it's still encoding 1%....

between I just drag the avi file to burn out as VCD, will this works? It's really takes a loooong time to encoding....

i think it's because of your processor speed and amount of memory. usually an avi format 175mb can be converted and burned less than 20 min if you have a PIII processor. :-)

try convert first then burn into disc

I just tested it myself, and it seems that your processor is just to slow. Converting a 25min anime takes about 8min here.
What happens is that Nero first transcodes the video and audio to VCD format (plain mpeg1) and then it burns it to CD.

Oh...how should I do bout it? I tried to burn a VCD, it takes me more then five hours to do the encoding and it is still not done yet...I cancelled it somehow T_T

i know it takes very long to encode it i tried to burn naruto as VCD then it says the remaining time is 9 hours ..mins then i tried to convert to .dvd then when i burn the folders it says i need some encoder or decoder or somethin

Now that's too long... Maybe your processor is just slow... I don't really know, sorry...

.AVI file (around 20mins long) just takes around 45 mins for me to encode to VCD format.

A tip that I really like: Just encode it once and burn it as an image file (I mean the nero image file) so next time you want to burn it again, you just have to open the image file then burn.

Speaking of image, to test your burned image file, you can load it in Nero Image Drive.

Why don't you use Nero Vision. I use that software to burn VCD, SVCD & DVD's. You can set/control it's priority.
