Taking Screenshots from Windows Media Player?

Print Screen button won't do any good at all, niether does any of those Ctrl+ buttons. Any ways of capturing screens from videos on WMP?

You can use something called SnagIt, which you'll have to download...It'll tell you how to use it once you're completed downloading...

Use this link

Hows about NOT USING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AT ALL!!!!!

USE MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC INSTEAD. It supports more formats, more cool stuff, and takes screenshots as a built in feature. Not to mention it's easy on resources and doesn't even install. It's just a standalone exe file.

First of all, because it's using a different display layer, using the printkey button or ANY ctrl+(anything) button won't work. You either have to manually rip it using another program, or (what I'd recommend too) is follow psoplayer's suggestion. MP11 and MP10 suck compared to MPC and it's simplicity.

(plus when you fullscreen video, there's no annoying bar that pops up the instant your optical mouse is moved in the slightest.......that is what REALLY pisses me off)

WMP is an utter piece of shit, it is not standards compliant, it's bug riddled, and bloated. For audio files, I would suggest foobar2000 and for videos, I would suggest either VLC media player or RealPlayer. They are standards compliant and lack bloat.

Please visit my message board, I only have 3 members now and I would appreciate it. It is at s10.invisionfree.com/the_world_2.

I agree with psoplayer (forum mod). Windows Mediaplayer sucks!
But I think I'd recommend VLC Media Player because this program is so good at making screenshots.

You can have it here

Depending if you use Windows XP or Windows Vista, in XP you apparently can't take screenshots in Windows Media Player, though in Vista you can, though you've gotten some good tips here.

The other option is to get a program called Fraps. It can take screenshots of ANYTHING you can run on your computer.

Though ultimately, Psoplayer's still got the best idea if you don't mind not using WMP.
