Azumanga Daioh Question
Link | by desertpunk on 2006-07-20 17:07:15
I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with Japanese or the show that could answer a question. During the second-year sports festival, there was another scavenger hunt. This time, Chiyo-chan was the class representative.

She runs over to the table and gets a piece of paper and opens it. She gets a deer-in-headlights look when she reads it. She runs back and Yomi says "What, is it glasses again?" "Here you go." Tomo says "I know!" "It's bloomers, isn't it?" "Here, you can have mine!" Chiyo-chan has this stricken look on her face and takes Tomo by the hand back to the table.

What I guess what I wanted to know was what was written on the paper, or if Tomo was right-and how did she know? Lucky guess? Or was it something altogether different? Thanks!

The writing on the paper Chiyo-chan took was something like "Find an idiot". She was understandably reluctant to insult someone by picking them, but then Tomo unwittingly volunteered herself for the "honor".

I had my suspicions it was something along those lines. Again, thanks for clearing that up.

The word written on it was "baka" meaning fool or idiot.
