This thread is too old. Anyway, this game is very different from Samurai and Dynasty Warriors. I like the game but there are only few characters. BTW, Masamune is better here than SW2. Too bad the game is not as good as Koei, but I like the art/concept though.   Follow the road you believe in --> |

wow both opening songs are cool! anyway lets talk about the game shall we ^_^ any good? does it set itself apart from the DW series? or should i stick with sw2:XL instead? |

It's a faster pace game than DW/SW series. SW is more of a tactical hack and slash. (You can't really rush and go crazy like in SB series) SB is more of a arcade hack and slash (flashly moves, supers and presentation) There was a US version of the first game (called Devil Kings) but it was completely butched (storyline,characters,specials, and system) |

I played it and Masamune Date of SB is better than SW series. To think that a hand can wield three swords, he is cooler this way. Comparing SW and SB character designs, SB has extreme looks and skills. I also found out that Sengoku Basara has a manga. So that's why the character designs are similar to anime. o yeah, and there's also the 2D fighting version of sengoku basara called basara X(read basara cross) coming up will all playable char in the action version be playable too in this one? o and yeah, masamune is so cool with his (seriously^^)flashy moves(with many lightning sparks), engrish talk and a cocky attitude like dante/DMC kind of living up to his "dragonic" theme(he is known as dokuganryuu/one eyed dragon) with his character design(not to mention the six "claw") |

I have played sengoku basara 2,heroes series and basara x.. I think its a cool game and the graphic is beautiful.. The character design is totally different from the samurai warriors series..and basically look cooler.. I like using masamune most..coz he really good to use..esp when u learned war cry..
