Used Vegetable Oil as Diesel Fuel
|
Some vehicles with diesel engines have the ability to run on used vegetable oil from deep fryers instead of using regular fuel. The thing is that these vehicles are completely unmodified, yet they work on both petroleum-based diesel fuel and biodiesel fuel. What I want to know is why this works on vehicles with diesel engines and not regular engines. |

I don't know about the engines, lol. My uncle's old car had a system where it ran on pure water; tab water if you call it. I don't understand a car running on Olive Oil and such, lol. ![]() ------- |

No car has ever been built that uses water as its only fuel source. The very concept is quite, how you say, bullshit. As for the diesel engines, they are somewhat different in design than gasoline engines. In a diesel engine, the combustion is started by compressing the fuel. In a gasoline engine, the combustion is started by an electric spark. Biodiesel IS NOT USED OIL!!! Biodiesel is a PRODUCT of used oil. The procedure for distilling biodiesel from used oil is simple enough that it can be done in your back yard, given some reasonable equipment and supplies. Thanks! I think I get it now. Although that doesn't mean I'll be trying this out any time soon. |

We should come up with an invention to harvest stupidity out of morons. Stupidio-extracto-matic should be a fitting title. Then using stoichiometry, find the mole to mole ratio used to create fuel by combusting and condensing stupidity at its critical point. Once the fuel is made...simple add to the tank and drive. Caution : car may drive a little retardedly. :-D
Sigs are so overrated...-.-
