Anime wannabees (which does the best?)
Link | by on 2006-06-23 13:04:48 (edited 2006-06-23 16:17:35)
Like all ya know there are some shows that use some ideas or expressions used in anime. so which amarime- err something like that, gets does the best interperatation of anime? Shows like avatar- the last airbender and Totally Spies! are some examples.

I think that Teen Titans does the best job of it.

Edit: You can include any show you think is copying anime that isnt from the US, since now I realize that the US isnt the only one doing it.

Totally Spies is actually French/Canadian. :o IMO, Avatar would be the 'best'. The 'best' because the BEST would've been Invasion America, if they actiually continued it. :(

Oh really? guess I should've done my homework..

I hope you dont mind I guess it would be better not to limit this topic to US cartoons only so I'm just gonna make the topic not Limited to Amarican animation.

the best cartoon that basically tries to copy anime styles.

the best would be avatar the last airbender/the legend of aang! great expressions and dubbing! especially the fighting scenes...and I think anime hasn't done that before... have you seen it? The fighting scenes are great wai~!

uh... and I think avatar is not trying to copy anime... I think it already copied it so no need trying (does that make sense? lol)

Don't think of it as copying. It's far from it. :P It is, however, emulating the style of Japanese animation today. Avatar has to be the best example so far in terms of detail, the plot, and the character developement. You don't see a lot of that in 'normal' cartoons today.

You know I relly didnt give avatar much thought.... at first I thought it was pretty childish

Maia-chan is the Avatar you've seen the one they aired on Nikelodeon. Besically I'm asking if Nickelodeon actually edited out so many things before they aired it was not exactly what it could've been?

Anyways Hearing from what you've all said... I'll give Avatar a second chance!!!

Avatar is pretty well done. You can find episodes for download if you want, but of course I won't give the resources (and no one else better either!). ;p But yeah, off the top of my head I can't think of any other American anime that's up to par with Avatar right now. Though Teen Titans is anime influenced, the only influence in that cartoon is mostly facial expressions and animation styles.

I agree... NO ONE CAN BEAT AVATAR! lol....

EDIT: in the case of cartoons... but in anime... Avatar will be a dead pulp! muahahaha
