How do you prepare for the worst?

When the worst is inevitable, what would you do? scream and shout? hope for the best? or brace it and hope to survive?

Say the magic words.

"Whatever will be, will be."

I would spell check my will and prepare for the afterlife.

I would also do what Jomunga just said, though I'd make it complex as hell. I've always wanted to leave some grand puzzle for my riches :D

there's no point of spending a big deal amount of time worrying. what needs to happen, will happen.

i'll just work out problems that i have right now... so when the time finally happens, i won't have any regrets..

most of you have given me an answer of that of a quiter. or that of a pacifist. wonderful job, I must say. But that is also an issue. why give up on what life has to offer? Destinies can be changed. But why do you all decide to let go of your dreams for a wrongdoing end? Fight on. Live life as what's been given. Fight for your life because no matter what, you can live eternal no matter what logic says.

This is true, but worrying about the inevitable (which means things you CAN'T change) is pointless. If it could indeed be changed, as you stated ONLY in your second post, it would _not_ be inevitable.

Weigh the options, pros, cons, and what ifs from a mathematical and analytical perspective. And pray.

Pray that all will be well.

uhm, I usually stay cool. I don't know why, but I don't panic everytime I have to. I mean, I panic over things that are not so important, but when the times comes for me to panic, I don't. me weird. XD

I usually scream like hell for about an hour, run like crazy, and hope that someone notices me.

Nah, that's a joke. I take a deep breath, then say to myself, "So help me God..."

What if I jump out
of this speeding jeepney?
Fly without wings
Reach for the grey-painted heaven
And out into the sea of infinity?

If I have nothing heroic to do, I'll just pray. Or come unprepared at all, if the situation doesn't state when the tragedy will happen. If I die unprepared, then I die unprepared.

But here's another question. God, a "god" is nothing more than a figment of imagination. If you believe in god, isn't He the one that sent that inevitable omen to you? Why pray for a god that has foresaken you?

I guess people put faith in "god" because it gives them a sense of hope and value in an otherwise empty existence.

If the worst was to come inevitably and indefinitely, I would probably just accept it and live my final days with hope for the future, instead of being overcome by fear.

You need a reason to be sad. You don't need a reason to be happy. The secret to happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible.

Hehe... People who believe in god wouldn't think that god had forsaken them, instead they'll think that it's one of god's plan and have nothing else to do but accept it faithfully...

As for me... I'll just quietly accept my fate, i don't know why but i don't scream a lot, even in a deadly situation... Happened to me once, i almost died and not a word came out from my mouth...

Scream and run around in a rampage, take out the 10 year-old rusty pocket knife I found in my backyard(true story), and let slip! I'm not goin' down without a fight! ;)

I'd open up one of these suckers!

I'd only do that stuff if I were fighting someone. If I had to kiss my @$$ goodbye right then and there, I'd ask to be forgiven for all of my lies. I tend to tell many, sometimes. Even if it's for no reason LOL.
