Advent Children-do you see what I see..Revelation?

It's time for something controversial! I'm watching AC right, as I usually do at home from work(and sometimes at work!;) and now and I realized something controversial that would lift the awesomeness of the movie to even higher levels. The ending is very similar to "endings" in mythology and even the Bible. Not saying it IS, but I think it's JUST interesting. Think about it,there are many strange similaraties between AC and the book of Revalation (Apocalypse in Catholic versions): there is a struggle between good and evil which good wins, a "Second Coming" of good with Aerith, another second coming-this one of evil-who was vanquished,Sephiroth, a "healing" of the great sickness, a ressurection of life for he who deserves to live (for Cloud), the coming of many crazy beasts, and problaby some others I can't think of. Can you? This is not the first movie/story that's been so similar to stories in religion, there was Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galatic for example (both WAY before our time - like the freakin' 70's or something! Google it if you want to learn more). |

advent, uhh... the season where people prepare for christmas? that's it, right? wah. this is what I get for not paying attention in my religion class! >___> right now I'm currently listening to the AC ost, and i've just noticed that, some of the titles have some sort of relation to religion as well. [no specific religion.] like, tenrai divinity I, savior, and yeah... is calling included? oh well. I've just noticed that. ^_^ |

This creeps me out, but I must tread further! Sephiroth is a lot like Satan in that- 1.Both fell from high ranks of established power to attain more control over their destinies. 2.Both are "sealed" and released prior to the great battle between good and evil. 3.They are both evil's champion. 4.They both betrayed the good guy. |

Anyhoo, there's ANOTHER thing linking FFAC to Revalation, in that book it's widely interpreted that all the chilren will be drawn up into Heaven before the end, and in AC guess what they were all taken away too! (What the heck is going on!) |

(im gonna go into mah serious mode for this one) The Promised Land is not the same for everyone. It may be anything for anyone, but it is whatever gives that person supreme joy, whatever grants them fulfillment. Considering that people are quite possibly as varied in desires as there are things to be desired, there may be a limitless number of Promised Lands, a different one for every person that one sees. (pretty deep, huh?) |

Heh, shouldn't that be in a seperate thread? Oh well, it's still relevant to the topic! Evangelion has so many ties to the Bible I wouldn't know where to start especially since I don't understand part of the anime. But then I haven't seen the movies yet, and they are supposed to give clarity. Enlightement, anyone? Lucifer says, "Czet is right. Evangelion is amazing!" |

| oh joy something more to talk about that can be related to advent children when haven't we seen these thing in anime it's not like I don't see this stuff I do and I laugh cause religion makes me laugh that saying I do acknowledge other peoples religion and such but yeah. It is interesting to see this but it's happen before and is a widely used plot in stuff. But yeah |
