So, yeah, I need to build a spaghetti bridge for my physics class. I would appreciate any tips, good websites, and any other good information you can give me. It's due Tuesday so I have to build it over the weekend. I would appreciate your help. Thanks. |

Does it have to be cooked spaghetti? If not then just use the uncooked type. More stable. Best of luck with that. I hope you keep us posted on the outcome.

Yes, it must be uncooked spaghetti. I guess I should mention some more rules. The platform must be at least 30 centimeters and the worst of all, the bridge must hold my weight as I will have to be able to stand on it. I'm not exactly a lightweight if you know what I mean. I need to find a partner... *thanks* |

Can't you use something other than spaghetti to suppor the bridge? Also, does it have to be a suspended bridge, or can it have support from underneath? If so, just lay as many layers of uncooked spaghetti as you can. It has to work, ne?

No, it has to be 100% spaghetti and glue. I need to have supports under the bridge but I don't know how I'm going to be able to do it. I might make triangles. I don't think I'm allowed to do a suspension bridge. *thanks for asking* |

hm.....search the internet for something like this. you know, there's an annual spaghetti bridge competition somewhere, but I don't know whether they still do it or not. Good luck with the spaghetti bridge! p.s.: the albumin of egg (the white, slimy substance) was mentioned to be a very strong glue. |
