Wishing Firefly Bend RP: At the outskirts of Gendou City, there's a small forest in which a river runs through. The river runs through the city as well, its water source coming from a lake on the nearby mountain. The river is unusually straight except for a meander in the forest. At this bend, there is a legend about the wishing fireflies. People believed that if one were to wish at this river bend when the fireflies glow every night without fail, your wish would come true. The legend only applies to those who long for a certain beloved someone. In other words, it's a love legend. Plot: None at the moment. I'll let nature take its course on this RP. Anyone can join in, no need for character profiles. We'll learn more about each other's characters along the way. ^^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There’s a legend. Slow, barely audible footsteps were heard as the figure approached the river bank. A legend I have been hoping for it to come true ever since I was a little girl. The sound of water could be clearly heard now, in the serene silence. Fireflies gave out a warm glow, lighting up the river bank as they gathered around. Heavenly. It seemed to be the only word that was capable of describing the breath-takingly beautiful night scene by the river, littered with swarms of fireflies that lit up the surroundings. Their glow, though faint, but in the darkness of the forest, could be seen from quite a distance away. They only added to the surreal scene by the river. It was as if, the world had come to a standstill and time froze, as if the fireflies had opened up new doors to another world, undisturbed, untouched, so serene and peaceful, so ethereal. It was as if, the doors to one’s dreams were opened. And everyday, for as long as I could remember, I had been wishing for the legend of the wishing fireflies to come true. Mizu stood at the edge of the river, taking in the sight of her surroundings. Every night, this place seemed to have not changed. Every night, for as long as anyone could remember, fireflies, without fail, lit up the river, bringing along the sense of surrealism with them as they glowed. Everyday, Mizu’s hope never wavered, forever glowing as bright as the fireflies themselves. For she, believed in the legend of the fireflies. If someone was to come here everyday and wished for the person they love, their wishes would come true. Clasping her hands together, Mizu closed her eyes and started wishing, as she had done every other night. She concentrated hard on her wish, the same wish she had been repeating for 14 years. She wished, for the person she loved, to come back to her. That’s all I would ever ask for… For you to return to me, safe and sound… A silent tear slid down her rosy, freckle covered cheek. She continued wishing, making no attempts to wipe away the tears that were spilling freely, like water from a broken dam. If only you knew, how long I have been waiting… Once she was done wishing, Mizu’s eyes slowly fluttered opened, revealing a pair of mesmerizing green eyes that were brimming with tears. Ever since she was two and had heard of the legend, she had been coming to this same spot by the river for the next 14 years, wishing. And someday, my wish would reach you… No matter how long it takes…

even though, she wants this to be a calm, kinda of 'love legend' (she calls it), with Itachi and me here, it's going to get gruelsome! lol. As of right now, blood and love, yes...will be from me! lol, XD

((It's okay, I don't mind any gruesome stuff. Used to it in other RPs. I never asked for a calm, love legend RP anyway. What you're suppose to do... Anything you want. You want your character to come crashing in with rumbling Dino, go right ahead. ^^ No restrictions on anything. But for now, my only request is that the RP somewhat revolves around this legendary river bend. So, are we starting this rp or what?))

oh I get it. ok, thanks for pointing this out Sayu. ok let's begin here. my name is DANGEL, just for everbody's sake, but I just use DANGEL for mostly everything, makes it more simplier. DANGEL: Itachi? what was that noise? should we go up hill to check it out? DANGEL: I wonder if they have anything to eat, im starving. *stomache growls!* (I im just gonna start the RP with Itachi, like in the same area. Other RP's confuse the hell outta me, lol, since their moving all over the place, I can hardly keep up without checking back a time or two)

Mizu quickly dabbed away her tears with a used piece of tissue before stuffing it back into the side pocket of her red knee length skirt. The girl was modest, that was for sure. How silly. To be wasting her time, wishing every single night without fail, for her beloved to come back. He could be dead. Mizu's eyes glistened with sadness as she silently watched the fireflies from afar. Do they really hear our wishes, those gentle creatures? Even though caught up in her own thoughts, Mizu did manage to hear the soft barely audible footsteps appraoching her. Worry and panic filling her every senses, Mizu spun around sharply to see who the person was. However, in the darkness of the night, she could only make out an outline of two tall man from afar.

(I'll hurry and post on taht before bed time, it's near twelve) DANGEL: fine! I go get my own food *flies up to top of hill and see's a village near the other side. DANGEL lands, and begins to walk towards the village* *not team up, now we're apart..but still in the same area, I guess, lol.*

((I'll take it that your characters are near the river bend...)) Mizu tilted her head slightly to the right with a confused expression on her face. Show herself? Was she not already in the open? Was she not already such an open target, not hiding behind anything? Perhaps, it was the cloak of darkness that surrounded the forest that made it hard to see much. Yes, that must be it. Instead of taking the usual one step forward, Mizu chose to take a step backwards instead, going closer to the glowing fireflies. Now, her figure was bathed in their yellowish green glow, making it easy to see her sharp angelic features, her brilliant jade green eyes and that rosy pouted lips of hers. Her long dark brown hair cascaded freely down her back, swaying slightly with every movement. She wore a simple white blouse and a red skirt, with a brown coat over to protect her from the night's cold.

'He hears my thoughts?' Mizu's eyes widened. What a queer stranger! To approach a young lady in the middle of the night asking if it was her thoughts that he was hearing! Mizu's eyes scanned the area, not spotting another being in sight besides them. "I guess so..." Mizu replied quietly, eyes never leaving the male stranger that stood before her. In the shrouded darkness that was casted upon his face, she could barely make out his features. Oh how she wished her would step closer, perhaps, nearer to the fireflies so that she could see him better! But in the dark, the stranger held this air of mystery and looked strangely gallant. Mizu could feel the heat rushing to her cheeks as she stood there, nervously fingering the ends of her waist long hair.

Mizu gasped as the stranger came closer. Even though she initially wanted to the stranger to come closer, when he really did so, she found herself taking a few steps back. The stranger's eyes were the deepest shade of red she had ever seen, as crimson as blood itself. Perhaps even darker! Now that his features were revealed, he no longer held that air of mystery, instead, it was replaced by this strong aura filled with sorrow and pain. 'How is it possible that someone could hold so much sorrow? Live with so much pain?' Seeing this handsome male drew forth symphaty in her tender heart as Mizu dared to take a step forward, now only inches away from the male. Slowly, she stretched out a hand and stroked the man's smooth cheek. Gasping as she realised what she had done, Mizu quickly withdrew her hand and apologized profusely to the man. "I'm so sorry sir! I didn't know what I was doing... I'm really sorry..."

Mizu quickly looked away, refusing to gaze in those deep haunting red eyes. "I'm so sorry to hear that..." Her voie though quiet and soft, was genuine and sincere. The quiet silence that surrounded them was disrupted by what seemed to be a rather noisy and lively couple squabbling nearby. Mizu raised her head to look at the couple. The fireflies around them were beginning to fly away or slowly, their glow became dimmer. Didn't the couple know that such loud noise could scare the fireflies away? Mizu looked on, not very sure of how to approach the couple. She didn't want to break their precious and loving moment together. But neither did she wish for the fireflies to go in hiding and end their glow so early into the night.
