I was wondering who actually goes to the gym and workout.I am in High School and got into a weight training class and was hook right away. But I got a new guidance consular who shoved me in a Contempery Health class. Even thought I went to the teacher to drop the class my Consular refuse to switch me. But when I did not work out I got really sick and was in and out of the hospital for a month. I join the gym Crunch, became healthy and gain 10 pounds of muscle.I use weights and I go to a Kickboxing and Cleporia class,Both marial Arts classes. It help improve my social life ALOT. I just wanted to know does anyone else work out.

I workout in a different way.Gyms are too boring for me so yeah.I take martial arts and it's pretty fun actually o_o.There's a saying that goes "If you can take martial arts training, army life will be a joke for you" =D.Not that I'm going into the army or anything but working out while beating up others and learning how to dodge and counter is rather fun =D.As a matter of fact, VERY fun.

Well I dont go to the gym, and if I do, my cousin has like a real one in his huge basement, so I can go there. I usually just go outside, go down to the park adn just play basketball, kinda like excercising. Our Spring Fitness is comming up here in my gym class, so I better get ready for that!! tryna beat the chin up record for ninth grade(30)

It's sad really... I don't go to the gym and there is a free one right on campus. I would go, but I don't want to go by myself and my roomie never wants to go. Oh well...

I've been going to the gym for two years already. It's fun, especially when I see the results. It's addicting, in a very good way, I guess.
I go to the gym every day, when there are classes or when I'm not busy doing schoolwork. During vacations, I go to the gym three times or four times a day. I do cardio all the way. Weight training comes at the latter part. ^^

F#$kin' A! I run 2-4 hour track practices or 3 hour football practices, depending on the season. Then I lift atleast 2 hour afterward everyday. To me physical activity is the most rewarding act to engage in. I love the ability to see the paragon of my bodily existence and retaining/enhancing it through more and more strenuous exercise. Watching my performance ramp up and up through sheer perseverance is truely amazing. I can't live without exercise. It keeps me balanced and gives me reason to push harder.

Yes it does. You don't have to be a psycho like me just to enjoy working out. People do it for recreation, health, sports, and to socialize. Basially you can go and do hardly a thing and still call it working out. It depends on how much you want to get into it. My tip is to do research beforehand. If you want to see results then look up what will get you those results. Just walking into a gym, picking a machine and going to it won't get you good results. Diet, rest, technique, and determination all have effects what you see after you get done.

I dont go to the gym,or get exercise, but I gots my reasons
1.I'm not overweight,in fact i'm underweight.
2.I already have enough heart problems.
3.I'm lazy
4.I have no reason to socialize in a gym,the topic is always the same.
5.I don't need to look fit or muscular,I don't believe in romanticism,so no need to work out for body appeal.

I DO like to play sports however,in P.E.
ahhhh yes,the hot sun,sweat,and bruises...
Seriously though,P.E. was one of my favorites, just barely getting beat out by lunch and end of school time.

I was born with a heart defciency,I had to have heart surgery and now I have a large scar running vertically down my chest, other than that,I'm okay.

I'm not suppose to over exert myself in sports,so that my heart won't fail again.

Trust me,overextending myself won't happen in a long time.
*Sits in computer chair, drinks drink, eats chips*
See?

The only time my heart gets in the way is in football, and basketball(I like both of em'),but I can't play football anyways because of my weight. But I can play touch,or semi-tackle football.

-semi tackle football is grabbing the other player and throwing them to the ground,as opposed to tackeling them.

I am no master of heart conditions but I do know it's a muscle. You can train it to become stronger. If you really want, try cardio in an interval workout. It would definetly strengthen your heart and eventually you might get a greater degree of freedom to exercise normally.

Its more complicated than that, the arteries in my heart where in the wrong place, the heart's ability to pump b lood is fine now,but not totally able, too much pumping is a bad thing.
I can't train arteries,but I can still exercise normally,just not too much.

Last time I was at a gym was last year. My gym is my house. It has the basic necesities that a gym has. I go to karate class once or twice a week also.

I think Kotuso should by a scythe, he can swing that around for exercise.

(thinks)

You know, I just got a sudden desire to go buy a scythe.

I still haven't swun around my big sword enough though.

Well if prolonged high heart rates will do the damage then try a strength workout. They are low rep, hard weight, and tons of rest in between each set. Or eat chips that's good too. My track coach was putting together an athlete profile for me today. Since I started maintaining instead of strengthening I have lost a lot of mass but kept my strength and endurance. So I lost a lot of pump, which saddens me =(. But my profile has me at 6' 1" tall, weighing 190lbs., and my body fat at 2.5%. I want to be 200lbs. again. But I have to wait until after track season before I can build up to 225lbs. where I want to be for college next year.
