my freinds and I consider ourselves neo-religious(we believe in all faith) does this seem possible and do you think it could stop the suffering in the world?

No pun intended.... but how come? You mean to say, you believe in God, as well as you believe Allah and Buddha? Having 2 religions is complicated enough, leave alone believe in all! o_O;;;

i agree with aveca... believing in all faith is sorta mean, that u don't believe in anything. It's like that u don't have a religion.
No offense though, it's just what I think.

I dont think it will end the suffering in the world. But instead, it'll bring more confusion....

Here's what I have to say:

"You can't serve two masters at once."

What if I jump out
of this speeding jeepney?
Fly without wings
Reach for the grey-painted heaven
And out into the sea of infinity?

Nope, even i read in a novel i that i forget the title, every religion in the world is combined and the result? each religion's identity is lost and there's no more religion... i agree with x-voltz, it'll just bring confusion

And even if the group got bigger, it won't change the world to a better place. But maybe worse.

Imagine all the different faith rules, mixed at once. And u have to obey them all. It won't be a good thing. Not at all...

Re: NEO-FAITH
there is no need for faith... really.

подъем против разрушения приносит смерть к свободе бога к вольности людей для вечности

I agree with Angelo Cadulto

It's not about serving two masters. Actually, it's not about a single master at all.

I believe what he's saying is that all the 'masters' are the same, regardless of how they are described. As far as the Muslim and Christian faith are concerned, they are separated only by the human element. In fact, they even believe in the same god.

In any case, I, too, believe that having faith in something is a good thing. Faith isn't about 'rules' at all, but about belief, anyway.

In response to Angelo Cadulto's question, however, the only response is "It doesn't matter".

In response to the idea that "one little group can't change the world".... the founders of America were a very small group, as were the group of the original Christians. The muslims started with one lone man.

Well, i think they interpreted it like not just faith but all religions also.

The faith I have is, is faith in the fact that either something or nothing controls this universe and when I die either something or nothing will happen.

nurii - Yes, Neo means New... and I think that's what they meant, 'new religion'... sort of a corrolary of all religions, I guess.

Many - Poly, multi. Polytheism, however, means believing in more than one god, like the Ancient Greeks and Romans.

Don't know the exact definition of "omni" but it makes words like "Ominous", "ominpotent", etc.

Pseudoreligiosity (if that's even a word) would mean "Fake religon" as Pseudo means Fake.

Nothing will stop the suffering of the world , no matter what you do there will always be pain and suffering somewhere in the world there will always be there gap of the rich and poor where the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer unless the whole world turns communist lol . and no , I do not believe in this neo-faith you speak of , its nearly impossible for you to truly understand all religions and you'd die following all the rules and customs of every religion and if you did truly understand the religions and believe in that god then you should also know the fact that its clearly stated that you should only believe in them , whichever god that is . Correct me if im wrong =/

DaedalusMachina is correct on my feelings... all are the same and each seperate god for other religions is a seperate action from god.and crossfade, the rules in every religion are to ensure rule and order is maintaned....with law who needs more rules..the only rules you need to follow is,donot kill and donot maim unless it is for the good of mankind or to keep yourself alive.

The 'rules' and 'customs' of religion that everybody is talking about is strictly the human element working, not the spiritual element, and are more important to the organization rather than the core ideas of the religion itself.
