editing real player (.rmvb) files

is it possible at all to edit real player files? or at least convert them to .avi, .wmv or .mpeg format?

So... if I have soundtrack files that are in .rmvb file... that means I can only hear them on PC?

you can use avisynth.download it from here
if you're using adobe premiere to edit the files downlad this instead

at notepad type in:
DirectShowSource("c:location of your videovideo.rmvb", fps=23.976, convertfps=true)

then,
File>Save as
Select Save as type:All files
Save as video.avs
*be sure to be able to play the video.avs file in your movie player

then,edit it with windows movie maker or VirtualDub or other video editing software.

and your all done!i use this method to edit my real player files files^^
edit:i'm not if this method can be use to convert .rmvb file to .avi or .wmv media file types.haven't tried it
