I saw the documentary about The Gospel of Judas and its contents were quite shocking. It was totally baffling, considering the fact that it contradicts the other Gospels in the bible, specifically its portrayal of Judas as a traitor. Now, if you watched the documentary, or researched about the said Gospel, do you find it controversial? Does that make you reconsider your knowledge about Jesus and Judas? |

The Gospel of Judas is stupid if I might say. It was written long after Christ died. It would not change the image of judas as it tries to do. Besides, it is backed by gnostics. ^_^ Judas was a traitor and he always will be for me, and for every Christian, hopefully.. |

If the Gospel of Judas was written long after Christ died, then that makes Judas' suicidal a fake. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Judas commited suicide before Christ died.

i don't believe everything that is written in the bible anyway. if you happen to be a reader and you try to analyze before you believe anything, there are lots of contradictions in the said holy book. some are even philosophies just to justify what the superiors have done in the past or are still doing now. and here in the philippines, the religious always emphasize that the poor are blessed but the rich can buy and do anything they want. because money is not important at all but money makes the world go round. and the one who invented money are the ones who had been claiming so much belief of the teachings in the bible. it's almost similar to fooling us. so if the gospel of judas is stupid and so probably is the bible. because none can prove the authenticity of it. what's wrong with the catholic community here. they didn't allow the showing of da vinci code movie. since galileo's era, they had been trying to suppress subversive information to the people. i had been waiting for that film because i haven't read the book. urgh.. really annoying. ![]() |

According to what I've been told it was written 300 years after Judas was supposed to kill himself. Also it wasn't originally written in Greek (which is what the disciples wrote/spoke in at that time frame) it was translated into Greek... making it a fake document. That's what my Greek professor stated in class after it was aired. |

Actually, if you watched the documentary, you'll know that all of the gospels according to the disciples were written years after the death of Christ. |

No!!! u got it all wrong. Let me get this straight. There are 2 Judas in the bible. The Judas that betrayed Jesus, allready dead, before Jesus is dead. He killed himself. But the gospel of Judas, was written by Judas, the brother of James. NOT Judas who betrayed Jesus. |

Ohhh...so that's the real Judas eh? You know a lot 'bout religion, x-Voltz. Anyway, here's what I got from a source: "...As a second or third century document, the Coptic or ancient Egyptian language Gospel of Judas is literature produced by a cult called Cainites, that is identified with Cain, who along with Esau and Judas are presented in the Bible as 'villains' and yet Judas'person and role are defended as necessary and indispensible to the divine plan of redemption... Whoa, that's pretty cool. Both of you really know your stuff in religion. I honestly am quite interested in conspiracies concerning about Christianity, not that I want to stain it, just interested. |

yes, i think it's very controversiaL and it does have a point there~♥ it says that Judas is the sacrificiaL lamb so that Jesus can die and resurrect to save us ~nyao in the documentary, it's said that there are more gospeLs~!! and, that onLy 4 gospeLs were pLaced in the bibLe~nyao so you can't reaLLy judge the gospeL if you just base it on the 4 gospeLs that wouLd seem biased; how wouLd you know if the other gospeLs are wrong? in the gospeL of judas, it's says there that Jesus said to Judas: you are the onLy one which can understand me~ [something like that] it's actuaLLy logicaL in a sense, jesus wouldn't have fulfilled the prophecy ~if not for Judas here's an anaLogy: like in star wars: ~there wouLdn't be baLance in the force if anakin[is that the correct speLLing?] didn't become eviL [Darth Vader] ![]() ![]() ![]() m y . @gij It's gonna be mind-boggling if you're gonna "analyze" the Bible word by word. Especially the book of Revelation. You'll never know if that part of the New Testament describes the infamous "End of the World" literally or symbolically.

Haha... don't bother analyzing it... you'll have to think like someone 2000 years ago to understand "Revelation"... Why don't you just read a novel called "Left Behind", it's a story of what happens in Revelation... It's a christian novel actually, but the story is pretty nice... |
