As you may have realized, my webpage is now being hosted from gendou.com. Aside from a substantial speed increase, there is also a cute little navigation menu on the top! Please let me know if you spot any bugs, or if you have any ideas for new features or improved functionality.

There is a problem with searching the request page. It links to a Java script.

When I'm on the 'view requests' page and click on random user names the page takes me to my own profile. That's about the only problem I've spotted so far. And by the way, I love the navi bar up the top. Great job!

Edit Profile seems to be missing a submit button. Also, "verify password" is spelled wrong. Forum page navigation inside a topic seems to be missing the top=### bit (e.g. http://gendou.com/forum/topic.php?top=1 and go to page 2) Only things I noticed so far.

1.U could use the main page to post whatever updates(sort of like a news board). 2.There are a lot of threads in the forum. Maybe u could make some general threads so users can place replys on it instead of making new one to explain the same thing and the amount of threads keep increasing. (to start really fresh, u could delete ALL the threads) 3. About uploading, can u put some sort of of a status bar or something to show us the progress of the uploads( sort of like the one that apears when we download mp3) Note: All the above are merely suggestions nothing more. The final decision is up to you(Gendou) weather to take it or not. |

thanks bernz for those suggestions. 1. i will put message of the day type stuff on the homepage. 2. i leave thread creation up to the users. i could do some sort of archiving, but that is not a priority right now. 3. no, unfortunately the way uploading works i cannot give feedback until the upload has already completed. it would be possible to offer anaon-ftp or some kind of java uploader, but that seems like more work than its worth at this point.

| Some songs don't have the names of the artist. Can something be done about this? For me the names are necssery so the songs look more complete. If nothing can be done, well just forget about it Gendou. |

Is it possible to allow us to see the other posts in a thread when we reply? It would be more convenient if we could see the other members' posts while we're typing our responses--even if it's just to give us a reminder to stay on topic.
Anime is w00t. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. =)

bernz: i get the artist info when people request a song, or from the uploaded file. if i cannot find it, i hit up google. if that fails, i leave it blank. what more can i do? if you have additional information, feel free to post it.

rockoff: yes, i agree with you. however, that would mean more coding which, with all the bugs right now, may take a while to get to. what i do personally is make a new tab for the reply, so that i can look back at the other tab for reference.

New server! Are you manning this server? What are you using for the server and the database? Off-topic, really. I'd just like to commend you for using a minimalist front-end design cause it speeds up the loading :)

MySQL 4.0.something and PHP version dinosaur. The hardware is roxor but the software needs upgrading.

Got a suggestion Gendou. About the uploading page. Perhaps u can put instrustions on it like the one u have for submiting request page. U can put like how to upload, u only accept mp3 and no other formats, only upload songs that are requested, and other stuft. That way the page wouln't look so blank to the naked eyes! What do u think Gendou about the suggestion? |

Hey Gendou, Great work on the site; found another (small) bug. When you do a Forum search, the topic column in the results don't link to the topic's main page. It's missing the topic # in the link (i.e. http://gendou.com/forum/topic.php?top=#) Keep it up! =D
