Grief and Sorrow

Oi, hello there. I've been searching allround, this is a desperate attempt. I've searched the internet for a song, which I know is "grief and sorrow". I found it too. It's the original version from the OST3. However, although it's nice, it's still very different from the "grief and sorrow" you here in the show itself, which I like better due to it's simplicity. Would anyone here know where (or if) I can get a "grief and sorrow" version that's more similar to the one they use in Naruto? Thanks in advance, Enn. EDIT: I know this might be interpreted as a request, but since I already have the original, I thought it wasn't a... real one. If admins still don't approve of it, I apologize. |

Sorry, no requesting the song here, but I'll give you a tip. Usually, if they use it in the anime at all, it's going to be on a soundtrack. For it not to be on any Naruto soundtrack is really weird. I'd really like to help you out, but I can't go any further. Maybe others can help locate which CD it appears on? If any, anyway. If anyone posts links to a song, I'm gonna be kicking you in the shin. ;o    |

I think you misread my post. I _have_ the song, it _was_ on the soundtrack. The 'problem' is, it's not very similar to the original song on the show, which I happen to like better. So I'm just wondering whether the show's version exists as a seperate file. |

You're misunderstanding me. If the song was on any soundtrack, it would be there. Otherwise it wouldn't exist anywhere outside of the show, which I said was very odd. Which episode/s does this song play in? |

For example: Listen to the background music when Neji dies in joint-episode 116-117, at 39:37 minutes. Then listen to how that song is performed on the soundtrack, named "Grief and Sorrow". There's quite a big difference between the way these two songs sound. So again, I have the song, I'm saying it's different, but _not_ in the sense that a whole song is missing, but in that I like the way it's performed in the show better. |

I know what you're saying, but what I'm saying is completely different. I'm wondering if the song happens to appear on any other kind of soundtrack. I'm not referring to OST 1/2/3, but rather "variants". For a lot of anime, there have been separate 'sound file' soundtrakcs that had music different than what has already been released. If there are any kind of 'sound file' soundtracks for Naruto, then it would probably be there. On top of that, if there are any other versions of 'Grief and Sorrow', it's bound to be on some kind of soundtrack somewhere. |

AH! I know what you mean, it's because there are two versiosn (both of which can be found here at gendou). The version used most in the show is the piano version called 'sadness and sorrow'. Hope that helps. ^_^ |

Rhinneh, is't sadness and sorrow a different song altogether? And riceboks, I indeed misunderstood you, sorry. However, I didn't find a sound file soundtrack of this song, which was why I posted this initial request-type thingy here :) Well, too bad, perhaps I could rip all the non-spoken parts from different episodes and create it as a file myself. Yeah, I wish I could help you further as I like the version you mentioned better than the 'official' one. :( And yeah, Sadness and Sorrow is different from Grief and Sorrow. :0 |

| Well, listen to Sadness and sorrow anyways, because Its the song they usually play at sad times and it might well be what you're looking for. I'll go listen to the part where Neji died and check which song that is. |

Chosen One: It's man, and I'll be sure to let you know if I find it somewhere. :) Rhinneh: Sadness and Sorrow is defenitely a nice song too, but it's a very different song. The song I'm looking for is defenitely Grief and Sorrow, or the simplified show version of it anyway, since the official soundtrack version can indeed be found here, at Gendou.com Oh, and as it turns out, Neji didn't die there, I just didn't reach the episode yet where you hear he was critically injured, instead of dead. Happens a lot, I guess that's a form of anime-ninjutsu. |
