hi... I was confuse when I select Audo compression to back up my CD... I know MP3 was great, but there is a new more compact codecs, like AAC, MP4, OGG etc. I read on the net, all that new formats is best, but I wanna know the best format for : 1. Human Voices 2. store to computer 3. Backup devices 4. DAT mastering ok thats my questions...

OGGVorbis? I think it is the same like Mp3. If you want the best quality, I suggest that you use WAVE but it eats up a lot of space. Best format for human voices? If you want the best quality, try saving it @ 320 kbps but 64 and 128 kbps is already fine. The most commonly used compressions (as I have noticed) are 64, 128, 160 and 192 kbps. For computer: The same answer. For back-up devices (CD, FDD, Flash Drive, Zip Drive, etc): Also the same. For DAT Mastering: Is this for VCD? For Video Editing? I don't know what DAT mastering is, sorry. |
