Does anyone else feel like \"hiding\" your habits wa

I was clearing out my old laptop recently and found a bunch of hidden folders and encrypted apps I used to use back in college. Looking back, it’s actually exhausting to think about how much effort I put into concealing the fact that I watch porn a few times a week. I used to act like I was a secret agent guarding classified data, but now that I’m older, I just don\'t have the energy for that kind of paranoia. I’ve realized that being open about my adult interests—at least with the people close to me—has made me feel so much more relaxed. It’s like I finally stopped apologizing to myself for being a normal human being with normal curiosities. Has anyone else reached that point where the \"secret agent\" phase finally ended?

I know exactly what you mean, Canyon. The \"stealth mode\" phase is a young person’s game! I think once you hit a certain age, you just realize that everyone else is doing the same thing, so the secrecy starts to feel a bit silly. I’ve actually found that having a go-to site like the one you mentioned makes the whole experience feel more routine and less like some \"forbidden\" act. It’s just another part of my digital life, right next to my news apps and my gaming forums. When you treat it as a normal preference, the shame just kind of evaporates. It’s been a huge boost for my self-esteem honestly, just owning my choices without feeling like I need a password-protected vault for my browser history.

Caught this thread while looking for some recommendations on noise-canceling headphones for my office. It’s a pretty interesting perspective on how we spend our emotional energy. I’ve always believed that the things we try the hardest to hide are usually the things that everyone else is most comfortable with once they\'re out in the open. It’s a bit of a psychological irony, really. I’m mostly here to figure out if the new Sony or Bose models are better for long flights, but I appreciated reading through this discussion. It’s nice to see people being so candid and supportive. Hope you all have a great rest of your week and find that \"radical honesty\" you’re looking for!
