Jun San: (Walks into room) Its been a long time. Too long by far. I should have returned long before the war started. It is high time I gather my squad and stop him. His wrath has seen its final days on this earth. I shall send out the call and god willing they will come. Jun San: Loyality runs strong through the Tsubake Clan. They will come. They have to come. Jun San: (paces back and forth) Why have they not come? The message was sent hours ago. If noone answers the call then all will have been for naught... Funsch: (Opens the door and enters the room) Hello is this the Tsubake Clan? Jun San: (turns form the window) Yes this is the clan. Show us your skill or leave. We have little time and we can only take on the best fighters. Jun San: Prepare your self. Jun San: We must move out with only us three. We havent much time. The others will join us on the way to Kijo. Funsch: Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. I am Funsch the "Wild Mage". I was hired by one of your allies to assist you on your mission. Unfortunately their troops are delayed due to a bridge collapse and they told me to go on ahead and that they'll catch up with you guys later at Kijo. (Brief Description of Wild Mage: A character class with "raw magical powers" that flucuates whether the effect is good/bad or causes something else that is completely different (or know as "Wild Surges"). It is said that Wild Mages study these kind of powers to unlock the secrets of these powers and discover even more powerful magic. As the Wild Mage becomes more experienced they have more control over there "Wild Surges" and can reduce the deficite of there magic if it does not go the way they want it to.) [In the snowy wasteland of Belvedia, a lone figure is seen walking in the distance. The armor he wears is as cold as ice, as hard as steel yet as light as feather. Soaked in blood by the countless battles he fought over the frozen land, his jet black armor now shines in a crimson glow. Carrying the weapon called "The Twilight Moon", it is a giant battle scythe that is said to have been forged the very day the kingdom of Belvedia was destroyed. This weapon carries the souls of those who fought the "purge". Is this mysterious person a friend or foe to the heroes?] Shard: I sense an imbalance.....could this be "him". No! It cant be! He was....he was sealed a thousand years ago in the deepest part of the Delorian continent. I saw it myself, for hundreds of years i rome this forsaken land, erasing what little memory the people have to "him". I cant! No! I will not let the "purge" happen again. I must travel to Kijo in order to reach the port. I pity the fools that would stand in my way, they shall taste the power of the Twilight Moon. (Meanwhile on the road to Kijo. Sun Jan and his slowly growing group make their way down the Hitsumora Trail.) Sun Jan: I see. It gladens me that i still have allies in the Kingdom. I will happily have you on my squad. A wild mage is a rarity these days. How did you find yourself working for the kingdoms? Funsch: I just happened to stop by the Kingdom on my travels and decided to visit the local Tavern. Somehow the word had got around quickly that there was a Wild Mage in the Kingdom and the King sent some of his troops over to the Tavern to make me a offer to join them on there mission to Kijo. They said it was a personal request from the King himself. So I decided I needed the gold and accepted there offer and the troops escorted me to the King's throne. The King explained the situation in Kijo and in the new morning I followed the King's troops out to Kijo. Strangly enough, the King's troops kept a fair bit of distance away from me while we were moving. Probably that they were scared of my magic and what it could do to them. However, we were soon ambused by bandits and nearly fell to a bridge collapse. I was fortunate to had just finish crossing the bridge when it happened. The troops were still on the other side of the bridge. We all fought off the bandits bravely although I got hit a few times since my magic failed me on a few occasions. But we managed to win the battle without any serious casualties and I managed to turn a few of the bandits into trees and squirrels. The Troop's Captain told me to proceed on to join up with you guys, and that they'll figure out a way to catch up later. Sun Jan: Well now, thats quite a tale. I hope your magic is reliable enough. I cant have anyone on the team if they might be a danger to us. (Clasps Funsch's forearm) Sun Jan: Welcome to the team. (And so the group continues to Kijo) (The group sees dark figures moving about in the woods, but they cnt make out what they are. Since the dark igures arent doing anything rash, the group decides to go on with there journey) ???: Ok guys there they are. We will make out plans tonight, and wait for them to make camp. Understood? Mysterious Group: Yes sir! We understand.... (Sun Jan walks around the encampment for the night. He senses trouble on the air. He slows down but not enough to alert the group he is now almsot positive is hiding in the nearby woods. He turns to the men behind him and tells them to be weary.) Sun Jan: I want all of you to be watching every direction. I want nothing overlooked. We may have company soon unless i've missed my mark completely. Funsch I want you to.... (Jan is interupted by a sudden rush of air mere inches from his head.) Sun Jan: Everyone to cover! (Jan and his men scatter and head fro the dense wood that surrounds the small valley they had made their camp in.) Sun Jan: Bowmen, find a target and fill it with arrows. Scouts, search the area, I dont want to be taken by surprise. Funsch keep your magic at ready. Prepare yourselves for anything. (A cry of battle can be heard not far from where Jan and his men are taking cover. A volley of arrows rains down on Jan and his men.) Sun Jan: Shields to the sky! Watch your backs! (Then Jan sees them. A small army is approaching from the north. A battle would soon be at hand and all hell would sonn break loose...) (The moon slithers light through the trees, and the constellations begin to set fourth the untrained future. The north star frowns upon the buzzing of footsteps. Sun Jan's face cracks from the glimmer of a nearby katana. Jan's Hayai Tetsu style was spoken throughout the continents. The darkness that is the mysterious group marches toward crooked conflict. With Jan's Bushido (Way of the Samurai) at his disposal, his hand flinches towards the hilt of the sword known as Sona Zetsumei. Jan reaches into the folds of his robe and silently pulls out one of the many hidden knives, he deftly throws it into the darkness. A shriek pierces the air elliciting a gorgon gaze from the silouhette of the assumed leader. Out of nowhere the exclamation of "Attack!" shatters the silence. Within seconds the echo of many swords being unsheathed evelops the battle cry. The battle begins while a band of light shows on the eastern horizon.) Zennou: It is as was written in the prophecy. (Darkness has fallen upon the soldiers. As Jan fights without thought, he sees out of the corner of his eye, a shadow of a man. Being distracted, he nearly loses his eye, as a samurai tries to lunge at him with his worn out katana. It breaks in half by striking a tree. Obviously the opposing force had no idea of what to make of this simple "peasent". Jan comes at them in full fighting force, trying to quickly get this ordeal over with. What the army expects even less of is what comes next. In an instant, 4 riders on horseback are cut in half, their limbs barely holding to thier torso. ) One screams: "NO! Some kind of..." before he finishes his sentece, his head is tumbling like a boulder towards the rest of the samurai. In terror, the general screams: "Hold! Enough! We are to ride back to Kao-Shan. Retreat!" About 30 samurai flee. Nobody expected the battle to end so abruptly, and confusion spreads. One asks: "I saw an angel of darkness. It was gone instantly." Another: I heard a quick zip noise, and the next thing I know, a samurai's arm is rolling down the hill." Whoever this new stranger is, be he good... or evil, Jan knows for sure that they will meet again. Funsch: Is everyone alright? I shall heal all your wounds. (Chants while his whole body is glowing with a bright green aura) HEAL ALL THAT IS WOUNDED!!!!!!!!! (Lots of Bright sparkly green glitter rain down on all of the army. All wounds begin to close up and disconnected limbs begin to reconnect to the respective person and all pain that was felt is gone). There! Are there any dead? Soldier: (points towards a tree where 2 soldiers are dead lying against the tree) There are 2 dead here! Funsch: (Heads towards the tree) Reviving the dead is risky. My magic is not powerful enough for it to succeed. The soul may not always be bound to the body and this results in the dead turning into the undead and preying on the living. However once this happens the process is irreversible. Shall I try to revive them Sun Jan? Sun Jan: No leave the dead in peace. Many strange things have happened this night and I want no more surprises. Everyone pick up camp, we ride to Kijo within the hour. Zennou: SAAAAHH! Kyahh! Fuu! *pant* *pant* (Sweat had finally began to break down Zennou's face from training. Each executed move had hit with Perfect Accuracy.) Zennou: I'm sick of being alone. . . Up until now all iv'e talked to are trees and my fists. . (fist with moving thumb for mouth): aww don't be so sad. You could always join with that valiant warrior Sun Jan! Zennou:. . . .sigh* (Meanwhile, at the Shogun Empire) Soldier: He has come back during the night, your highness. He did the deed. Emperor: Just as I thought. Send him in. I need to speak with him at once. We may not have a lot of time left. Soldier: As you wish. *Walks towards Palace doors and opens them* (A hooded man walks into the Great Hall. (He nods his head) Emperor: I... want to thank you for doing that deed for me. Here, the gold you were promised. *Throws a sack of gold at his feet* Those samurai you assassinated we're only the beginning. There is a lot in this for you, if you want to continue. Tell me, do you want more? (Silence) Emperor: Well? I'm getting impatient. Tell me, what do you want? I will be forced to execute you if you do not speak! Come on, what do you want! ?????????????: You. *Takes out razor whip* Emperor: What is this madness?! Guards! Guar... (Spleeeek) (The emperor falls to his knees, beheaded. The shadowy figure once again escapes without notice through a small window three stories above him in the palace. The guards arrive a few seconds too late.) Soldier1: No!!! The Emperor! Sound the alarm! Soldier2: Sound the alarm, the Emperor has been assassinated! Send out search teams! The villain must not be far away! (Somewhere far east from Kijo, there is a small encampment witha small group of merc. assassins.) Assassin 1: Hey do you think we will get a job soon or are we just going to stay here and train forever? Assassin 2: I'm not sure......I'll go ask lord Takumi of what his plans are.*Runs up the train to a large hut at the top of the ledge, overseeing the encampment* Lord Takumi, i have a dilemma concerning the group. Takumi: You may speak Nakashima. Nakashima: The group is beginning to wonder if we will ever get another job by just sitting around here? Takumi: *Stands up and puts his hand on Nakashima's shoulder* Nakashima you are my most loyal companion and if this dilemma concerns you then we shall go out to Kijo tomorrow and find a contracter. (Nakashima exits and Takumi starts his Aurora fighting style with his duel Dao short swords) (The weary group of soldiers arrive in Kijo on the day of their Fall Festival. The city had been on lockdown ever since the assassination of the the Emperor. People out around the city who should be celebrating were looking especially forlorn. The assassination of the Emperor had made the people realize that the same sort of thing could happen to their beloved Queen, Lady Makubesu. Of course there were many people who thought that the Queen was behind the murder. But that was all they were, thoughts. Nobody in their right mind would openly accuse the Queen. It didn't matter to Sun Jan. He knew what had really happened. In fact you might say he was the one responsible for the Emperors untimely demise. He was set to meet with the assassin today. He was an old friend of Jan's from the First War. The Emperor had been overstepping his authority of late and had to be stopped. It wasnt a matter of good or evil it was just a matter of the late Emperor interfering with Jan's ultimate plan. Jan had a sneaking suspicion that the Emperor was behind the fight just a few days before. He would tell his men that they could have the day for themselves. No-one need know who he was meeting with or why.) Sun Jan: Ok men today you may rest. Enjoy the festival. Perhaps seek some female company.(Comment is met with racauos laughter) Tommorow I will speak to the Queen and we will continue on to Hiyataro Valley. (Jan turns to Funsch) Sun Jan: I want you to keep your ear to the ground. I want to know what the cit is thinking. Report back to me tonight at the Sleeping Boar. (With everything taken care of Jan makes his way to the Cathedral to once again meet with Edakumi.) (Sun Jan enters the cathedral and, not seeing Edakumi anywhere, takes a seat. His sits in false prayer for quite some time before he arrives.) Sun Jan: Ahh, Edukami. It really has been a long time. Meanwhile back where Funsch is........... (Everybody was staring at Funsch as he past by......) Some Kid: Mommy why is that man dressed like that? Some Kid's Mom: I really don't know dear. Funsch: //Never thought I would have been the main attraction for the Festival//. (Stops abruptly and turns around to look up at the roofs). //I thought I sense something...... Like some dark energy.// (Everyone looks at Funsch curiously) Funsch: (Clears this throat) Excuse me. (The small crowd steps aside to let Funsch who pasts by). (Funsch arrives at a shop called "Magic" and enters in) Shopkeeper: Hello there, my we hardly see any Wild Mages around here. What brings you here? Funsch: I've been hired to go on a mission. Shopkeeper: I see. Well what can I do for you sir? Funsch: Do you have any "Amulet of Focus". Shopkeeper: Sure do. That'll be 5000 gold. (Funsch gives 5000 gold in exchange for the Amulet of Focus and immediately puts it into one of his many pockets) Funsch:(Turns around)//What!? I sense that dark energy...... but this time it seems to be coming from a different source//. Shopkeeper: Is there anything else you would like sir? Funsch:(Turns around) No that'll be all. (Exits the shop) Shopkeeper: Thank you sir and have a good day. (awesome choir music playing in the background) Edakumi: It was inevitable that we would meet again. I have waited for this day. Did you notice that frost is beginnig to appear on the leaves? And it's only the autumn season... (smiles devilishly) Jan: Yes. Tell me, what are you planning? Edakumi: Oh, you think this was all me? You could say that... (Bells start ringing) Edakumi: The festival is rising to it's climax. Everyone is gathering around the balcony for Lady Makubesu. (Outside, everyone cheers for the Queen to come out and give a speech. Not only for the Emperor's death but how this counrty will manage everything form now on.) Edakumi: But some people don't like the Queen. You might say they would like to dispose of her. (Lady Makubesu approaches the balcony, withered like a hag, skinny as a twig, but no one seems to notice.) (Drums start beating softly in the background) Jan: What are you saying? You will not kill the Queen as well! I won't- Edakumi: *Shh* Don't worry. I will be standing right here. As- (A nameless soldier enters the cathedral so he could talk to Sun Jan) Nameless soldier: Jan, what is going on, I- Edakumi: Back, now. (Edakumi raises his hand in a stopping gesture, and suddenly, a thud shakes the cathedral, throwing books from their shelves and a visible jet of air rushes from his hand. It hits the soldier, who instantly gets pushed through the wall of the cathedral, leaving a gaping hole and hitting a nearby friut stand. No one seems to notice. The queen starts to make her speech.) (Drums beat louder, Jan's ears start to ring) Lady Makubesu: (In raspy voice) Ladies and gentlemen. Peasents and soldiers. As you have all heard, the Emperor's death has recently happend. It is sad, yet do not fret. He was old, and his heart must have collapsed on him. (Everyone starts to talk loud, arguing against the Queen.) Quiet! I have come not to talk about the Emperor, Edakumi: but for my future. I will be stepping down as Queen of Kijo. I have no intent on serving you people anymore. Lady Makubesu/Edakumi: The tme is now, when all of you show your true colors! (Drums blasting, stinging everyones ears, yet no one knows where they are coming from... Jan falls to the ground, paralyzed for the moment. As he falls before his blackout, he sees Edakumi looking at him with the most concentrated look he has ever seen. He sees his lips moving, but cannot make out the words.) (A chill runs through Kijo, plants die instantly, flowers become mold.) Lady Makubesu/Edakumi: Do you all see, you filthy maggots! What will you do now, that all has turned into chaos? I greet all of you a farewell, as this will be the last time anyone will Edakumi: see Lady Makubesu: me Edakumi: ...alive. (Lady Makubesu steps onto the ledge of the balcony, looks down, then up into the blue and red sky, and falls down seven stories onto the crowd. Blackness consumes all. The drums have stopped beating. Silence.) (Jan's first thought upon awakening is to wonder why he is lying on the floor of a cathedral. Then it all comes back to him. The drums. The drums were still ringning in his ear. What happened to Lady Makubesu. He scrambled to his feet and ran for the door. Edukami was surely long gone. When Jan opened the door he nearly collapsed once more from shock. The entire twon was coverd in a layer of snow. All the townspeople lay frozen to death in the main square. The sight was too horrible. He sat down in the doorway.) Sun Jan://Edakumi must be stopped at all costs. He can not be allowed to kill all these innocent people.// (Jan Then got up and started towards the Sleeping Boar.) Sun Jan://I must find Funsch. We have to gather those that are still alive and march to Hiyataro valley. Edakumi was only supposed to stop the Emperor, the Queen was not to be harmed.// (Funsch meditates in his room in the Sleeping Boar Inn without realising what had just happened outside. All of a sudden Funsch begins to hear faint drum sounds in his mind. They begin to get louder and louder until a loud BANG is hear. Funsch collapses on the floor from the shock). Funsch://What the? I must be hearing things again. But then again it could be a sign, but for what? What!? Is it late already!? But it seems like I just meditated a few minutes ago.// (Funsch gets up and opens the curtains) Funsch: What the!? //Snowing in Autumn? The skys were clear in the morning. This must be the work of magic. Oh! I have to meet Sun Jan and the others downstairs now. They must have arrived already and must be waiting for my arrival.// (Funsch quickly exits the room and heads downstairs. On his arrival he sees that the exit had been barricaded by snow.) Townsman1: What should we do? Townsman2: If I don't go home now then my wife would think I'm having an affair with another woman. Townswoman1: I have to go out now to make sure my husband is not having an affair with another woman. Funsch: Stand back! I am a Wild Mage. I'll use my FIRE magic to blast open the door, if that is alright with the InnKeeper. InnKeeper: As long as you can fix the door or buy me a new one, then it's fine with me. Funsch: Don't worry my magic will fix your door. Now stand back everybody! (Everybody keeps a fair distance away from Funsch. Funsch sticks his right hand palm out aiming at the door and begins to chant. A red aura starts glowing around him and masses of red energy begin to form in his palm) FIRE! (Only a small puff of smoke comes out from the palm and everyone "Facefaults") Townsman3: Is this some kind of joke? Townswoman2: You call that magic? (Everyone in the Inn starts complaining) Funsch: Very well, I'll try it again (Funsch sticks his right hand palm out aiming at the door and begins to chant. A red aura starts glowing around him and masses of red energy begin to form in his palm) FIRE! (This time a large fireball is release and breaks down the door. Not only that it melts all the snow in it's straight trail) (Everyone blinks twice and is in shock) Funsch: I hope that Fireball doesn't hurt anyone or anything along it's way. (Funsch receives a standard oviation from everyone and some of them begin to leave) Funsch:(turns back looking around in the Inn)//It doesn't look like Sun Jan or any of his army are here. Perhaps something terrible has happened to them. I must go and try to find them by tracing there lifeforces//. InnKeeper: Oi! What about my door? Funsch: I promised to fix your door as soon as possible, but now I have duties to attend too (Funsch runs off into the snow) InnKeeper: But wait!!! (Sun Jan runs all the way back to the tavern. When he arrives all he finds is a broken down door and a path melted in the snow.) Innkeeper: Hey, you! Arent you one of the guys staying with that mage? Sun Jan:Yes, why do you ask. Innkeeper: He owes me a new door. (Jan throws him a gold coin.) Sun Jan: This should cover the door and our stay. Innkeeper: Yes sir! Sun Jan: I was wondering where I might find my companion. Innkeeper: Oh, he ran off 'bout an hour or so back. He was mutterin somethin 'bout duties. Sun Jan: Thank you. (Throws the Innkeeper another gold.) For all your trouble. (Sun Jan then walks off back towards the city.) Sun Jan:// Funsch must still be near-by if hes left just an hour ago.// (Jan spends the next few hours combing the city and ends up finding Funsch at the edge of the city. He is sitting on a park bench seemingly thinking hard.) Sun Jan: Finnaly, I have been looking all over the city for you. We need to gather the rest of the men and head out of the city. Edakumi was the cause of all this. He made the Queen jump off the edge of the balcony. We must go to Hiyataro Valley and speak to the hermit who lives there. He may be able to help us. (Sun Jan and Funsch make their way towards the outer city to find their troops. They are on their way several hours later.) Sun Jan:Funsch, I want to speak to you in private, are all the men bedded down for the night? Funsch: Yeah, they're all asleep, I put a spell on them incase, and I put another spell incase to wake them up if any foes attempts to attack the camp. So what is it that you wanted to speak to me about Sun Jan? Sun Jan: Good. In Hiyataro Valley there is a hermit that may be able to tell us the whereabouts of Edukami. He is a little odd but he is very powerful. Rumor has it that he has found some sort of device to make things explode. Not only that he is also faster than any other man on earth so dont let his appearence fool you. We will be meeting him on the far side of the valley. We must find out what Edukami is planning. The fate of the world may depend on it. Funsch: Right! Perhaps we should rest now and head out early tommorow. (The next morning, the group woke up, packed all their rations and equipment, then moved into the horizon that was blinded by the bright sunrise as it burned the shadows of the mountains revealing the towering majesties. While heading towards Hiyataro Valley, they stumbled on a man in torn brown robes and armor made out of layers of carved stone. He stood in the middle of the road, but the irony was he had no weapons. Despite the fact the unknown man had no known weapons, chunks of stone were also placed on the front ends of his boots and the knuckles of his gloves.) ???: Good morning. How may I help you? Don't worry. I'm not a thief, if that's what you're thinking. I'm just a wanderer looking for a traveling group to fight with. I'm looking for the Tsubake Clan. I wish to be a sworn ally. Tell the Tsubake Clan, if you can find them, that I'm looking for them. They'll find me here if they wish to recruit me. And remember my name... Tetsumi. Sun Jan: Well Tetsumi, it seems that luck is with you. This is the Tsubake Clan. If you wish to become an ally than you must first prove yourself in a fight. If you win then you may join us. If you lose than you must never seek us out again. You may choose who you want to fight. But be wary. In the Tsubake Clan, looks can be deceiving. Tetsumi: I don't want to fight to join. I'm sure that there's a test of some sort. I have no knowledge on any kind of weapon fighting techniques you have, and I specialize in hand-to-hand combat. I don't want to hurt any of your friends, if you commence the fight. You choose whoever if you want me to fight. I will not for initiation. And one more thing: I know of the hermit who lives in the valley. I traveled the land for years to meet outstanding people and join on their quests. (Tetsumi takes out a dozen maps out of his pack, and shows Sun Jan the trail he had passed through the Hiyataro Valley on one map.) Tetsumi: As you can see, I passed there just a month ago. I even leave notes in case something comes up and I need to go back. I'm even an expert navigator on these hard twisting roads. I study land features to discover the locations I had to seek. I was trained by the finest orienteering instructors of these lands. If there is no test, I'll fight, but you, only, must recommend one of your people to do this. (Tetsumi kneels down and begins whispering a sacred prayer that know one can understand. He takes 7 minutes to pray. After praying, he starts meditation. The meditation takes 25 minutes. After meditation, he stretches and takes a deep breath.) Tetsumi: If you wish to start, please do so. I will not take any more of your time. Sun Jan : There's no such thing as a test, all you need is to prove yourself through a fight... So... I'll choose your opponent then... Sun Jan is confused. He doesn't know who will he choose. Sun Jan : //Funcsh is no good... He's a long ranged fighter and a wild mage... If Tetsumi is as good as he himself said, then Funcsh will be defeated easily... So... It's fist against fist then...// Okay Tetsumi, you've to fight an opponent that has the same specialty as yours... Barefist fighting... Tetsumi : (Fighting position) Alright... I have no objections... Sun Jan : Okay... Now it's your turn...! (pointing someone in the back row of the group) Tasuke!!! Sun Jan chooses a teenager. His age is about 20 years old. Seems like an easy-going boy with a polka-dot green-purple bandanna and his music player equipped, he's ready to do anything stupid Tasuke : (earphones on his ears, singing with small voice, sitting on the ground) Fum fum fum... Fum fumfumfum... Fum fumfum... Fum fum... Sun Jan : (walking towards Tasuke, removes Tasuke's earphones) Hoy... Do you hear me, boy? Tasuke : (confused) Huh? Ha? Eh... Why did we stop? I'm tired so I was sitting here... Sun Jan : (looking straight into Tasuke's eyes)Hmm... Tasuke : (smile) Just a little bit, though..... Sun Jan : (looking straight into Tasuke's eyes)Hmmmm..... Tasuke : (wide smile) C'mon cap'n! We've stopped for a long time and my legs are screaming!... Sun Jan : (looking straight into Tasuke's eyes)Hmmmmmm.......... Tasuke : (scared)... Oh... I made a mistake didn't I? (standing) Sun Jan : [sigh] No, not at all... (looking at Tetsumi) Tetsumi, do you mind if your opponent is him? Tetsumi : (Fighting pose) Not at all... Tasuke : (Looking at Tetsumi)...Hmm... (smirk) Heh! (walking towards Tetsumi) So I have to fight him, cap'n? Sun Jan : (smile) Yes! If you win, I'll buy you a dozen battery for your music player! Tasuke : (wide smile, looking at Sun Jan) Really???!!! Sun Jan : (wide smile) Of course! And if you lose, that man joins us and you'll get a bonus cut!!! Tasuke : (silence, walks towards Tetsumi).......... Tetsumi : (looking at Tasuke closely)...//Hmm... I sense a strange pressure... He's no ordinary teenager!// Tasuke : (serious, fighting pose) Shall we begin? Tetsumi : (fighting pose) You first... Tasuke : [sigh] Oh no... I'm a defender type... I'm always wait for my opponent to make the first move... Tetsumi : [sigh] same as me... Both of them are standing silently. None of them make the first step. Until Tasuke runs out of his patience and punches Tetsumi at his belly. Tasuke : (smirk) Gotcha! Tetsumi : (dodge) Not so fast, young man! (counter) This match is mine! Tetsumi's counterattack is creating a great flow of energy. This is what I call a punch! Tetsumi swings his fist towards Tasuke's belly. Tasuke : (smirk) When I said gotcha, I really got you! (take the whole damage to his belly) Funcsh : (surprised, jaw dropped) What.. kind of fool is that boy?! Sun Jan : (smile) He's my older brother's son... In other words, he's my nephew... And he got a perfect builded muscle behind that skinny body... Likes anime music a lot and always with his music player... [sigh] I'm the one he begged if he ran out of battery... Funcsh : (a little angry) I don't mean that!!! Tetsumi : (surprised) You... Impossible! My fist hitted you! Tasuke : (smirk) Yeah, it did! I just received it and make it zero!!! (counter) The fight is getting fierce. Tetsumi and Tasuke are both good fighters. Tetsumi couldn't inflict a slightest damage to Tasuke and Tasuke's attack is always dodged by him. Sun Jan is getting out of patience... Sun Jan : (screams) OKAY!!! Both of you can stop now!!! This match will never end! Tasuke : (begging) Bu... but this is getting interesting...! Sun Jan : (slaps Tasuke's head) Your bonus for this month will be decreased by 20% and no new batteries!!! Tasuke : (sad) No way... This isn't fair!!! (sitting, hopeless) Sun Jan : (looking at Tetsumi) And you, Tetsumi... (When the fight ended, Tetsumi is taking some deep breaths. Sweat is slowly pouring down his face as he tries to speak as loud as he can, even though he is still out of breath.) Tetsumi: I'm... sorry... for... wasting... your... time. Sun Jan: No, you have not wasted my time at all. Tasuke is one of my best fighters. You have proven yourself beyond a doubt that you can fight well also. I admire your modesty. I would be glad if you would join me. As for you Tasuke, ever since our master technician stumbled onto that music playing device youve had your head in the clouds. I want it destroyed. You are far too valuable to let your gaurd down. (Walks over to Tetsumi. He lends Tetsumi a hand and pulls him to his feet.) Sun Jan: I think your skills with navigation and your fighting technique will do very nicely. Tetsumi: Thank you... very much... Sun Jan. (After a few minutes, Tetsumi has his breath back. As he tries to balance himself, he walks to his pack and takes out the map he had shown to the others.) Tetsumi: You are probably taking the long way. The shortcut is just to your right. This is called Yami Forest. We are already looking at the west end right now. According to my notes, it will take us 3 weeks to get through. The only enemies we'll see are zombies, skeletons, goblins, and sandworms in the interior of the forest. On the occasion, you'll see a vampire at night looking for a lost traveler. The area is primarily flat, except some hills, ridges, and rivers. There's also a hot spring on the north end of the outer rim. If we find it, I suggest some relaxing time. When we reach the west end of the forest, we must expect to see a straight dirt road going north and south. We'll head north on the road to a village just 13 miles from the forest. They're probably guarding the town with extermination squads right now. The forest will be dark, so we'll need to use torches. We'll seek caves for shelter, unless you have camping gear to use. The caves will be cold, so I have some extra fur hides from werewolves to use as sleeping blankets to keep ourselves warm. Once every week, there'll be rainfall. That's why we need to look out for caves. I suggest using your food wisely because you probably don't have enough right now. If you run out, this forest has wild opportunities for game, if you are interested in hunting. Sun Jan, is this route acceptable? Sun Jan: That path is more than acceptable. It is wonderful. That will save days on our trip. You are an asset already. Funsch: (Approaches towards Tetsumi) I forgot to introduce myself earlier I am Funsch the Wild Mage. (Everybody in the army introduces themselves to Tetsumi) Tetsumi: Sorry, but when I said that we're looking at the west end, I meant that we are looking at it while in the east. You can't see it, but it's there. Well, never mind that. (After the clan is finished checking their supplies, Sun Jan leads his troops into the forest. Tetsumi suggests that they should take at lease 14 hours of hiking time total so that when it gets dark, they should find shelter or build camp. After those 14 hours, they look for a cave, but they can't find one. They build camp just under a total of 1 1/2 hours.) (Later that night, after everyone in the camp is asleep, a lone man heads deeper into the forest. Sun Jan wanted to scout out the dangers ahead before any of his men could face them. He did this every time they camped down for the night. Noone in the group knew he did this. They would surely want to send an honor guard and he could not risk them being hurt. He cared for his soldiers as he did his own flesh and blood. As he is walking deep into the eeriely calm forest he begins to hear a strange noise. It sounds as if cries and moans are coming from somewhere ahead of him. He decides that he must investigate.) //Sun Jan: What could that noise be? It doesnt even sound human. Unless...// (Sun Jan stops at the edge of a small clearing and the sight he takes in is gruesome beyond reason. At least twenty or so undead creatures are sitting around a large slow burning camp-fire. On stakes held above the fire are local villagers. Most of them are still alive. The creatures would occasionally turn the stakes to make sure the humans cooked evenly and took small bites out of their extremities to check.) //Sun Jan: This doesnt make any sense. The undead arent usually this organized. There must be something leading them.// (Then Jan sees it. A medium sized demon is crouching next to one of the stakes skinning a young woman alive. The demon is as tall as two men and twice as wide. He is a deep sickly green from the moss covering his barklike skin. Foot long thorns grow out of the demon like a natraul set of armor. Fire can be seen in its souless eyes. Jan knows this force is too much for him to handle and starts to turn back to warn the camp. Aginathron: I SMELL YOU HUMAN! YOU MIGHT AS WELL COME OUT FOR YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE WITH YOUR LIFE! I WILL CRUSH YOU AND DRINK YOUR BLOOD! (As the demon speaks an unseen evil shield comes up aorund the area. Sun Jan knows that their can be no escape now. He has only one option left. He must kill the demon.) //Sun Jan: I may die here tonight. But I must try my best. I cannot leave my men without a leader.// (As Jan prepares himself mentally and physically for the fight an undead creature comes lumbering at him from the right. Jan quickly pulls out Sona Zetsumei and slices it in half. Another jumps down on Jan from above and he catches it in an upper cut slice. He starts running towards the main clearing all the while fighting off undead. He reaches the clearing already covered in blood from new wounds.) Aginathron: I SEE YOU HUMAN! YOU ARE WEAK, I CAN SMELL YOUUR BLOOD FROM HERE. YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AGAINST AGINATHRON! PREPARE TO DIE! (Before Aginathron even finishes talking, Jan is sprinting towards it. He performs a move knows as the Hi Jitsun. A move that requires almost god-like speed and precision. He catches the demon across its right arm. The demon looks shocked that anything could have caused it pain. But the shock lasts only a momment. Furious rage flies across its face mixed in with what can only be called amusement.) Aginathron: YOU ARE THE FIRST TO EVER HARM ME! FOR THIS I COMMEND YOU AND I WILL MAKE YOUR DEATH MUCH QUICKER! DIIIIEEEE!!! (The demon hurls a two foot ball of fire straight for Jan. At the last moment Jan sidesteps and cuts the ball in half. Jan knows that he cannot keep up this fight for much longer. He is already very weak from the loss of blood. He dashes forward to perform the Hajin Mitsun. A near suicidal run that leads into an upward cut but changes midswing into a sideways slice. At the same moment the demon shoots a thorned vine out of its hand. The vine catches Jan across the chest. As he lands on the other side of the demon with a new wound the demons head lands next to him.) //Sun Jan: I have slain the demon and avenged these poor souls. I must try to make it back to camp to tell the others that demons roam these woods. They must be all the more on their guard.// (With that Jan slowly makes his way back towards the camp. He makes it to Funches tent and manages to tell his whole story before collapsing.) (Sun Jan awoke two days later completely healed. It seemed tha Funch had taken care of all of his wounds. He was still weak but orders had to be given. They had lost too much time already. He got out of the cot he had been sleeping on and went outside to talk to Funch.) Sun Jan: I thank you for healing me. I want you to give the order to have the army out and on the move to the Hermit. I want to make up lost time. Also being so near to death I realized there must be a chain of command. I name you my second in command. You may choose a suitable third. I am trusting you Funsch. Spread the word of what happened to me. I dont want any surprises from the undead or otherwise. Funsch is confused. He doesn't know what to do... He started to mumble himself... Funsch : //Man! What am I going to do now?! I never lead such a big amount of men!!! I think it's best to leave SunJan here for a week. His wound is inflicted by a king-class demon! It's a miracle for him to be alive! (looking at Tetsumi) Ah! That's Tetsumi!// (Run towards Tetsumi, shouting)Ooi!!! Tetsumi!!! Tetsumi is meditating under a giant tree, he's trying to concentrate and focusing his chi. Funsch is explaining every single word he heard from SunJan. Tetsumi : (nods his head)I think so, too... If his wound is indeed inflicted by a king-class, then it's death for him if he insists on going with us... Funsch : (thinking)Okay, then... Someone has to take care of SunJan... But who? SunJan'll probably mad if I'm at his side... You're needed by the team to guide them... (thinks hard)Then it has to be... Tetsumi : (closes his eyes)Someone that can nurse him well has to be his family and... (silence) Funsch & Tetsumi : (together)Tasuke! Tasuke : (screams)SAY WHAT???!!!! Tasuke screams when he listens to Funsch explanation. His eyes look ready to pop out. Funsch : (smile)Yeah... You've gotta take care of your uncle while I, Tetsumi, and the whole army march to Hiyataro valley... Tasuke : (panic)Bu...But... There's a hot spring on the way, right? Tetsumi : (silence)...........Yes... Tasuke : (panic)So...You guys will enjoy it while I'm here, right? You guys are betraying me!!! Funsch : (smile)Well...Yeah...Sorta... Tetsumi : *sigh* Okay...We have to depart tomorrow then... The night has come. Everybody in the camp is asleep. Even SunJan couldn't move at this situation. The worst case has come, there's a whole army of monsters circling the camp! Nobody is aware of this and Funsch's spell doesn't work because the monsters are not attacking yet! There's one monster running silently towards SunJan's tent. He has a goblin-like face and has a horn on his forehead. His skin color is very purple, reinforced with the steel armor he wears on his chest. His size is not too big, the same as normal human. Worse, he just made himself invisible! Meidthron : (screams silently)YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO OUR LEADER!!! The monster moves towards SunJan silently, and still invinsible! He readies his sharp claws to kill SunJan quickly. Suddenly... SunJan : (wiggling, snore)Grrrrooookkkhhh.... I kill you, demon... Meidthron : (panic)!!!!! (tries to be silent)... Tasuke : (appear at Meidthron's back, sleepy face)What the hell are you doing at this time... Meidthron : (panic)!!!!! (tries to be silent)... SunJan : (snore)Grrrr.... There's the demon, let's kill it, Funsch... Tasuke : (moans)Woah... Sleep-talking again? Thanks God his sleep-walking habit never occured again... I think I should slap Funsch silly... He is the one who will nurse my uncle! Meidthron : (tries to be silent)....... SunJan : (screams)ATTTTAAAAAACCCKKK!!!!! The whole army wake up thanks to SunJan's sleep-talking. The lead monster loses his invisibility. Meidthron : (screams silently)What?! Tasuke : (looking at Meidthron).....(moans)woah... I'm seeing things now... I must be very tired...(back to sleep) Meidthron : (screams)Die!!! The monster jumps out to Tasuke's back. But Tasuke quickly punches him at his cheek, making his jaws ripped and, of course, now he's dead. Tasuke : (moans)Woah... Why it must happen at midnight... Thanks to this I can't sleep well... (running outside) Meanwhile, Funsch and the whole army are fighting agaist the monster outside. The monster is extraordinarily powerful. One of them can kill a soldier with just one blow. The chance of winning is very little. The monsters have surrounded them and assaulted them from every single direction they can. The army is outnumbered. They can only depend on Funsch's magic. Funsch himself isn't focused at the battle and many of his spells are missed. Tetsumi started to lose energy. His chi is exploited to shoot the energy blast needed to destroy the giant ones. Fortunately, help is on the way. Tasuke : (screams)Uragano!!!!! Tasuke punches the earth, making it shakes and creating a giant crack that swallows some giant monsters. Funsch : (laugh)You're late, boy!!! The party has started long ago!!! Tasuke : (laugh)My uncle is quite nasty when he got his habits back! Tetsumi : (smile)Not bad, young man! Not bad at all! Tasuke : (laugh)Want me to teach that trick to you, ossan?! Tetsumi : (laugh)I'm not that old! The fortune goddess is on their side. Funsch get his focus back and starts to slay quite a number. Tetsumi is getting a great help from Tasuke, making it easier to slay those monsters. Finally, the fight ends. Approximately, there are 10 men that dies. Funsch doesn't want to revive them just like the other day. Maybe they should get a goodnight sleep but there's something unpredictable. Tasuke walks into SunJan's tent only to find an empty futon with blood stains. Tasuke : (screams)UNCLE?!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!! (Sun Jan awakes, and for a moment cannot remember where he is. At least he thinks it will only be a moment. He starts to realize that he isnt where he last remembered being. He is tied up on the cold floor of a dank cavern. Sun Jan doesnt think that the group would just stop like this in the middle of nowhere, he also doesnt think Funsch would tie him up. Then he smells them. Demons. This is the last thing he needs. His strength has defiantely been recovered though. Sun Jan laughs quietly to himself. If these demons think he is any less dangerous because they have removed his sword then they were in for a nasty surprise. All it takes is dislocating his shoulders and he is out of his bonds. When he is free he painfully puts his shoulders right and takes a look around. Sun Jan is silent as he walks along the coridors of the small cavern. As he goes he stealthily kills many of the smaller demons. He eventually finds himself at the mouth of the cavern. What he finds effectively brings down his confidence. A small army of demons is camped outside. After taking stock of the situation Jan smiles a little to himself then sets to work.) (Back at the camp, Funsch and Tasuke stare in shock.) Funsch: You never told us about these demons, Tetsumi! Tetsumi: They were never seen and written in the notes. I keep track of everything when I travel. I only heard of these creatures in history books when I was 16, just 9 years ago. Those monsters that use invisibility, fire spells, and manipulate the undead, are hellspawn, the sons and daughters of the deadliest of all demons that reside in the Hell realm. Today his is known as Satan, but he is known in ancient times, and by me, as Memnoch. He captured Sun Jan because he too weak to battle along with his troops of undead soldiers and demon generals. He want's Sun Jan's soul to strengthen himself again. Even if Sun Jan is able to escape at full health, there can be sentry troops outside of his prison. The best generals are the hardest to beat. Even if Sun Jan can take out a general, Memnoch has to be taken down by someone who has the knowledge of casting Holy spells because Memnoch uses Dark magic. He may be weak to fight, but he still has strength to use magic against his enemies. Tasuke: Will Sun Jan have any chance of getting by? Tetsumi: Hellspawn demons have a keen sense of smell, sensitive hearing, and they can see in the dark. They are more likely to be called predators since they feast primarily on human flesh, their favorite main course. (Sun Jan walked calmly out of the cave and out into the middle of the camp stealthily snapping the necks of any demons in his way. It took a few moments for any of the demons to realize that he was there. Once they did a mad flurry of activity took place. Demons scrambled to pick up their weapons and surround him. ) Sun Jan: I didn't like the air in the cave so I decided to come outside. Your rude little friends wanted me to stay so I killed them all. (The demons hiss and scream at this comment. Their had been more than one hundred of their brothers guarding Jan. It did not seem possible that he could have gotten out.) //Sun Jan: If I can reach my sword I just might be able to survive.// (Sun Jan spots the object in question lying against a tree on the other side of the camp.) //Sun Jan: It could not be somewhere easily accessible could it.// (The demons rush Jan, full of loss and rage over their dead kin. Jan crushes the skull of the nearest demon with a well placed kick. The next demon to come at him suffered a deadly punch to its chest. Jan started to run towards the tree, all the while slaying his enemies.) //Sun Jan: Im almost there...// (Sun Jan slowly fought his way across the field. At one point he had picked up an axe and was now using it to speed his way towards his sword. By the time he reached the tree he was once again covered in new injuries and many of his recent injuries had broken open.) //Sun Jan: Now that I have my sword I must try to get back to camp. If I try to stay and fight I will surely die. But what direction is camp?// Sun Jan: Would any of you be kind enough to point me in the direction of my camp? (The demon screeched furiously and lunged for him.) //Sun Jan: I see a path up ahead leading towards here. If I follow that I may be able to find my camp.// (Sun Jan ran with as much speed as he could muster towards what he hoped would be the campsite. The entire demon army was right on his heals. The chase went on nearly an hour before Jan sighted smoke rising above the next . With only minutes before the demon horde would arrive Jan called out to his army.) Sun Jan: To me men! Rally to me! There is a full demon army on the way! (Hundreds of men flew into their armor and picked up their weapons upon hearing Sun Jan. Many yelled welcomes to the no longer missing Jan. Jan turned to a soldier near him.) Sun Jan: I want you to go find Funsch and Tetsumi. Also find Tasuke if you can. Tell them an army of demons led by Memnoch is on their way here. Run as fast as you can. Soldier: Yes, Sir! (The soldier ran off back towards camp. Night was falling and Jan hoped his men would all be ready in time...) While SunJan waited for them, he doesn't realize that there's a demon behind him. ???????? : So, you're the one they called SunJan... The demon is almost like a human, only their wings and horns differs them. Looking at his appearance, he's not a demon, he's an evil. (An evil is capable of destroying a whole city on his own. Unlike demons, evils are free and they can think like humans, maybe better!!! They hate all the demons because the demons are still bounded by rules and regulations, the demons have to obey the higher class demons. Most of the evils are destroying villages and killing humans for their satisfaction only.) SunJan was shocked because he couldn't sense the evil. He quickly turns his face towards the evil. SunJan : (a little panic)You...!!! ???????? : (laughs)Don't be so tense!!! Easy, man... Easy... SunJan is quite panic, he never faced an evil before. He quickly pulls his Sona Zetsumei to action. But the evil defended it with just one finger. ???????? : (smile)Hey, don't be like that, man... I just wanna talk... The evil made SunJan dropped his jaw. SunJan has never imagined to face something with such power like this. He decides to listen to what the evil is going to say. ???????? : (smile)Great! My name's Shunnets and I was looking at those demons who chased you! I think I can help you escape those demons! SunJan refuses the evil's offer, he explains that his army are going to come to rescue him. Shunnets : (serious)Don't underestimate the Memnochs... When Shunnets finishes his words, a batallion of demon marches towards them. The reinforcement hasn't come, SunJan is very confused. SunJan : (quite panic)What are you going to do?! Shunnets : (smile)Well... You see, the memnoch who chases you owes me a lot... We have to finish old matters... SunJan knows that Shunnets doesn't come to talk to him just for that. He asks Shunnets more. Shunnets : (laughs)Yah... You're right!!! I was hoping you can help me,too! Shunnets: OK! Everyone stand back! (All the soldiers and Sun Jan backtrack a bit. Shunnets sticks his palm out, facing the batallion of demon. In just a split second a huge shock wave is fired from out of his palm and vaporises all the demons in it's path. Everyone just stares in shock with there eyes wide opened and jaws dangling down. They have never seen such extordinary power before, not even from an "evil". There was something different about this one.) Soldier 1: Woah! I didn't even hear any sound coming from that attack, except when the demons screamed in pain. Shunnets: (Suddenly pops out in front of Soldier 1, who panics, and looks down at him) Surprised aren't we? (Stands straight and looks at everyone) That wasen't even close to half my full power. (All the Soldiers begin to panic a bit) Soldier 2: Hey, if I'm right shouldn't there be a sonic boom straight after any fast moving object passes by? (Suddenly the sonic boom does come and all of the trees collapses around everyone and all the soliders begin to panic trying to avoid getting squashed by the falling trees) Sun Jan: OK! So what is it that you wanted me to help you with? Shunnets: I want you to go to the "City of Celestine" in the skies. Their's the "Crystal of eternal light" their and I want you to go help me steal it. Sun Jan: What!? You got to be joking. We'll be banished into the realms of hell if we do that! Shunnets: Exactly! We'll turn ourselves in and then I can settle old matters with Memnoch. That's the only way we can go to the realms of hell. Sun Jan: I will not endanger my men for such a personal issue that you have with Memnoch. Shunnets: I don't care if you take your men or not. Most importantly I just need you, since I saw you're ability to take out hordes of demons. You will provide good backup support for me. Sun Jan: And if I refuse? Shunnets: How many times have I heard that line..... You see what happen to those demons before, the same shall happen to you and your army if you refuse. (All the soldiers begin to panic) Sun Jan: I will not endanger my men. Very well I'll assist you on your mission. Shunnets:(Smiles) Good. No one has every refused my offer before. Now I like to introduce you to someone. (There was a gust of wind and everyone looked puzzled. All of a sudden another "evil" comes falling down from the sky and lands on the ground creating a huge shock wave, causing cracks on the ground). Shunnets: I like you to meet my wife "Shel". (Sun Jan and his men have never seen anything look that beautiful before and just stood and stared before realising she was holding what appeared to be a skull. Sun Jan's men began to panic) Shunnets: Don't worry she doesn't prefer the taste of humans. Shel: My we got a lot of good looking men around here. (All the soldiers start blushing) Shunnets: Hmph, humans are so pathetic, lured by beauty alone. Anyways Shel will also be assisting us on our mission. Just so you know, her power is close to mine. (Funsch, Tasuke, Tetsumi finally arrive) Funsch, Tasuke, Tetsumi: Are those evils!? Sun Jan: I like you guys to meet Shunnets and Shel. Sun Jan: Well if I am to accompany you to this castle then you must join me for a ceremonial tea in my tent. (Little does Shunnets know that there is no real ceremony. Jan is just stalling for time to figure out what to do. Jan thinks he may have an idea but he worries over the outcome.) Sun Jan: Please have some. This is my best tea. Im sure your beutiful wife will tell us what she thinks. (Hands cup to Shel. Shel is too distracted by Jans flirting to realize the oddity of having only her drink the tea. Shunnets is not so easily sidetracked. He becomes wary of Jan.) Sun Jan: VEARIN DOMINUS COLLANDE! (Suddenly Shel dissapears. Shunnets turns to Jan in a rage.) Shunnets: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY WIFE! I WILL DESTROY YOU IF SHE IS HARMED! (Sun Jan holds uf a small crystal sphere attached to a chain at his neck.) Sun Jan: She is unharmed. I simply binded her body and soul to me through this charm. Know that if I die she dies. And if you harm my men or try to take this from me she will die. If you dont coply with my orders she will die. You work for me now. If I ever find you loyal I will release her back to you. Until then I expect compliance. Give me an Evil Truth Oath that you will follow me. (Shunnets is stunned beyond words. Noone has ever done what Jan had just done. Fear and rage fight for control of his emotions. He sees no way out of the situation though and grudginly agrees.) Shunnets: By my freedom and my soul I am yours. But I swear if I ever get the chance, I will kill you. (Jan has gotten all the reassurance he needs. The oath that Shunnets has spoken binds him to Jan as surely as any magic or chain could. It is the strongest and most powerful oath any Evil can swear.) Sun Jan: My first order to you is to go and slay the rest of the demons in these woods. I want to make much haste to the hermit. Perhaps you may be able to settle your score with Memnoch yet. My second order is that you try to stay out of sight as much as possible, you scare my men. That is all. Get out of my sight. (Shunnets grumbles something along the lines of "weak humans" and "he will suffer" but he obeys Jan's command.) //Sun Jan: I have taken a great risk today but it has paid off ten fold. With an Evil at my disposal Edukami is that closer to my grasp.// (Shunnets proceeds ahead into the forest seeking any demons or threatening creatures to vanquish, not that he'd had a choice in the matter.) Shunnets: To think I'd end up like this...... A SLAVE TO A MERE HUMAN!!!!!! AND NOW I HAVE TO DO HIS DIRTY WORK!!!!!!!!!!! (Knocks down a tree in frustration with his fist, which knocks down other trees like dominoes lined up). Uh! Those trees could have been a threat...... Maybe block you're path....... (A snake from the ground start hissing at Shunnets and is read to attack him) Shunnets: WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!??? (Clicks and the snake blows up into a million pieces) (A few minutes later, just before the sun sets.......) Shunnets: (Yawns) I haven't seen any demons anywhere and I covered almost the whole forest. (Suddenly Shunnets comes to the end of a cliff and looks down. He sees what appears to be a horde of demons performing some kind of ritual dance.) Shunnets: OK! Here goes. (Shunnets leaps off the cliff and lands straight at the centre of the ritual place and a huge shock wave is sent through the entire place vaporising everything in it's path.) Shunnets: There! YOU HEAR ME SUN JAN I FINISHED YOUR DIRTY WORK!!!!!!!!!!! (His last sentence echoes through out the whole forest) (The Sun sets and Shunnets heads back to the camp. All of a sudden a shadowly figure moves around the tree tops and lands in front of Shunnets) ????????: My what do we have here? A lost traveler? (Refer to the first post about the "Vampire seeking lost travelers in the forest") (After Shunnets yells, Sun Jan and his troops run into the forest to find him and the vampire. Tetsumi stands out of the group in front of the vampire.) Tetsumi: So, you came to feast? Vampire: I hardly find any fresh blood of travelers during these last few days. You ugly human! You were my last attempt months ago! How dare you for ruining my appitite that night! You left a scar on my chest! Tetsumi: I had no other weapons except that cross that was around my neck. I had it carved out of pure silver, one of your weaknesses. (Suddenly, Tetsumi falls down on his knees and grasps at his head. The others are asking him if his is okay, but all he gives them is a smile beneath the sweat pouring down his face. As he begins to speak, he starts to recite his unknown prayer aloud and the forest echoes the prayer as energy begins to be absorbed from everywhere. As Tetsumi begins to stand up, his robes vanish and his body is beaming with blinding light. As the light dims, Tetsumi appears again in white robes.) Tetsumi: Damned immortal, return from the abyss you once came! Vampire: You should have killed me when you had the chance... LORD DRASIOC!!! Tetsumi: Yes, I am Lord Drasioc! I have chosen this young man's body to send fiends like yourself back to Hell! Sun Jan, I cannot cast any spells of the Holy caliber alone. Select one of your party to energize me so that I can unleash a spell so powerful that only those of the true good will survive the deadly blast. Sun Jan: I choose Funsch. He may be the only one here string enough to survive giving you that kind of power. Funsch: Lord Drasioc!!! I thought you were dead from the last Mage War!!!!! It's great to see you again! How on earth did you manage to survive? Very well I shall transfer most of my raw power to you to vanquish this evil entity from this realm. (Funsch chants while a green aura glows around him and a stream of green power is transfered from him to Lord Drasioc.) (Tetsumi/Drasioc becomes energized with Funsch's energy transfer and he begins to focus the transfered energy into a ball. The vampire braces for impact as Tetsumi/Drasioc calls out his attack in his ancient tongue. The energy ball soars towards the vampire and hits him. Smoke begins to build up an  |

and fill the area and all Sun Jan and his men could see was the shining figure of Tetsumi/Drasioc. When the smoke clears, the vampire was still alive yet slowly dying. Its lower body is completely blown apart leaving the upper body with only the right arm and, of course, the vampire's head.) Tetsumi/Drasioc: He is weakened. Finish him. (Notice: Tetsumi/Drasioc = Tetsumi being controlled by the spirit of Drasioc. Hope you guys understand this concept.) (Sun Jan walks forward and drives his legendary sword into the vampires head. There is a final hiss of smoke and the Vampire is gone.) Sun Jan: Thank you for helping us Lord Drasioc. I will pray for your spirit and have a prtable shrine built for you if you wish it. I am in your debt. Now that that is all settled I think it is time we get out of this forest and meet up with the hermit. Funsch: (Barely can get up and everybody looks at Funsch, while Funsch looks at Sun Jan) The Sun has already set. My energy is almost completely drained and I can barely move or cast an spells. If we rest now my energy will be fully replenised by tommorow early in the morning before dawn. Shall we stay another night in this forest perhaps? Sun Jan: I suppose we should. The forest should be clear now so we should be safe. Tesumi, I want you to guard Funsch until he regains his power. Everyone else besides the night guard should get some rest. (Jan walks back to his tent to take his own advice.) (Just before Sun Jan goes inside his tent, Tetsumi/Drasioc begins to grasp at his head. Bright flashes begin to fill that area of the forest where the travelers are staying. The white robes fade back to their original brown color, and Tetsumi is on the ground panting and sweating, knowing that he used too much of himself for Drasioc. Still, he manages to stay up for the night and watch over Funsch.) (The next morning, the others wake up and see Tetsumi in his original form. After sunrise, he checks Funsch to see if his energy is replentished by praying, which would reveal a white spark that should be bright enough to blind a small squad of soldiers. Tetsumi realizes that Funsch's power is revived. He walks out of Funsch's tent, only to discover that Sun Jan is standing outside.) Tetsumi: He'll be fine. Just give him some time to wake up. (Sun Jan nods and begins to walk back, but stops when he hears Tetsumi talking again as Drasioc.) Tetsumi/Drasioc: I have decided to stay with you on your journey. Your friend, Funsch, is a valuable asset and he can obtain the powers I have. He is very talented, you see. With enough training, he can become a legendary Holy Guardian, just as I did decades before the final Mage War. He can help save our world, just as you are destined to, Sun Jan. You and your men are meant for great things in your place of history. Good luck, and we will meet again when I am needed. (Holy Guardian - The protector of the world against all forces of absolute darkness, and the highest rank of all socerers that use Holy spellcasting.) ...HOOWAH. Another revamping of the RPG. (Funsch Wakes up and walks out of the tent) Funsch: Thank you all for waiting for me to re-energize. Funsch: Shall we proceed Sun Jan to the West end of the forest? (Sun Jan nods and the party heads out to the West End of the forest and finally reaches their. Everyone turns back and looks at the forest once more, remembering all the crazy and adventerous events that had happened while they were there. Now it was time to move on, continuing the journey to find the Hermit who was the key to locating Edakumi). Funsch: Shall we head north Sun Jan? (Sun Jan nods and the whole party heads north) (Thanks Josh, for da special thanks!!!!!! It really means a lot to me to be given that special recognition of being the first to post in your forum. Thanks again!!!!!! I would also like to give Josh special recognition for his hard work for keeping this thread alive and by continuously working hard by copying and pasting the old posts into the new threads!!!!! Lol! (A new day has dawned for the group of weary travelers. They have been searching the surrounding valleys and plains for any sign of the hermit but had as of yet not found anything. Sun Jan fears the worst and calls a council meeting.) Sun Jan: It has been many days since we have left the forest. I fear that our hermit might not be where we originally though he would be. We may have to continue on searching on our own. Perhaps the rumors I heard were not true. I apologize for getting all of your hopes up. ... Sorry I havent posted in a while. I was in an online xbox competetion and Ive been glued to my tv screen. Im Back and ready to get this going. Oh and does anyone know anyone who might want to be the hermit? If not im going to have to think of a way to knock him out of the storyline... |

Sun Jan: I have decided for now to abandon the quest for the hermit. He may still find us someday but we have something important to do at the moment. In the village we just passed I had a disturbing conversation with a merchant. It seems the Eduakami has resurfaced. He is living under a false name as the new husband of Queen Tylindae. He is basically ruling the land and using the Queen as a puppet. I want to march our army to the south sea and stop him. |

(Yeah I remember him Josh, Edukami was the guy who controlled and killed the first queen and Sun Jan and his army must stop him from killing innocent people. I re-read that part of the first post). (Days have passed since the army headed for the South Sea...... The army was never the less exhausted from such a long travel, team morale was starting to dimished by every passing day, ever since the hermit was nowhere to be found, and the army hadn't encountered any battles at all, meaning there fighting skills and sharpness were beginning to rust.) Funsch: Sun Jan how many more days do you estimate that it'll take before we'll reach the South Sea? (Sun Jan raises his right hand and shows 2 fingers. Some of the soldiers seem frustrated and mumbled something about not being able to cope with this boredom and exhaustion anymore. Then all of a sudden a figure slowly materialises in front of the whole army and the army look surprised to see who or what it was. Sun Jan whispers some name out.) Funsch: What? Edukami..... Edukami! You mean this is the villian we are after? (Sun Jan nods) Funsch: Hmmmmm..... This looks a bit too suspicious. There's no one else around him. It could be a trap. (Sun Jan orders all his men to be on guard and stay behind him) (Shunnets was annoyed and his right eye was twitching. All of a sudden he could no longer take the boredom and lunged at Edukami. He was too fast for Sun Jan to restrain him. He punched Edukami before realising his fist went straight through him.) Funsch: What!? It's an illusion. (Sun Jan ordered everybody to guard all there flanks.) (The illusion of Edukami slowly disappeared and his evil laughter was heard.) (The sky all of a sudden went dark and thunder storms were heard. All of a sudden something began to unburrow slowly from the ground. Sun Jan told his men to brace themselves. When they could make out what was unburrowed from the ground they realised they were surrounded by an army of skeleton warriors.) |

(Sun Jan once again prepares for battle. He senses that Edakumi has sent this to slow his arrival to the city. Jan knows he has failed one queen but he will not let this one die. He must make it in time.) Sun Jan: We run straight through them! Fight as you run. We must make it to the city. Tylindae must survive. (The army sense his urgence and starts the ground eating stride they were trained to do. Some of the army may even know the reason behind his urgency. Queen Tylindae was Sun Jan's first love. She was the first and perhaps only woman that he had ever given his heart to. They had a falling out many years back but he would do anything for her. So the army fights against the skeletal army with more fierce determination then they had ever before. The army crashed through the first lines of skeleton warriors at a dead sprint but was forced to slow as the opposing force grew in numbers. Even then they still kept up at a jog. If the skeletons had had blood the ground would have run red with it. Instead the path behind the running army was covered in a layer of bone and dust. In the lead of the army was Sun Jan. Jan fought like the very devil himself. At an almost berserker pace Jan smashed, cut, and plowed through his enemies minions. The skeletons were not the strongest enemy that Jan had ever faced but they had large numbers on their side. But even with their overwhelming force Jan cut a path for his army. His men saw this and pushed ever harder. After more than an hour of fighting and running they came to the last row of skeleton warriors.) Sun Jan: Ok men! We run till we reach the city. When we arrive I want you to storm the whole place. I want no opposition. We must make it into the castle and save the Queen. Try to avoid damaging the innocents and the buildings but do what you must to quell Edakumi's forces. We may face more skeletons on the way so look sharp! (An they did indeed meet more foes. Many more. And they were much stronger then the main army. But still Jans men fought for him. They still kept up their break neck pace. Jan loved them for it and would pay them back for it when it was all over. Now though he desperately needed to make it to the city. They ran for hours. They continued on till the break of dawn. When it seemed that they might never make it to the city it finally came into view. It was spectacular. But knowing that Edakumi was in control stole all of its wonder. ) Sun Jan: Storm the main gate! (Jan's men ran to the entrance to Cerandin and set up the logs that would keep the metal gate form coming down and stormed the city.) Sun Jan:// Im coming for you Edakumi. I will not let you have this one.// ...Note: Noone should post till me and Edakumi have a little back and forth posting. .. |

(Tie-in with last post by Josh) Queen Tylindae: Oh, thank you gentlemen for being so nice and thoughtful. I hope I can wear this cold off soon. Doctor, how long will I have to stay in bed? Doctor (looking out the window): I'm not sure milady. You have come down with a severe sickness that I'm trying as hard as I can to look into. Lay in bed, don't talk, and go to sleep. I will visit you tonight. (Exits grand bedroom) (Doctor to guard): Where is he? Where did he want to meet with me? Guard: In the dungeon. Follow me. (The doctor gets led down the hall, to the first floor. They stop at the entrance and the guard whispers to his friend. He nods his head, and leads them both down a small dark hallway.) Guard: Just follow these steps, you'll get to a door eventually. Tell the guard downstairs that you're the doctor. He'll let you in. Doctor: Good. He reaches the door and goes through, showing the guards his identification. Guard: Down this hall, then take a left. He's expecting you in the room on your right. Doctor: Sir? Are you here? I was told I could meet yo-- Edakumi: Come in. Doctor: Sir? Edakumi: Sit down. I assigned you to be the doctor. You will leave the Queen alone tonight, and have her pass away. Doctor: (Backs away slowly) What... you can't do that. You're a spy sent out for murder! Guards! Have at him!(The guards, under Edakumi's call, block the doorway.) Edakumi: (Stands up, towering over the short doctor) You are not going to get in the way. (Raises hand) And now you failed me. (A quick burst of energy shoots out of his hand, knocking the doctor into the corner, sending him into a state of paralysis) (While walking in the hall, towards the Grand Bedroom) Have the queen die off. Guard: But once she has fallen, this entire capital will--- Edakumi: Do not question me. You are under my allegiance now. I will question you. How are the necromancers? Guard: Yes my Lord. They are on duty my Lord. They have summoned a militia of the undead to stop Sun Jan and--- Edakumi: No. It will do nothing to him, or his men. It is a mere obstacle. They will be coming here to Cerandin one way or another. This place is to be gone by the time they have arrived, understand? Guard: I.. I don't understand my lord. What do you mean by "gone"? (Edakumi flashes a dark glare) Guard: Ah, right you are...? Now, my muramasa, is it ready? Guard: Yes my Lord. Come with me to the armor--- Assassin: Edakumi, your visitors have entered the city. Edakumi: What, they're already here? No, I must get to the queen! Guard: Your weapon sir.... (it was too late. With haste, Edakumi ran up to the grand bedroom where the queen was awaiting her demise.) Edakumi: Damn fools. (He ran a few stories up, as fast as he could, all the while rethinking his plan... Busting through the door) Edakumi: My Lady! What have they done to you? Please, let me see how you are doing... (A white , robed figure emerges from the shadows.) Healer: Enough, fiend. Let her go, I have come to heal Queen Tylindae. Edakumi: You? You were never supposed to be here! (Edakumi holds up his hands, chanting unrecognizable words. A burst of energy shoots out... but misses the healer. Healer: Not as skilled as I thought you were. (The healer uncovers his staff from his robes, and pushes Edakumi towards and through the window with it.) Healer: There is someone down there that you might recognize. (Edakumi falls a few stories onto the ground. He gets up as quick as the fell, and realizes all the citizens around him. In front of him, San Jun stands with his group...)  |

Sun Jan: I see you have met my old friend. Yes, he has been helpful in the past and it seems he is helpful now too. You cannot have her Edakumi. You will leave this city now or perish. (Edakumi laughs cruelly.) Edakumi: You think this is over. That you have won. I though you would have figured it out by now, We are linked, you an I. We have been battling for ages and ages. You have never beaten me. I am not finished. Sun Jan: What do you mean we are linked. Battling through the ages? You must be mad! Edakumi: So. You really dont know. We are destined to continue fighting each other till the end of times. Sun Jan: No. The prophecy. It cant be true. I must destroy you. Your evil cannot be allowed... Edakumi: Dont try and dump that whole evil bit off on me. You havent always been the valiant hero. Or doesnt your "brave army" know. Sun Jan used to be an assassin for the Order. He murdered countless innocents. He has killed children to force their parents to give in to the Order's demands. Funsch: Is this true Jan? (Sun Jan is silent for a few moments then speaks to his men.) Sun Jan: Yes this is true. I am very ashamed of my past. I have done many horrible things that I can never atone for. I am a changed man. I fight for the light now. But If you want to leave I will not stop you. (Jans army cries out in protest.) Soldier: We would never leave you Jan. We will stand by your side until the end. Whoever you were before you are a different man now. (Jan feels love and pride welling up inside him and a new determination sets in.) Sun Jan: You see Edakumi. You cannot turn my men against me. And you cannot win against me now. Prepare to die. |

But to answer your question Id either wait till Polski posts again tommorow or post something that wouldnt interfere with anything that he might say. For example if you wanted to post your view of the battle and the flight to the city that would be fine. If you posted that Edakumi suddenly died that would not be fine... |
