The Gendou.com Open Lyrics Project is a system designed to allow users to contribute lyrics to songs in the database. The goal is to allow quick, clean, easy access to lyrics information. The lyrics may come from any source, and are reproduced under fair use. As a courtesy, please include the URL of the site you found the lyrics, if it was on the web. Original transliterations from CD jackets may be credited to yourself upon submission. This system is undergoing a beta phase. Please be warned the project will be be terminated if there is any complaint brought forth by the music animelyrics.com or any other party who feels their copyrights are being violated. You may contribute lyrics by clicking on the italic "Lyrics" link next to any song in the database for which lyrics information has not been previously submitted. In order to view the lyrics column, click here or on the "Show Lyrics" button on the download page.

ok, i have fixed a bug in the system, you should now be able to save lyrics information. no wonder zero lyrics had been submitted, there was a bug! i am surprised nobody brought this bug to my attention earlier... :(

No wonder, I though is my connection problem.... Question, if there was some mistake in the lyrics submitted by other forumer, can we correct it? or have to ask the original poster to do it?  |

only the person (with the exception is lyrics moderators) who posted the lyrics can edit the information. if you notice a problem in one of the lyrics submissions, post it in the "Report Problems" forum someplace.

I see a lot of lyrics that are obviously from AnimeLyrics, and you say to put a link if the lyrics come from the web.. right? But then I remember lyrics links also went to the lyrics on AL before this new system ... not that AL will complain or anything, but uhh I'm a little confused. :x For the lyrics from AL, do we put links?    |

There seems need for a new field in the Lyrics table: source. I will be making this change very soon. My new laptop came in the mail today, so I will ahve lots of coding time soon :)
