Love at first sight could happen for some...for others it goes a little deeper. By deeper, I mean further knowing the individual (as the old saying goes, "You cannot judge a book by it's cover"). I've had a few relationships in my lifetime where I thought it was first love (I was dead wrong), but hey, that's a part of life...you move on. As for me, it didn't happen the first time around...it happened like the third time, and we are now happily married.
When it comes to Anime - I just can't get enough.

I believe in love at first sight for anime guys O_O But in RL no, you might feel infatuated and be like WOW he/she is soooo hot and what not, but for love to happen you must get to know the person. If love at first sight was true, then the poor blind ppl of this world will never find true love =( Which is not true...

no way u have to k the person to fall in love , love cant come so easy and how do u love someone by their looks, i mean u look at the person then just love them no way unless u beleive in the reincarnation thing then maybe the peron that u fall in love with at first sight is just the same person u where in love in ur last life , that works?  |

i dont belive it... in truth just give a little time and love will come because the love needs time. if someone get close to someone else for a several time the seed of love will grow between them. i belive this! love in the first sight is just a lust.

Please do not read this if you don't want to know the science of love. *sniff sniff* i smell a long post coming... >.> Firstly, what is love? I love you is often seen as 'I *heartshape* you'. Why must it be the heart? Heart contains no hormones whatsoever.it just pumps bloods. the feeling of love/lust/crush comes from the chemical we called hormones that reacts towards our brain cells.(I'm not talking geek >.>) so does that mean that loves purely come from the heart? Or from the brain? Love = heart, i think means that love flows in the body likes blood, affecting every single parts of the body. It makes you feel 'alive'. Yes, that might be true. But now, where does that feeling of 'love' came from? Have you ever wondered about love when you were six? Ever feels like kissing a guy/girl back when you are 4? Why must we fell in love in the adolesence? because of the body changes and hormones, yes. and hormones reacts from teh brain. And does this mean that, love actually comes from YOUR BRAIN and not YOUR HEART? Ask einstein >.> Sight is one of human 5 senses. It sends nerve impulses directly to the brain, and causes chemical reactions that secretes the hormones, making you feel 'in love'. and therefore it has nothing to do with heart. What makes our brain cells reacts actively that it secret hormones that is so powerful and can take the reality from you away and drag you to a fairy tale? Try looking at a beggar and any star idol you like.(mostly this is for girls) Which one that will make your heart drums wild? beating hard? The hot smexy looks of ryan carberra or the eye of the beggar asking for your symphaty? Which one is more pure and innocent, and which one attracts you? speaking truthfully in the eye of science, you need something attractive enough to make your brain reacts with it. Hormones of love wouldn't just react to something that is normal or not attractive by the first sight. yes, fairy tale love does happen. a prince marries and ugly duckling. but if we go through that story, it was not looks that attracts him. It was her personality, the way she speaks, she acted and how she really is. And you cannot get them simply by the first sight. Maybe love at the first sight started when how a person looked at you. How she speaks and how she walks. YOu might see a total stranger girl looking so innocently and smiling at you, and a filthy old woman beggar who sits beside the dumpster, hoping she can get coins from the symphaty on her eyes. which one would you be attracted to? Of course, you choose the stranger girl. Why do you choose her instead of that filthy woman? They both looked at you in the same way, but why you choose the girl? 1- Looks does matter in love at the 1st sight. 2- Love is not just love. it's lust. You wanna make love to that filthy old woman? XD of course you would rather choose the girl even if she is not so pretty. don't believe me? Try living with your spouse in one house and try not to have smex for a year. Can you do that? I would be glad to see one. If we can't live with love, how can priests survive? That is, the other love, which is in another word, faith. Faith to God. Love to the parents/family? That is love, in other word, care. 3 types of love: 1- Love = faith 2- Loce = Care 3- Love = Lust. If you want true love, you need to have all that 3 factors. You can conclude this thing yourself. I'm just giving out my opinion. My opinion= love at first sights are just myths that's created so ppl looks up to the 'power of love'. True love= does exist. Don't blame me. I do. I think I do. I never had that feeling before. I really dunno how is it like. I like people. but mainly as trusted friends or like a sister or brother. I guess I am still too young to feel like that. Anyway, my parents don't approve of it until I am at least 22. I need 10 more years to reach that age.  |

O.o my opinion is that Love at first sight is just a reaction to someone else when you first meet them and cause of hormones and pharomones or wadever.....you seem to get attracted to the opposite sex *in most cases this is the case but there are a few exceptions =.=* Love at first sight is not true love......and its no love at all.....i mena you don't even know the other person and you are in love with him/her? Lol like Rini i am also young and do not know what this feeling feels like but believe me If there is such a thing as Love at first sight, Divorce will be a natural disaster too =.=

| What is "love at first sight"? That sounds like something that happens in fictional stories, and whatnot. I don't have a whole lot to say on this topic because...I don't believe in it. Now if you don't think I should come in here and say it doesn't exist then enlighten me. Until then: let's see if there are people naive enough to believe in it. |

@Mr. Magical: If you see some of the previous pages in this thread, there was a person who insisted that she fell in love at first sight, no matter how people dispute it. From her story though, I think it's not exactly love at first sight, but could be something close to that. She also wondered why some people don't believe in love at first sight when they haven't even experienced love yet, and here's my answer to that: I have fallen in love, and it wasn't at first sight. I have been attracted to a person at first sight before, but it was really just infatuation. So, I don't believe in love at first sight. (Dunno if she's reading this, but I just feel the need to write this down ;))   |

No... I don't know how you could truly Love a person without knowing their personality well. I mean, you might be attracted to the way they appear but who knows what kind of person they really are? I just think that the idea of "love at first sight" sounds so sweet and i wish it was true, but i can't seem to bring myself to believe in it. ^_^ Oh yeah and Hikky/Rean, i think a heart is used because in a person's body the heart is one of the most vital organs that keep us alive and maybe what it expresses is that we need love just like we need our hearts?  |

Of course not. That silly... I will not let mymind say "I'm in love with this guy" through first sight. As I felt it and I've realized it, first sight is LIES. How do I know? Everyone will turn into different one in the first time they meet each other, they try to be a perfect one who fit each other, but as the time goes by.. They slowly turn into what they are for truly. The appearance, ths attitude, will slowly appear as you know them and get along toward them as continuosly. And the time you really like what he/she really is. I can say you are more "like" than before ^^  |

To some, there may not be love at first sight, but for me, i have experienced it. O.o The feeling itself cannot be described accurately. Its like u feel ur heart getting faster and faster. feels good.. O.o XD Anyway, the feeling u get is way beyond that tat can be described by words. trust me.. u will really love tat feeling.. oooo.. ^^  |
