[@alvistir] Yes, I've been pretty active here since the first thread. I do remember being one of the first, first members, and since then I think I've been the most active here yet, so it's cool. McDonalds and Burger King are like ranked pretty high as a "health hazzard" or so, or it being unhealthy for you, but it's also ranked high as being popular as well, especially McDonalds. The word you're trying to think about, umm, "obesity"? [@stolen] I watch it, cause I like drooling over some of the shows (DDD!). DDD has to be the best show. I like a lot of the shows, too: Throwdown (it's funny how he looses a lot), they used to show the original Iron Chef (Japan), there's Dinner: Impossible which is another favorite, as well as others. Giada is the most gorgeous in the network. ^_~` [@JC] Wow, fried up. Talk about broiled. XD [@GM] Yeah, I'm wondering about a car for me, too. Noway I can really travel around (distances), like home if I'm living in the city. Who knows, I'm not worried about a car now, and with the situation of my dad and the rest of the family, there's no way we can afford it if I'm not paying payments. Yeah, SLR Camera's aren't cheap. They're professional cameras, so it's some what understandable the high cost. My digital camera cost around 200, and it's pretty good (doesn't zoom when you record videos though), but it compresses sound to perfection. Depending on if I get hired at Best Buy or not, I will not only buy one at Best Buy, but my future Mac notebook, too. Discounts. :P Although I live in the city, it's really busy though there's always a chance of some robber hiding in the crowd to snatch something. If someone ever attempts to steal anything I'm carrying or wearing, they're done for. Now depending on where I live, the apartment, yeah it might be the more "ghetto" place of the city, which is bad, but anything closer would be more expensive, so hopefully a light will shine our way to a nice, comfortable, affordable apartment. T_T Wow dude, your family doesn't care about you doing your own things? Finding a full-time job, getting your own place, being more independent? I know my family might be mad if I'm not where I should be by your age, but I want to be successful right after I get out of college. I want to be involved, make tons of money, and just look fresh. I probably won't get my own, own place (a house for ex.) until I find Mrs. ******. ^_~` And depending on my friend, we could stay in our apartment for a while, too. Yeah, about credit cards, I only know how to make orders with them with online shopping. I don't know how to pay 'em off and all that yet, luckily my dad does it and I pay him back for x amount I spent. [@Kira] They should invest, or dL anime and drama. When I get older, I want my own Korean/Japanese drama channel. Forget the pr0n! >_<;; [@Kakuu] I'm surprised someone else is a huge fan of the show here, besides myself. What is your favorite episode? And yeah, Robert is so weird. Mother-in-law, are you talking about Pat? Heard it was funny after watching a few episodes of KOQ? Must've been the more laid-back, boring episodes. His [Kevin James, Doug] stand-up is pretty funny, too, sweating off the small stuff or something like that. He wears all black. King of Queens is pretty funny, different aura from Everybody Loves Raymond, but it's too classic to compare with. It's cool, cause Kevin James was involved in a few episodes in Everybody Loves Raymond, and there's two or so episodes where Raymond, Debra, Marie, and Robert jump to their show (cameo or so), which was cool.

@Onii-chan~ lol back to calling me GMeis? xD Didn't see my post again? *feel rather invisible now* ._. I don't dare leave my laptop on over night. I get yelled at just for leaving it on and playing a game sometimes. This Final Fantasy doesn't use antidotes. Magicite things, so we cast Clear instead. But this area the room I got stuck, the room is poisoned. Miasma room or w/e its called. Spent about 30 min. in that room. About to run out of Cures for all the characters and still couldn't figure out what to do. Yes, I am tempted to play it today if I get bored. Hopefully, I am not rusty at playing it. @_@ @Shuy~ Well.. remind me to talk to you when I have to write it. On my checks I remember I had to write my name, address, and additional info. But I don't remember. T.T Journeyman Rank. Keep using the Swiss Knife Trap. No need to buy the other 2 pricey traps. There is 1 map in the Mountains and 1 map in Calm Clearings. Up to you where you want to head to first. Oh and at that time switch to Swiss cheese Shuy. If you feel REALLY LUCKY, you can use Marble. @DA~ Well.. hopefully if you make enough money and get the Best Buy job. You could buy a used car for yourself. But then again... when you start school and Car insurance payments.... Probably wait on buying a car then. :c lol I think I will go with a digital camera then. Professional camera is no good in my hands. Think I might end up breaking it somehow. Always gotta love the discounts at the places you work. Especially if you get certain benefits. Health insurance and all that. That's a reason why I don't like where my uncle's restaurant is. It's downtown in some alleyway. Always at least 2 police cars on streets. Hate being down there at night. Already a bit paranoid just being down there in the afternoon. @_@ Hopefully you get an apartment somewhere safe and close. Right now... I haven't a clue if they care or not. At one point, they told me to go to Taiwan and get my passport. Then they keep telling me to go find a job which I was already trying to do. So then I can't really understand what they are telling me to do. o_O But it seems as long as I am helping with some of the family stuff, they don't care as much. When I do move back to VA. I want to get a job ASAP. Move to my Aunt's house in VA, I have an aunt there too. Then, if possible, get an apartment with a friend there. That's my current plan for now. Well... credit cards... are needed eventually. Debit cards are easier to manage. Stick with that first. After you are use to that, then get a credit card. I know you can make payments for the credit card using the debit card.   |

@Everyone: Hello all, it's been quite a while huh? How have you all been? @DA: Gmeis is right, car insurance is a pain. So put off on that for a bit until you know you can afford it. Gmeis is also right about the whole debit vs credit card thing so take that into consideration. |

[@GM] I'm not worried about a car, and if I'm living in the city, a car might not be good. My friend has his car, though it got totaled, so... but who knows, we'll see what happens when we get there. In the city you walk a lot, so I guess that'll be my exercise everyday since there's no Gym anywhere near me. Not sure if I get health insurance, but the discounts I think were pretty nice. I have to check with my friend, but hopefully I'll get to know about that if I work there (still having high hopes). What do you want exactly with the whole job situation? Like, what type of job do you want? A regular job, or something that can give you enough for a future house and whatnot? Hmm, I don't even have a debit card. No idea where you get one. I've never worked professionally before, so these basic things I don't have unfortunately. [@kiralight] Things are okay. Hoping to get an interview for work when I call in next week, just looking to spend some summer days and have a total fun day with friends, before the whole college thing kicks in in the Fall. Other than that, sleeping in, watching anime, dLing music, life's always the same for me, haha.

Graduation from being single. ;_; Good luck on job searching! @MattC~ Long time no see? lol Seems like more people are popping back in. xD Becoming lazy lately, how you been? @DA~ Well.. walking is better for you anyways. Anyways, I see your point. Car is rather useless if you a walkings distance towards your destination. Every where I go though... seems that everything is spread out. Like mandatory for you to own a vehicle, otherwise take the bus. :\ I know at my old job, it had medical insurance. It was about $46 deducted from your pay to have it though. But with Best Buy the discount alone seems to be enough. lol Currently.. I want a regular job. Regular hours. When I move back though. I can work nights. Probably try working Wal-Mart or something and work nights there. Since my mother needs the car from the morning till afternoon. You apply for a Checkings account at a bank of your choice. Then after you set that up, I think as long as you are 18, they will mail a Debit Card to you in around a week. The money on your debit card is the money in the bank. Just make sure not to over withdraw. |

[@GM] Benefit about walking in the city, you get to see the pretty girls walk by. ;P From what I heard from friends, Wal-Mart is not a good place to work, but that's just what I heard. If you're going to work full-time, better be prepared for it (mentally). What did you go to college for? Hmm, I see, so you just simply apply for one at a bank to get a debit card? And then to put money on the card, you just withdraw x amount of money out of your account? [@Kira] You have a Korean drama channel? NHK!? There's nothing worth buying for American channels, haha. I'd rather have Korean/Japanese [Asian] channels then HBO and such, depends what cable you use though, or DirectTV has Viet stuff. [@Kakuu] Pat is the mother of Amy, Robert's wife. She's kind of weird (the way she talks). My favorite episode is the 'pilot' episode, the very first episode. Reasons I will not share but it's my favorite and I'm always excited to see it even though it's old and rare to catch.

@Gmeis: I've been good, doing a lot of college paperwork and trying to get some more free money. Other than that I got a job doing Network Administration at a company, I hope that it's going to go well. I'm still living a hikikkomori-esque life style. @Kira: Like I told Gmeis lots of college paperwork. I did manage to get a driver's license though, so that's pretty cool. Other than that I've been doing the usual; reading, playing games (specifically Touhou), and watching anime. @Adeline: I've been doing pretty well. I see that it has still been as active as always, there's even a bunch of new members. =) |

I also remember my cousin worked at one for a while. I don't remember for how long though. I didn't go to college. I can still go if I want though. But I never enjoyed school. One of my cousins told me, that school is not really for everyone. Its up to you if you want to go or not. Though it is best to go. So.. I chose the other path. .-. Apply at a bank of your choice, yes. Some banks want a minimal balance though, so watch out for those. Need to apply for a Free Checkings Account. You basically use it like a credit card. Just keep track of how much you deposit and spend. Many work places now don't give you a check. They instead have you do a direct deposit. So you can get the money directly deposited into your bank account. That way you don't have to wait till you get off of work and go deposit the paycheck yourself. @MattC~ Free money? How is that working out? Good luck on the paper work. lol Its mandatory for me to go out everyday now. Its so hot out now though. T,T @Shuy~ W00T 7% more to go! lol Thanks! [@GM] Hmm, well if you want to work (almost full-time), don't take a job like Wal-Mart. Go for something else, unless you find something you really like at Wal-Mart I guess. Oh, you didn't go to college? I was about to ask what you majored in. College, and I haven't been there yet, is going to be tough. Kind of like in high school, you learn things on your own: relationships, life, maturity, etc. In college, it's like another step up or level of what High School is, but can be intense, stressful, tiring, etc, but if you had fun in High School, college is supposively extremely fun once you get settled in. Your friend's right, college is not for everyone, and that's fine. You can still succeed and still be happy. A lot of people can get major jobs without actually having college degrees, too. I've seen how my friends get their checks. Either process is fairly easy, of course if you're being handed the money straight up, makes life easier, now doesn't it? Just find yourself soon. Make some money, get situated, make more out of life. Get the pulp out.

@DA~ Well.. I only want part-time if its Wal-mart. Full-time night shift kills. My last job was basically night shift. It didn't even pay up to $10. My cousin told me that there are night shift jobs that pay up to $20. Basically due to it being late night. Wal-mart should just be a stepping stone, nothing more. I know I wouldn't want to stay working at one. Its a bad time right now. One of my cousins went to college for 2 years. Her job right now that she does, doesn't even require a High school diploma. :\ Some factory job. I didn't go to college but a few of my friends did. Plus I talked a lot to my cousin. All of them told me, that most of the time, you won't know what you want to major in until around your 2nd to 3rd year. I know one of my friends loves college. Still doesn't know what he wants to major in. He loves it so much, he hates coming home. Funny thing is, he gets spoiled at home. But everything in or outside of school is learning experience. I had a teacher who once said that: "All this junk that you learn and do in high school, is only 10% of your life. Its up to you what you do with the other 90% after it." Checks or direct deposit, most places are switching to the direct deposit. I saw a Taco Bell switching to do that here. Saves time and they don't have to print out a check for you. That Taco Bell was requiring its workers to get a checkings account too. Even had a guy come in from Bank of America to set it up with them. Yeah.. I can think all I want, but until I put it into action, all I can do is wait. Every Sunday, my dad used to always ask what I want to do. I couldn't put it into words so he could understand so I just told him,"I don't know." :\ All his suggestions to me after that were always to go back to school for something. Whether it be electronics or cars, all of it led to more school. :c @Onii-chan~ lol Saw my post this time? xDD Mei won't suit the Gundam... Maybe I should find a female looking Gundam and use it for my avy? xD lol Thats the reason why I never download anything at night. I make sure to go to the library if I need any downloading done. Usually just anime and music anyways. lol There was only 1 FAQ for my game on that site. I didn't bother checking anywhere else. Too lazy. Haven't even turned on my DS in days to weeks now. :c |
