Well to me sex is something wonderful that should be shared with your love one. I was never educated on anything about sex. Maybe it was the environment that I grew up in. I barely had any sort of discussion about sex with my parents and basically I had to learn about it from my friends and by myself. To me as long as you know what you're doing and that both sides are alright with it then I guess its ok to have sex. Bear with me as my knowledge of this is pretty limited due to how I was educated on this and I have not had any experience in this field. PS: Lady Rin after reading about what you’ve written I got to know lots of things with regards to sex then I ever learn before. Thanks :) |

I think a better question is not whether or not sex is good, but rather what it means. Before you evaluate whether something is good or not, you have to consider what it means. Is it an "act of profound love", or just a natural behavior, devoid of meaning, that has been infused with emotion and tension by hyperbole in the media and culture.

This topic reminds me of a joke. Priest: Rabbi, why don't you eat some pork? Rabbi: Why don't you have sex? Priest: If I have sex, will you eat pork? Sex is only bad if you were raised with that idea. Conservitive people think it is, liberals don't. it's a matter of opinion really (I think Tree wrote in the wrong in the wrong thread)

Sex isn't wrong, it's how and why you do it that determines if it is right or wrong. Sex, of course is a part of the natural reproduction of a species as it is with a lot of organisms and it sparks pleasure in an individual because that is how his/her body was biologically programmed to be. It is wrong to simply have sex for the short term pleasure of it all, as it will probably lead to long term problems for you and others. All things have consequences to them and sex is no different. If you wish to have sex out of love instead of lust though, it is "good" as long as you are willing to take care of the consequences and both of you are truly happy with what you are doing.
You need a reason to be sad. You don't need a reason to be happy. The secret to happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible.
