The way I see it personally, auto-tune isnt all of your voice. It fixes those pitches that go awry and such and that doesnt help make you better singer. As in contrast to using reverb which we can still hear everything., good or bad. While I dont mind auto tune just for songs, I don't approve of the use in competitions at all. I wish I could detect it better personally :(

Sakura: To explain it better. Any use of pitch correction programs such as melodyne, or auto-tuning, etc to make onesvoice sound better, improved, or correct faulty notes is NOT accepted. Let's say I sing "Born this way" from Lady Gaga. I record the whole song, but some notes are flat. I use melodyne to correct them. Then the mix sounds flawless. That is NOT accepted in this competition, because I see it as cheating. While in the music industry it is used ALL the time, I feel that we are FAR from being consider pro, so I don't find it fair for people to use those programs in an amateur singing competition as Gendou Idol. I hope that clarify things :D |

@minchan I'm sure you'll find a good song for round two. ;) @pame, @Dangel, guess I need to clarify what I meant. I didn't mean using auto-tune to correct pitches. That is cheating for sure. But what I meant is, say you have a song where the harmony is an even interval for all of the song (or part of it) like a 4th or octave. Would it be "cheating" to use auto-tune to modify the original main vocal track (the whole chunk mistakes and all, not individual pitches) up or down the interval to create a harmony track? |

Sakura: Umm, I see. I would personally prefer to have all harmonies done naturally. Let me ask the rest of the judges. |

Fome: On the top tabs where you see Home-Admin-Forum-Music, etc...you'll see one that says radio. When the radio show is on, it will be cyan as the others, all you have to do is click it. In case you are not on the Gendou site, then you can access it through the link I posted some days ago. Bluey: Thanks for your patience. The radio show is TODAY. Thanks |

The tab won't be there until radio starts. When radio is not on the tab is not there and when it is on the tab appears and you can see who the DJ is, whats playing and how many listeners there are. As for being informed of the time change it was posted in the gendou idol radio thread so check both threads.
