P.O.V. - Point of View. I see.... reviving the dead. That sock picture should go on "What's weird about u" for a good laugh at(or for) the person who ate socks. :P |

Im sure this person would appreciate the new flavor. Cotton and polyester has to get pretty balnd after a while. Jomunga, I will not be out done! Funny quotes! Yes they're real. "In the drive to end polio, a plague of doubt and exhaustion" Joan Rivers - "I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw that my bath toys were a toaster and a radio." |

I think suicide is the coward's way out of life. At the very least, if a situation is impossible, its more honorable to die trying if you get my drift. I got a good quote... My friend Kyle: "I didn't lose my mind, I sold it on Ebay." |

I just got back from seeing V for Vendetta. Absolutely Amazing! It made my weekend, how enchanting! A quote from it: Bad guys:"We have guns, all you have are knives and your fancy karate techniques." V: "No, what you have are bullets...and the hope that once you're done firing, I won't be standing. Because if I am, I'll kill each of you before you get the chance to reload" It was very cool, now I have a 4 page paper to sweat about, bye for now! |

Suiscide accomplishes nothing. I'd much rather sit around and sulk. Which is what I'm doing now. I can never speak my mind, it kills me. Gods do I want to see V for Vendetta.
This requires a unique combination of
psychology...and extreme violence.

Re: The Depression Thread V3

Watch out doctor, the more you sulk, the more likely you are to sucumb to depression. Your mind is your enemy, that's the truth. To be more percise I suppose I could say it is your chemicals and your emotions that are the enemy. Stupid feelings. |

Doctor - Agreed. But perhaps what you need is somebody to poke around in that mind of yours. I'm rather known for helping people find whatever it is that's inside of them, I've made many friends that way. Probably has to do with the method I use, which is Socratic (Those of you unfamiliar with Socratic Method, it's basically using a series of questions to have the other party reach a conclusion on their own, named from the philosopher Socrates, who used such a method in discussions). It fits rather well with my obsession with riddles and puzzles, as in there, too, I make sure that the recipient of such puzzles and riddles always finds the answer on their own. Look me up on a messenger, and we might have some intersting conversations. Kotuso - Both the mind and the soul are enemies of each other. Deny one or the other, and you end up damning both. The soul can be controled by the mind, and the mind can be controled by the soul. Controlling the soul is done through will, controlling the mind is done through submission. You can't do both at the same time, yet doing both is necessary to maintain balance. Humans are a riddle to which there is no answer, the ultimate paradox. |

emmys ok....thank God i have lots of work to do...talk when im not busy.... |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

@Daedalus,Don't forget that Socrates was k illed by the greeks because of his method.^_^ I know what you are talking about, the paradox and all, however there is a solution. Identity achievement is when you feel completed, even if everyone else doesn't feel that way. You can control both your soul(if you believe there is such a thing) and your mind if they are one. |

Kotuso - All the more reason to use the method. Humans are famous for killing people that are a cut above. There have been people who made advancements in mathematics, philosophy, religion, or just basically challenged the status quo who have 'disappeared'. :D Ja, there's a solution. You speak of equilibrium, total balance. The method in which to achieve it, however, is the riddle. I probably am ultimately looking for somebody who can answer my riddles, especially the ones to which I can't find the answer. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

If there is not one answer, than there is many an answer. You can be influenced, tutored, and taught by people on how to answer this paradoxes, but I believe that there is more than one answer, and an endless combination of several different answers. |

quite, quite, but my question is:"Why do people think that one answer is better than the others?" |

OH! Hmm. You mean one way of life should be better for somebody else? Like somebody imposing their answers on somebody? That's because people are stupid by nature. You may notice by this point I have a slight streak of misanthropy. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

If i'm not overstepping, might i ask why? To be honest,i'm a little Nihilistic as well. |

Not overstepping under any circumstances. I just think people, like me, are stupid by nature, and scoff at anybody who claims with pride to be the dominant species of the earth. Had to look up Nihilstic (for some reason, looking up Nihilist brought up nothing, while bringin up Nihilistic brought up Nihilist *shrugs* wikipedia is the ultimate brain food). I'm a chaotist, and I'm all about challenging everything, from all forms of authority, to status quo, to establishments. It seems Nihilist is very similar, but quite different from misanthropy, at least my strain of it. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

on the topic of authority,I wonder how they came up with it,I mean there isn't really such thing as right and wrong, right? |

Well... yeah, there really is. Something that would bring needless harm to somebody else (harm meaning any kind, physical, emotional, financial, etc.) is wrong. I'm a thief and a liar, and I admit that. I watch free anime and download OSTs without permission, among other things. As for challenging authority, I do it for a different reason. I challenge authority to test their worth as leaders, I also think they need to be constantly tested. Total rule would be hell if it wasn't done perfectly, and anarchy couldn't be done perfectly, because, as stated above, people are stupid. This is deviation. |

Daedalus, there's the "Stump dirtyninja" thread for you're riddle fix(I'm not being nihilistic, that's actualy the threaad name). I belive my web quest is still avalible if you want a nice hard challange. To preface what I'm about to say I will state a simple fact: 300,000 children wll atempt to dig to China this yaer, 7% of those children will hit a gas line. What I'm tring to say is that we all set impossible goals for ourselves. To us however, they are not impossible, they just require a little work. Unfortuanatly we also have the unfortunate fate of hitting the proverbial gas line of bad luck. The human mind is a wonderful instrument of inaccurcy. The brain rarely, if ever, takes in a whole thought of idea. We always break it down into samller and smaller chunks, until we have stripped all meaning from what you just recived. If you can master the input you can also master the output. In order to compleatly controll oneslef you must be able to understand what it is that affects you. The reason we have problems with understanding our minds is that we don't know how or wht causes us to do the things we do. If you, me or anyone else, were to fully define sensory inpus on the brain then mabey we would be able to grasp what it is that the brain is capable of, or what it truly does for that matter. Nighmare, glad to hear she's ok after what happened. Loss is tough, but to lose without support is hell. Glad to she that she has friends like you to help her up. Here's some funny pics |
