A question. Can more slots be opened or can the people who want to enter but were too late get the slot of someone who's disqualified? I'm asking this because there certainly are people who have worked really hard on their cover, but couldn't finish in time and are now disappointed because all slots are taken already.  |

Huh... quick question. Sign-ups are already full, and under the "status" section, for some users it reads "pending" and for others it reads "active". What exactly does this mean? I'm paranoid that I might've done something wrong while signing up D:

"Pending" means none of the judges have listened to your song yet, to make sure it complies with the rules. "Active" means one of the judges has reviewed the entry. You will be able to edit your entries until the sign up deadline. All the pending contestants will be reviewed today by me and Pamela, and disqualified contestant slots will become available, so keep checking in. In addition, I may convince Pamela to increase the maximum number of contestants...

About us being able to change the entries before a judge listens to it, so we can change our links from say, 4shared to youtube? |

Pamela, you should be able to edit even once Active. If you do, it will be set back to Pending for review.

I have a week off of work after tomorrow so if you guys need help with anything then I volunteer. I'm probably going to start listening to entries after work. I see alot of songs I like being sang.

Irish: If you had wanted to sign up as a group, then you could have. But unfortunately sign ups are now closed. The 160 slots have been filled. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO AUDITIONED FOR THIS SEASON 6! I'm surprised as how quick it happened! Only 3 days!!! I was giving it at least 5 or a week... The original 150 slots filled out even faster! In only 2 days, so I had to add 10 more slots! SO...thank you, for making Gendou Idol a successful competition! Judging will begin on the 25th, so GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! So far, I've heard awesome entries, and I'm very excited! Also, I've heard the improvement of contestants who signed up last season, and well I'm happily surprised at how much many have improved! I hope my constructive criticism/tips helped! Anyway...I wanted to introduce a new judge :) KIKO: He is a musician/composer member of the band MAKENAI (Winner of AX Battle of the Bands). He's been playing the piano since he was 4 and is very knowledgeable in the arts of music! So, I suggest you take his advice! |

Listened to a few of the songs and I must say there is stiff competition this year. I think I already may have some favorites because they sang songs I love so well but I won't say who of course lol. Good luck to all

How many contestants will get into the next round and what will the judging be like? A certain number selected by judges and a certain number by votes? *sorry if this was already answered somewhere else* xDD |

Originally it was 20, but I changed it to 25. It will be a balance between the votes and the judges scores. You can see the formula on the first page. It is pretty fair. :) |
