@riyu ashley: Yeah, But i didnt even get a notification. I think it would only be fair that SOMEONE contact us and tell us that there was a new system. Well, this is the 2nd time i've been screwed over by this contest, so i'm done. It's obviously not meant to be.

Pame already posted in this thread that there is a new sign up system for Gendou Idol. Also, once you click the Gendou idol link on the front page you will be redirected to the new sign up system.

I think that this is a difficult situation, but please don't get upset with Pame. I know that had she known that the new system would be implemented, she would not have started sign ups through the forum. She is not that kind of person and is trying her best to do what she can. She PMed people to let them know what was going on, and tried her best by opening up spots. It would be unfair to expect her to coordinate with everyone's schedules so that they would be assured to get a spot. I understand your frustration, but I want you to know that Pame tried her best to accommodate everyone. I understand her decision to not open up anymore spots as well. With so many people eager to sign up, the chances of the people taking those spots not being those that they are intended for is very high. Pame, Gendou, Josh, and Hitomi-chan are going to have an enormous number of entries to sort through and judge. To expect them to take on anymore contestants is unfair. This competition is over twice the size of any of the previous competitions, and the judges will be giving up a lot of their own time to do this for us. I understand everyone's frustration, I really do, as I had some trouble entering the competition as well. I would recommend in the future that if you're really having an issue, to get directly into contact with Pame instead of posting in this thread. She is prompt and always does her best to help. I hope we can all let this go to rest. It's not fun and it's upsetting, but it's really not worth complaining about and it isn't fair to the judges for you to complain about something that really isn't in their control. |

I'm sorry you feel that way Saigo. When I opened sign ups here, the Gendou Idol competition wasn't a part of the web page yet, so all the updates and news would be post in the thread...as a contestant, you were supposed to make sure to check all news and regulations posted in the thread to make sure everything was going smoothly. I posted several notifications here letting everyone know about the change in the system. Sorry you couldn't get in on time. Next time, I'll make sure to send you a PM notifying you of any changes, that's if you decide to participate again. The new system will not create problems such as these. Anyway... Entries will be posted tomorrow for the Death Match :D |

| So, I was wondering, with the new voting system, is there any block set up to keep people from creating multiple accounts and voting for themselves? I know with the old system there was a minimum forum post number, so is there anything for this one to keep people from cheating? |

Creating multiple accounts will result in being banned. Cheaters won't win even if they try. As for the 20 points each, supposed you should only give it to few contestants you want to win. Giving 20 to just one means perfect score in my opinion, but I gave 4 contestants 5 points each. Some that received 3 digits already, I think they deserve it. If you have any complains and such just post it here. Judges should be reviewing all the votes later on and see who cheats and what not. PS: For those who's blaming pame or thinking she's at fault for not sending you notification about the new GI system, well its your fault for not reading the Home Page. |

I agree with you. Some members may like to vote to multiple contestants. That 20 voting points will give them the chance to do it. If any contestant got the whole 20 votes well consider her/himself lucky. But creating fake accounts to win, that's a big no no. Just my two cents :) @neko I listened to your song and there are some loose notes but your overall singing is OK. :)

ANYONE voting with multiple accounts WILL be caught, banned, dipped in chocolate, eaten, shat out, only to be eaten again, then vomited up, and raped. No joke. You may spread your 20 points as you please! If you want to vote for yourself, go for it.

To Judge Gendou: Is it confirmed that the 20 votes can be used to vote ourselves? hmm... if that's true, it is quite not right I think, because the voting will be biased then. One more question, will the result depends heavily on the voting system? I am new here and couldn't find special discussion of information regarding GENDOU IDOL specific rules. Thank you very much. Oh! I was just going to use my 20 votes to vote but a message window appeared telling me that I must be level 4 or higher to vote! What's that mean???? |

Rules changed. In order to vote, you must be level 4, which means you must interact in the forums, or in the chat, donate or do something in the website to increase your level. You can read all of that in the FAQ ^-^ |

So after my sister, pretty much "forced" me to come and listen to the entries of Gendou Idol, I must say that I am rather pleased. I've heard a lot of good singers, so I voted. Hopefully, my favorites move on. So, Sis, congratulations on organizing such a cool contest. And congratulations to all of the contestants. Especially Eeriechan which I really liked and Beibi. At last.. my PC is finally working again! ^__^ Yay! I made it to Round 2! ^^ Thank you to all who voted for me and appreciated my singing ^^ I'm also happy that my fellow contestants that I voted for all made it to round 2! You all deserved it! Good luck to all of us. ^^ Let's give it our best and give the judges wonderful time listening to our songs and an awful time of choosing who'll get to the finals. Lol ^^v |

Congratulations to the semifinals! But I have to congratulate to They that couldn't get enough votes to pass, and I really like their performance. They are: - MaiNoHana - Ciel - Deena - riyu-ashley - Kae - Maximum - holichan - Emi - Rika Nagy - minori There were a lot of good singers in this season! Fortunately I didn't participate :P About the DEATH MATCH, is really good! But I have preference for Eeriechan and Hitomi, for now. Good day :D

I give mad props to Pame for following up on this and trying to get people to join. She sent me a couple of PMs, through Gendou and my account on 4shared, and I can only say that I thought I'd take a break this time and just vote for whoever I thought should have advanced. Once again, Pame, you rock my world. |
