Yo CLANNAD is out.

Can anyone tell me what it's all about?
Is there already a subber?

Yeah, there are. First episode's already subbed... and i'd say it's quite good, as expected. And as of what's it all about - i only watched first episode, so i don't really know yet :) Man, i wanted to say the same phrase, that it's out, but my post was the last one :(

Use 'SS & Eclipse', they're also subbing the new Shakugan no Shana II series, too. A very, very good subgroup!

I saw the first episode on Saturday night. It was great, loved it. ^_~`

Okies, thanks.

I just downloaded it but didn't watch it yet.

I found this a while ago and it looks really cool. ^^

especially at the end....

Yeah, that happened in episode one.
The entire thing was actually faster, after you saw it in the other angel (Tomoya's view).
Wow, their names can easily be mixed up.

Man, makes you think why Japanese anime HS skirts are short for a good reason, one being from that .gif as an example. XD
When I first saw it though, my eyes were like wide opened.
I mean the first guy that got kicked was like flying slo-mo in the air above her!

Well, if you want something similar - watch Tsuyokiss :) Otome there beats everyone :) But i guess i'll make animation picture of that weak guy being kicked around :)

lol, yeah I have all the episodes for Tsuyokiss CoolxSweet or so, on my computer already.
I forget to watch it, gotta check it out later this week. ^_~`

Yeah, you should - it's good... i watched it all, but i had weird format, that wasn't readable on dvd player or my pmp, so i'm downloading and rewatching it again :) But come to think of it, the anime itself is good, but character introduction in first episode was kinda crappy... :)

Watched Tsuyokiss recently. It was okay lol

Yeah, all my episodes aren't subbed by the same group. I just noticed that by checking just now!
Ugh, a few have "Your Mom" subs. -.-`

Heh, i have some animes, where subbers change constantly. Like in scryed and erementar gerad there are four different subbers present :D Anyway, i don't really like "your mom", since their encoding is kinda weird :) I think Eclipse and Shinsen Subs are best subber groups :) Well, c1 isn't bad either :)

Just "Your Mom" includes notes that should be 'real, 'helpful' notes.
Instead, they're something like "wtf is this?", literally.
They play around too much, although they have the text at the bottom at least... (:\
I only had one source with all the episodes, so it was whatever.

I'm using Eclipse and Shinsen for a few new ones as well. Koi, Ayu, a.f.k., etc. are nice. :3

Yeah, a4e's not bad also, but it always produces mkv, that i don't really like :) Oh, btw, you're right, a.f.k.'s good too :) Man, can't remember them all :)

Yeah, talking about subgroups is not really common (from my perspective), yet I give them a TON of credit!
I'm not all about the flashyness and whatnot, but hey, you gotta love what they take time (a lot of time) to make.
Ayu has some .mkv anime releases for an anime like, Umishou for instance (still need to see the final two episodes).
When I open them (double clicking), they just open in Zoom and plays.
But yeah, overall I just stick with .avi, whatever.

There are a few news one in the making. Some flashy ones that we see a lot with good balanced subs or great subs.
Then there's those who are really basic, simple techniques, yet you understand everything ('notes' might be included as well).
Just think of that group being similar to m.3.3.w. who did the School Days episodes pretty fast.
I've seen 'em around a lot, and they're beginning to sub a few titles now.
Basic subs, plain, okay I guess, etc. I haven't dLed 'Myself; yourself' yet since the only group so far I've seen sub them are m.3.3.w., not that m.3.3.w. is a bad group.

I'm still waiting until more episodes get released, and I have a few for ddL, so it's all good.
Those that are coming out now, it'll take a few more days but my sources updated daily it seems (good for me).

Well, yeah... subgroups are important... since we kinda depend on them :) Oh, by the way, anyone watched Lovely Idol? And can it be considered a romance? :)

I like .mkv . I don't see any disadvantages using Matroska.
It's still very new, but I think it'll be standard in a few years.
It's smaller than avi at the same quality, so when you have lots of videos it'll be better to use mkv.

Look here for fansub awards.
(Lunar should update their site -.-)

Sigh,

*Side topic*

MKV is NOT a codec. MKV is simply a container like AVI, MP4 and etc. Notice MP4 can have a XVID codec required while some do not. MKV can have any kind a video like the new H.264 or X.264 (which is used most often). MP4 also uses x/h.264.

What is needed is called a Splitter. Notice they didn't say MKV needed a codec. It's a Splitter. Basically it splits the streams into different parts:

Video
Sound
Subtitles

OGG is the same as MKV. Notice when you run a MKV file, a plug-in is run and shown on the bottom right of your taskbar. Right click it and you'll see many options like which subtitles you want to see, videos (I've known some MKVs have 2 videos in ONE MKV file), and sound (in AAC, AC3, MP3 and others) (also in different languages).

You really cannot say MKV is the best. MKV can have DIVX/XVID as the video stream and be worse in quality. Including whether or not it uses AC3/AAC/MP3 sound files.
MP4s are the same.

What are codecs?
XVID/DIVX
X/H.264/3/2/1 (AVC)
FLAC
MP3
AAC
MP4V
etc etc etc

I hope somebody learned something here ^.^
Otherwise, Imma get angry! MUAAAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahahhaHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *cough cough*

*End of Side Topic*

------------------------------
SS and Eclipse are great subbers
Lunar is slow T.T
Your Mom is funny at times, but sometimes annoying
m.3.3.w. is... new but getting active
blah

Actually i knew it already :) But the reason i don't like mkvs, because it isn't supported by my dvd player :D And it's hard to convert :)
