I agree with Ling-Chan whole-heartedly. I listen to japanese music and I love it yet others think it's weird. I say that it's an explosion waiting to happen. If you just get a person to like one song, they'll be hungry for more. I actually got my mom to like jmusic and my best friend, his sister, and his cousin like it too. All my friends at school like it. And when iTunes opened up in japan, they reached 1 million songs sold in just two days. It took a week, almost two for that to happen here. So if you ask me jmusic and all things Japanese are breaking their way into our culture as we speak. Soon those who call us weird will be the lames. JOIN THE MOVEMENT. VIA LA REVOLUTION!

| it depends on the person who understands that youre a fan, whether you like it or not, some say anime are good, some also boring. well im like that, but it doesnt matter to me at all. |

People look down at me because I listen to anime music..its more of being "not Normal" to others..people think I should be listening to american music not japanese..people are stupid sometimes..and they think nothing more then anime freaks are geeks..and alot of my friends do anime expressions, or throw around random Japanese words..but the think is most of the people that make fun of use are going no where in life and will be surving the otakus french fries in the future..hee geeks rule the world..

| Well I'm Japanese...and Japanese don't really like showing that they are into anime....kinda embarrased to admit it...Like we dont like to be called an otaku... because some people do think anime people are weird like the people at conventions...but.. |

Well, I don't know how your friend is, but if he is anything like me, I can see it.
It's very judgemental, and it sucks...but to be honest, if they don't give your friend a chance because of what he likes...then they probably aren't some one he would want to be friends with...know what I mean? I honestly don't like hanging around with folks who insult some one the first time they meet, or are rude without reason. Kind of long...hope you didn't get tired reading it!
Where do those mallets come from anyways?

Tell me, any one please answer my question. Why do some people look down on otaku...why do they say that all anime fanatics are jerk. Cause you know, someone told me that my friend is a freek,an allien or something like that. because he is an anime fan. Heis actually a nice person but why do people say that he is a jerk? please answer my question...............
