There are 3 TGV's cinemas -KLCC, Sunway Pyramid and Tebrau City -(redberrie will be happy to hear tis ^_^)already screened the Death Note before the premier.
But only one show perday before Nov, 9 (midnite show).
On the Nov,9, the rest of TGV's cinemas will screen the movie.

I agree with whoever that says anime shoudn't be dubbed into BM. I think the voice actors in Malaysia aren't as good as it's in Japan or any other country. On top of that, it makes the animes sound cheesy. For instance, YuGiOh, Inuyasha, Fruit Basket, Shaman King and many more. But luckily now that I have animax on Astro, all these don't become a problem.

Before i learned about anime, I ve always watch them as if they were cartoons on the Malaysian tv channels (dubed of course). Then, one day after learning the meaning of anime, i ve started to dislike anime which are dubed cause they some how sounded super bad. The originality was killed and the fun droped like hell. Since then till now, i ve only watch anime in jap with English subs.
Plz dont get me wrong, i m not sayin i ve anything against using other languages or anything like that as dubed anime is of course to cater for those who preffer dubs or to promote the national language. Its juz that, if u wanna dub it, at least use professional seiyus(voice actors).
Well the best way to solve this problem is juz to use the original language(japanese) and provide subtitles in the chosen language to preserve the originality of the anime.

@animegurl90
The problem with Malaysian seiyu (voice actor) is lack of feel. -kurang penghayatan- . The seiyu here is very serious when they do their job just like acting in real world. And the studio is totally different too.

I think the Malaysians seiyuu are lack of experiences. The animes only become popular in Malaysia around 4 or 5 years ago ( I guess ^_^). Before tis, we only watched animes (such as Doreamon)and only a few of them, so our local seiyuu couldn't learnt a lot on how to become a good seiyuu ( in term of "getting into the characters" experience). Maybe we should wait for awhile to know whether they will getting better or worst.
Like in English dubbed, I think the English dubbed still worse eventho it's widely use in most of the countries (juz watch animax with english's dubbed -- hate is so much!!). But, I still believe dat no matter how good the seiyuus (I mean gaijin seiyuus - English, Malay, Chinese, etc) are, the Japanese version still the best!!

Note: Last Sunday, I'd watched a new anime on NTV7 which replace the Fruit Basket (but I cannot remember the title). The dubbed of dat anime totally the worst one I ever heard. Only able to watch it around 10 mins, then I'd turned off the tv. It totally sucks!!!

Hello all ^^ IM new here and Im a Malaysian..
Honestly, I dont watch those anime on TV3 or whatsoever ~
Its because its converted into BM. If english its still acceptable,
but not BM. Can u imagine the Doraemon sound that got converted to BM?
Its awful ~ Anime should preserve the Japanese language as Its where it come from !!
Im currently watching Animax on Astro ~ Its great !!

All programme should be as the original. Even english drama/filem that converted to Japanese also sound awful.

But about doraemon and Chibi maruko chan, better in BM. Kalau ori, suara doraemon garau sangat, sama ngan maruko.

blah. i'm malaysian but i live in UK so i go to malaysia once in every year and i found that they do have loads of anime like naruto and rurounin kenshin(mind the spelling) and some other animes. but i got really pissed off because the animes are dubbed in malay and the voice actors are soooo bad(like the voice actors in sang wira) blah they make the anime boring-.-

all new comers WELCOME,irrashai-masen ^^,
seems like everytime new comers came theyre in group flooding the thread with sentence "im new here"^^

-i agree with orcaz, malaysian seiyuu "kurang penghayatan",
-not just with anime this also happen to malay translated manga, sometime the translation totally out that i wonder are they fans or not?
-hmm not all dubbed anime totally sucks,i found out malay translated cardcaptor sakura and the slayers kinda acceptable and english ver of evengelion;voice of rei really fit her personality.
-still original seiyuu is the best, giving their all even their income not really high.............
