(I'll reply, then start the new thread)

If you want an opinion on Operation Flashpoint, I'll tell you about the first one.
Although I never actually played it physically, my friend in college did and I was there most of the time watching.
Let me tell you, it's probably the most complicated, realistic shooter out there.
It's insanely difficult because of the level of reality it takes on.
It's nothing like COD or KZ at all, it's as simple as "real".
Real situations, real missions, and at times some are like impossible.

I remember one mission my friend had to do, was run through this open field while the enemy shot mortar strikes at you.
There were a lot of other hard missions, too, many to explain now.
I'm sure you can youtube some. For people who are stealthy, patient, and careful, it might be okay.

The AI's not idiots that'll just stand there waiting for you to kill them, they're smart as well.
It's a really interesting game though, but it's definitely a step up in challenge compared to our modern day collection of war games.
If your friend is good at shooter games in general, it might be better with co-op.

On another note, anyone see the game "CATHERINE"? It strangely looks fun, yet weird. And it's from Atlus coming to NA.
I've been dying for the release date to release for the Team Ico bundle, but after beating that I'll be bored again probably.
Portal 2, possible to get, but I'm definitely getting Battlefield 3 later in the year and AC3.
For the mean time there aren't any other games I'm interested in as of now. Still looking...

P.S. Here's the follow up thread here. Someone can sticky it later.
