My first time at Otakon 2009, I saw a lot of gothic lolita cosplay, it was AWESOME, I just wish I could dress up too, but I don't think I'm good enough :( I absolutely love the fashion, frills and lace!! x3 I even like to draw designs for them, but they never come out good. AND I did go to the Gothic Lolita Fashion Show they had at Otakon, it was amazing to see that many different types of dresses, I respect the fashion to the utmost!!

I have a gothic lolita dress!!!!!! It's lovely with all those lace and frills. I had a hard/sweaty time ironing the dress. xp  |

I love Lolita, I've been one for two years now and hardly anyone else in my town knows what it is except for fellow Otakus. (I'm from New Zealand BTW,) I wore it even around town, I don't really care if people laugh or stare, because if you always care about what other people think of you you'll never be yourself ;3 Lolita is a fashion not a Cosplay just because many Anime characters wear it, and it's got nothing to do with the novel also called 'Lolita', it's simply a fashion that started in Osaka in the 80's that imitates the look of a Victorian doll and inspired by the French Rococo period but has now gone world-wide as many other Japanese Fashions have now....^^ I like Classic and Sweet styles but mostly Classic^^
