Hrm... I'm not in AxS but I think I have an idea for contest. I don't know if the idea's been used yet. Maybe have a contest that settles around nature. Characters at the beach, with wildlife, in the mountains training. Things like that. Something that could show nature's sereneness, or brutality. Something Like that.

ATTENTION TO ALL MEMBERS its me iCh again of AxS previous handler of this thread. Seems like Ashley is not here again, but correct me if im wrong. Just want to inform you guys that this thread will soon end and I think its a good time for the selection of the new handler of this thread. I will not recommend anyone, you can make your own event to choose or one can just take it if they have alloted time for this thread. @inx: the nature idea is the first thing that popped into my head. I'm not that good at organizing events, i can barely keep myself organized as is, but I would be glad to co-host an event/contest with you. With the thread ending soon we'd need to think about it quick. @iCh: you've done a great job with AxS, and you're line art is superb! I just want to say well done! [EDIT] I am willing to be this thread's holder next. But with school starting up soon i wnt have much time during school. Inx and I will be organizing the contest. Inx will still be participating. She's just helping me organize things until the contest gets started. The theme for this contest will be a Nature theme. Try to get the characters in nature. There will be a claim system, so please post5 your claim in the thread. this is my first time running something like this, so i hope i do a good job. Can't wait to see the works of everyone! Time to make a bit of noise. @Kira Can I know the character of the lineart that you have received? And btw nice set although the render doesn't blend in much into the BG. @Inx Regarding the contest, I also agree about the voting system. Just post up some themes and let the fellas decide. Yeah, I don't have good ideas about themes though. Mechas on the set? xPP About nature themes, another experimental stuff sets that can be done like the music themes. @Haseo I like your avys though, clean and small xD   |

@all: ok, ok guys i get your point, you can stop shooting me down XD and do actual members have to be skilled in photoshop? cause i'd be willing to join as a member who uses paint :D @emiya: thanks. it means a lot coming from someone as good as yourself. I just like to find small pics so its easier to use 25px. And cause I don't like to re-seize in paint because the pic gets blurry... A LOT @all again: do i get to vote on who the next holder is? and do i still get to run the contest? ._.

[ Haseo ] Yeah I think you can vote since its an open club, and you can still hold a contest. [ All ] FYI Contest holder is a separate job then a volunteer contest holder. So yeah an person who knows CCS and has some standard photoshop skills will work out. But the question is, who shall be the people be chosen? currently CLOSED. @inx: ok i was a little worried there for a second. I just have no idea what the prize would be. I was never good at organizing stuffs like this. Also inx, for the people to be chosen, some members have already said this but, people with the most experience would be up for nomination, then we could vote for people that way. @all: i have a suggestion to the club. Not a lot of people use paint to make avatars, in fact the only people i think of are me and gmeis. But do you think that the club could have a photoshop AND Microsoft Paint division seperately, but in the same thread? A seperate thread could be made if not. AxS isn't really popular with the people who use MSP, but the people who do use MSp could have their little own seperate division and contests? It's only a suggestion, I just feel that not all the avatar makers aren't getting an even shot at the contests. Cause really, who would win, someone who's amazing at photoshop, or someone amazing at paint?

Excuse my intruding, but I wanna make few comments since I check this thread often about events and such. So do you guys really need a leader for the club? I don't think that's neccessary right? As for this being an open club. But if really needed it should be someone who's been here longer and always organizing events and help out on here. So atleast that'll be fair. Voting system should work, but really not neccessary since if I were to pick I'll be picking for a senior member. And as for the event I just think that whoever organizing the contest should be the one incharge of stuff needed for the contest. It can be 2 people incharge of one contest, that shouldn't be a problem. Leader of the club is basically just someone who's really good at graphic and active one. So did anyone claim the next contest yet? If not I might give it a try. --- Haseo: The reason why there's contest here is for people to test their skills and compete right? I don't see the point of having a separate contest just for Paint. Because some people can't use photoshop. What's the purpose of the contest if you'll just separated and pick skills based on the program you're using? You can always get photoshop for yourself and try to learn how to use it. And hence there's a lot more program to make graphic not just photoshop or paints, so I don't think you should be judging one skills based on program you're using. |

Oh, ok Miko i see. I've been trying to get photoshop for a while now, but I have a bad connection, so the downloads either don't start, or they freeze and won't continue. So I've been trying to get a compressed version that I can just unzip, but I'm not having much luck with that.

Taking that off, I totally Agree with Miko. -No need for a Leader. But if you guys insist, please a voting and a guy that knows what the tread needs. After all this tread is for all of us. @dfly: I pretty much already have the contest details, Ill post what I have now. It is almost Fall, and summer is almost over. People have begun to notice changes in the weather, and in nature itself. This contest will be based off that. Each participant will be asked to make a banner and icon. The banner and icon both need to show something about nature. Either that harshness of nature, or the calmness of nature. The character will need to be doing some activity in nature, weather it's training, medatating, reading, etc. The contest will work with a claim system. Any season is applicable to this contest, so go ahead if you want. And also, i forgot to mention, you may use the beach as a theme for your set, but I don't want everyone using a beach. I wan't the entrants to be spread out over the 4 seasons, so we can both, marvel at each creators individuality and skill in their area. I'mnot sure if there will be a prize yet, but I hope many of you will join even though there isn't. I encourage you all to join. This is my first contest so I hope it runs smoothly.
