Okay, it's pretty simple: - first go to your control panel - click on performance maintenance - click on adjust visual effects - scroll to the very bottom - make sure you're using the drop shadow (have it checked out) - you can have this folder on top of your desktop near your icons, so when you click on it, it should preview it for you - click okay or whatever and it should be fixed [@DF] Wow, that's pretty nice. [@Kay] lol, omg you've squinted it so much so the effect of their hotness is split. XD I can't wait to order my Macbook and set up some stuff when it arrives. ^_~`

@DA: thanks... but... we don't have that performance maintenance in our control panel... we're using Xp professional service pack 2 if that's the reason why there's no performance maintenance... |

Hmm, are you using classic view or category view? It'll be right there if you're using category view.

[@Xero] Yep, no problem. ^_~` [@Kay] The full scan of the background? lol, it WOULD be pretty massive. Those are for those really big monitors that are like, TVs basically, haha. I'm guessing you use an iMac (desktop), cause even on the Macbook Pro's 19inch, it'd be too big, right?

@D.A, well, it is from a poster. As for my desktop, it's a simple illusion^^. I modded my Vista to look just like a Mac (log-in screen and all :p), but both the monitors are 19 inch. The main one is simply taller than the secondary monitor. I still have no idea how to put the "Menus" option next to the start button though, I've seen people done it but no idea how to myself...it's easier to do so in my Linux machine >.>. Anyways, the image itself is 3800 x 2681... uh...2 more screens? |

[@Kay] How'd you scan such a thing with a scanner? Parts separately then added them together? Oh, I always thought you used a Mac (from like a year ago or so). I swear you said it in the forums somewhere, guess my mistake. I think I know what you mean about the menus next to the start button. Hmm, probably another pair of monitors. XD Instead of squeezing everything so it fits, have you ever tried squeezing it (width AND height) together? The height would remain the same, but the width would be squeezed in tremendously. If you're using a 19" monitor, then would two 1440 (width) work? In this case your final size would be 2880 x 900, right? But then there's that second monitor, which is shorter physically, right, so the resolution is the same still? Once I order my Macbook, not sure when I'll get it (since I'm ordering it online), I'll have to use it without internet (because I only have DSL at home, and I use a Wireless and my sister has the modem), so another network even though I'll be using two, would only make it slower. I'll wait 'til college to use the faster connection cause it's basically like cable anyways. ;P But yeah, I'll have to switch over files and whatnot, with a flash drive which shouldn't be an issue. I need to start using it again anyways.

@D.A, that I hafta ask a friend of mine, he was the one who helped me scanned it. I tried it but it seemed that the goddess of arts loves him more than me...(i tried parts by parts and used photoshop, made the image looked...) I think it was misunderstood cause I remember saying I used a Vista modded to OSX...it should be either in this thread or the first one. Well, both monitor is 19 inch, but one is 1440 x 900 while the other is 1360 x 768. Most probably because the 2nd one was intended to be 'widescreen'. As for now, I don't really mind since I'll just make do with what I have. Better be thankful what I have now than not having any. I wanna buy the macbook soon~~ but with bills to pay and have to search for a new job till the end of September, it'll be a long wait... |

[@Kay] You could do that with Photoshop, but to get it perfect, your parts would have to be flat. I scanned a caricature of mine onto my computer, and it was kind of complicated at first though it was only two parts. Yeah, I'd say that's one bad thing with duel monitoring I suppose. Is the second monitor created to be widescreen or can you adjust that even? I bought my Macbook, can't wait for it to come so I can get the basics down with it and whatnot. I won't hook up the internet to it, cause my sister has DSL at home and I use wireless, so if someone uses the same connection, I think it'll slow down the internet for everyone, right? I'm going to wait until I'm dormed in college so I can hook up the cable, then dL programs on it like Firefox or AIM for example, but yeah I'll mostly be switching files via flashdrive with my PC. Yeah, you must be pretty busy. I have no clue what your life outside of Gendou.com is. Good luck though. I wanted to get mines sooner, but I just waited for some reason, but I got it with the iTouch deal. But I bought my Macbook on the apple store, and wow did they charge a huge tax fee. -________-" G/L with that background though, though I can barely stand another squinted background that looks appealing, lol.

That's hawt. I got my Macbook yesterday, so I'm just figuring out the basics of it before I change it up. I want to mod it up, too, but for now I'm just going to find a background for it. I'll have to transfer it via my flash drive, and I wanted to use my Dango icons from my PC, but since the apps aren't regular folders, I might just get them their own icons (like AIM, Safari [Firefox]), Garageband, etc.).
