bah...some drugs are just made for "diseases" so that they get more money... whats next?? "You sir have gendouitis." gendouwhatiss? "gendouitis...were u visit gendou.com everyday and constantly post, refresh a page so u can see who has responded to one of your posts, browse almost all day through the seemingly endless threads. so to compinsate...take this medication in the morning for 2 weeks. it should help." some side effects include but arent limited to: |

Ou god! I think I've contracted it! I feel an uncanny urge to post in gendou. And another urge to dance and get my groove on. Disco fever kills 91.2 people every year. |

well back from Canada, tierd bored, and otherwise depressed at a few things. Nothing too major though. 91.2 people, are these .2 people the same .2 people that the average family has. How much of a person is .2, a leg, maybe a head and shoulders... At one point you could've said I had gendouitis, not so much anymore. It's more of a recurring event, about once a night. I've never actually taken medication for depression, they almost perscribed somew but said that I didn't need it. That and at the time there was a reduction in the number of perscriptions that they could write. Happy birthday depression thread, may you continue to prosper on this forum for all to see it's great mastery. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

nightmare, i have taken med for depression. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3
|
i only post on this thread now...its the only one i really have time for...oh well that interesting...i have alwayse heard that there were medications to combat depressionl, but i was wondering if any of them really work. gendou seems to be my anti-depressent...and anime too! |
Re: The Depression Thread V3
|
honestly, i wouldnt really know if they really work, what i mean is that not everyone responds the same to the meds, and quite frankly they dont "cure" its more like getting high and not worring about anything (depending on the doseage you are given). in my case, they had no effect on me, my mood was always the same, so i saw it as a waste of money. i quite going to the pshycologist and taking my meds, and i turn out just fine *twiches* lol. but i dont recomend doing what i did. the best thing to do if the meds dont work is to talk to your doc and as if the can change the doseage or to change you to a different med. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3
|
well, medications are usually the last resort, its much better to combat depression naturally without altering things in your body. there are side effects, etc etc. it'll be more effective if you do things like nightmare said, try watching anime or visiting gendou ^_^ |
Re: The Depression Thread V3
|
yep thats what i did, the best way to deal with it is to talk about it...like we do! its like an AA meating, but with depressed people insted of alchoholics...so like DA? angleyuki...i really like that picture you have...its really cute |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

...woah there's a depression thread...(yeah I might be a bit slow ^^") From what I gathered, depressants are just hormones that attach to the brain receptors...so like ketsuki said, they basically make you "high" to some extent. For the most part, it's always good to just express your thoughts or do things you enjoy like anime. Being a person who has stressed out many times and faced things like depressive moods, I can say it does indeed suck...but I usually get it from school-related things, so it may be different. |

I think it's more just D, we aren't that anonymous. Sekami, depression receptors are systemic, meaning that most of the cells in the body can react to hormones linked to depression not just your brain. It's what makes you feel sick and what not when you get really depressed. That's also why after you get fatigued from strss you can suffer from depression. Anyway, welcome to our lovely not-so-little thread. |

I feel like I have very little to do here. No depression wandering around. It's been awile since I filled anyone in. Uhh..... Life is great. My cat went to the vet. I got a new punch bag. Wasps stung me. More Resident Evil. Wifie is as sweet as ever. I watched Shawshank Redemption today for the umpteenth time in my life. |

Ah well wouldn't ya know it just when there's no depression in the world my life starts to suck again. First days of school shouldn't suck that's a bad sign. 1st: health; name says it all 2nd: Study hall; not so much suckage here lots of friends there, 'cept I have chem labs on wednesday 3rd: Chem; with the worst teacher in the whole school 4th:Adv pre calc; This one not so bad but I still don't have any friends in the class(which may not be so bad seeing as that's what screwed me up last year) 5th: Ap US hist; the entire class is lectures and notes, my two favorite things 6th: lunch; have no friends there unlike last year where it was basicall non=stop fun 7th: adv drafting; huge class which means that we won't go nearly half as fast as I would like to, so I won't get to do any of the fun stuff 8th: English; now you'd think I'd enjoy english likeing writting and all, but why do I always get stuck in the classs with the genuinely stupid kids. I'm already counting down the days 'til I leave. At least I have some friends in some of my classes, I should be so lucky. |

I made a new sig. I took existing pics and used Fireworks to turn them undead. Ok, here is the best advice I can give right now. How to make a bagged lunch: Go to ye local food shoppe...Buy fixins. To create a sandwich take 2, not 3, slices of bread. Bread is best stored in the freezer to prevent moldyness. Use microwave to thaw bread for 33 seconds. Put bread in toaster or toaster oven and set it to "light." Turn on. Assemble sandwich fixings. I recommed the smoked ham, pastrami, tofumbie, bolonge, turkey, or whatever you bought at ye local food shoppe. Peanut butter and jelly is also in fasion. Mastard! Swiss cheese and or perhaps any lower form of cheese. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc. Just takes everything you want in your sandwich and stick it between the bread which should be nice and toasty by now. As for drink, get yourself a nice large box of capri-suns or whatever. Get a back or chips or crackers in there. Some piece of fruit. Some sort of trail mix bar of some sorts, usually eaten as breakfast and not lunch. Wheat thins!!!!!! If you don't wanna eat them you can chuck them like shurikens! Candy... Some salami on the side. Some more sweets you bought from ye local asian munchie mart. etc etc etc. Basically you wasted your time reading that and I wasted my time typing it. Just put food in a freaken bag! |

(You're signature is too large, Jo'. If it has that scroll bar, fix it or something. ^_^) Packing, I heard a lot of people will start doing that now. LOL!! We'll see how things go. *sigh* I'm sick a bit, so I hope I get better soon and I got homework that I need to do later on my 3-day weekend and that always sucks. Hope all is well! ^_^ ------- |
