ok. lets look at it this way. Kira in Strike Freedom = Shinn in Destiny. After all, if Strike Freedom didn't appear out of nowhere, Shinn could have fought better. And there was still Cagalli and a fricken war around them. Not to mention that Shinn has beaten Freedom, and Freedom has not beaten Shinn in Impulse. Asuran lost to Kira, but Asuran was in pure angst mode. If Asuran wasn't in pure angst mode, he would have tired harder. And given that Aegis vs Strike was a Asuran win, Asuran wins in even fights. Kira lost to Shinn in Impulse, fair and square. And Impluse is a LOT worse then Freedom. Therefore, we can conclude that Seed Shinn > Seed Kira. Both of them were on eqaul grounds, and both concernrated on the fight at hand. Freedom nor Strike Freedom defeated Shinn. Asuran lost the most in Destiny. He lost to Destiny once, lost to Freedom once. Therefore, if he loses to Freedom in Saviour, which is better or eqaul to Impluse, Asuran is worse then Shinn. However, since he tied in his ownly fair battle against Kira, Asuran = Kira. Some of you may aruge that he beat Shinn, but Shinn was already messed up emotionally in both battles. The first one, was the shock of seeing Asuran alive. The second battle, he had already started doubting the Chairman, and he could see that Luna was going to be in trouble, as well as Luna trying to save Asuran. That battle was not a judge of his skill. Now, lets be fair about this. Mwu beat Kira, when it was Mwu in Strike vs Kira in Freedom. If Mwu>Kira, and Providence beats Mwu in Strike, then Rau>Mwu>Kira. But, since Kira did a seed of rage, he was able to beat Providence. And that Rau was sick. Now, Rey is a clone of Rau, so therefore, Beserk Seed Kira>Rau=Rey>Mwu>Seed Kira. And since Rey almost beat Kira, with an inferior suit, not to mention that if Kira didn't have a beam shield, Kira would have died, then Rey is the best. Beserk Seed Shinn took out an fleet single handedly in a suit worse then freedom. Therefore.. The Arc would really go. Berserk Seed Shinn= Beserk Seed Kira>Rau=Rey>Mwu>Seed Shinn>Seed Asuran>Seed Kira>Shinn=Kira=Asuran>Angst Kira>Angst Asuran>Angst Shinn. Now, if only Rau or Rey had seed. T_T |

The Unit is 1 thing, but the pilot is another... It wasnt a fair match freedom vs. impulse, in that episode freedom and archangel was trying to escape, knowing kira, he fights to protect by only aiming for the camera and armaments. Kira was Defending the ship while not injuring Shinn and Shinn was going all-out of rage to get revenge for stellar. Meaning,it wasnt a fair fight... now i'd say Athrun and Kira tied, and Shinn last... |

Kira lost, get over it. A: Kira aimed for Impulse's Cockpit, Shinn had to Open-Get to avoid it B: Shinn out-skilled Kira, and he was beating him without Seed at some points. C: Kira didn't give a crap about the ship, he would have attacked Minerva if that was the case. But he was going after Impulse. Not to mention, the fastest way to protect Archangel is to take out Impulse. Kira lost that fight, fair and square. There was no hesitation in that episode for Kira at all. |

| about the shinn vs kira battle, the fact is that shinn won, there were serveral circumstances, shinn was pissed, kira was over confident (not aiming the cockpit but the camera and armaments) fact that shinn knew cuz he studied freedom before the battle, (good for shinn that way he knew how to evade freedom attacks). now people say that impulse is a lot worse than freedom, it depends how you look at it, maybe if the battle one on one i agree freddom owns impulse, BUT if minerva is nearby, that is not true, i mean with minerva as a support, impulse has unlimited amount of energy, have the 3 impulse packages: force impulse (the aerial one),sword impulse( with the big swords, the one that impaled freedom), and blast impulse ( the one with the rifles and bazookas), meaning it can change from one another when needed and even better when a part of the mobile suit is damaged), and if i remember correctly when the battle took place minerva was nearby supporting impulse. |

| well, 4 me kira is a good pilot..but i like athrun < no offense > n about the shinn guy, i dunno if he is one good pilot or not.. seem that all are good pilot when fighting in angry situation... |

Kira was not overconfident. He has fought Shinn three times now, and knows what Shinn can do. He is aware of Shinn's power in that battle. Your point about Minvera supporting impulse is moot. Kira has N-Jammer canceller, and has UNLIMITED power. Shinn has as much power as Minerva can supply it, and shinn is VERY vulnerable when being shot at with a Beam. Kira can shoot any supplies that are launched at Shinns way, but he couldn't because Shinn already disarmed him very well. Furthermore, Shinn could have carried that anti-ship sword, but he didn't. He could have won if he had it from the start. And he won because he was more dedicated, Kira doesn't show that. Also, KIRA did aim for Shinn's cockpit. Shinn had to avoid it by using Open Get. Minerva sent Shinn one pack, and he only took the sword from it. That is hardly support. Minerva was more concentrated on fighting Archangel. |

ok i've just rewatched the kira vs shinn battle first kira shoots and shin blocks with his shield, seconds later kira shoots again this time shinn evades the beam just moving force impulse head a bit to the right, this surprises kira as shinn goes into seed mode while remembering stellar, kira keeps shooting and this time shinn keeps evading them, the camera slows down while showing force impulse avoiding a hit in its right arm (the one whit the riffle) and blocking once again with the shield, after this happens shinn remembers what rey told him about kira never aiming at the cockpit , he always aim at the armament or main camera, the monitor rey and shinn were looking shows a mobile suit and the parts where those are located, after that freedom and impulse start fighting with sabers, when the get away impulse uses his own shield to reflect a beam which impact on freedom's shoulder (nice one shinn), then shinn charges towards freedom while shooting a beam that freedom evades, shinn tries to slash freedom, but freedom dodges and counters by cutting impulse's left arm and head off, under normal circumstances or against any other mobile suit the battle would have ended, but the unit in question was impulse, shinn calls for support and ask for a chest flyer and a force silhouette while he sends the upper part of the damaged impulse towards freedom and as he fires from his airplane ( sorry don't remember the name) making it explode when it crashed on freedom, after the explosion freedom falls while shinn receives chest flyer and force silhouette having as a result a force impulse with no damage, and a quite damaged freedom, shinn atacks kira with impulse's saber kira evades and counters this time slashing at impulse's waist, but impulse splits and avoids the atack while kira is shock there is and explosion at freedom's back, now freedom is missing a wing and is being chased by impulse, kira blocks a couple a couple of shots as he wonders what the hell is going on, a blast hits on freedom's rifle, shinn asks for the sword silhouette impulses first gets the boomerang and throws it at freedom which makes freedom lose stability after that impulse catches the big sword and rushes towards a freedom that was just above the ocean ( it seemed to me the is was about to crash into the water) impulse using the big sword impales freedom ,kira tries to block using freedom's shield with no use cuz the sword goes through the shield and freedom's chest, as kira aims for impulse's head and left arm , after that there is an explosion, force impulse remain headless and without the left arm and shinn is crying overjoyed for taking down freedom. the winner shinn asuka, he fought well but he couldn't have won without minerva's support , he recieved support from minerva twice the first to get rid of the damage that force impulse had taken and to inflict damage on freedom, and the second to get the weapons that were needed to take down freedom (boomerang and big sword). if there had been no minerva to support impulse , impulse would have remained headless and armless for the whole battle. that was a just a supposition cuz the fact is that miverva was there to support impulse end of discussion, i think this was a little off topic, sorry if it was too long. |

all three have strengths and weakness. i think overall the best pilot is athrun because he can keep his cool in battle and probably has the most experience.Still athrun scares me T-T
