They had a maintanence check like two days ago or so, and everyone's achievements were temporarily gone.
But I heard rumor that it's possible they're adding in new achievements because apparently, there's going to be new special infected (plus new maps).

Racoon city, eh? Looks nice. Jesus, I know the No Mercy/Death Toll/Dead Air campaigns way too well. >_<;;
Still no sneak pic at the flamethrower yet, eh? Or other possible weapons.

that was the best tank kill ever, that reminded me of the double hit i've done in no mercy XD EPIC!!!

& the racoon city map looks really well done, but is it really coming or their just working on it now? only asking dun shun me cause i'm asking this

Actually I also suffer that kind of attack but i didnt die cause i play normal.

And a question is a pump out shotgun more powerful or autoshotgun more powerful?

Auto shotty should be more powerful since it's the pump shotty's upgrade.
Plus crowning witches with them is easier with the auto.

I'm happy, but at the same time disappointed (maybe cause my ping was on/off, high/low switch).
Pretty hard to find even a single server to play today, but makes sense since the DLC came out today for the PC version.

I'm happy cause survivor mode is fun, but only a single brand new level.
They didn't change any of the other levels, or as I know right now, haven't played 'em all yet.
The Lighthouse gives you crazy gas tanks, molotovs, etc. but the house gets completely destroyed when the hordes come.

What I hate about it, is that it's too difficult. Two tanks, two smokers, it's like a small group of special infected can spawn.
Their spawn points are so quick, and those tanks are horrible.
Which makes 'em horrible is that they attack you while the following horde is about to get ready to attack you,
and of course special infected are just spawning at any given moment now.

It's hard, seriously. Maybe if I get used to it more, perhaps.
They added seven new achievements along with survivor mode, but I haven't even tried the two campaigns for versus mode yet.
I'm too busy this week to be playing it but I wanted to give it a try at least.

Now what I'm disappointed at is that it's not the full DLC.
The brand new (2) campaigns for L4D were not added. Maybe they needed more time or it might release again later on.
Of course no flamethrower, but other info that was either rumored or fact, is still in the open now.
Since the DLC released today, it might just prepare you for things to come (like new special infected).

They also added like a leader boards things for survivor mode to share times.
Bronze Medal: Last 4+ MINS, Silver Medal: Last 7+ MINS, Gold Medal: Last 10+ MINS.

The difficulty is definitely not Normal, seems like a harder version of Advanced if not Expert without your health being so vulnerable to damage.

I got the feeling the game in Expert mode really doesn't want us to arrive at the safe house 'safely' haha. If we made through a tank unscarred, and sacrificed a player just to kill a witch blocking the one-path way..you'll find the second tank coming just in front of the safe house and there will be another witch weeping in front of the safe house door!

I've experienced 3 tanks per map once in an Expert mode game, felt really frustrated with that..all of us were complaining "Freakin' hell, how many tanks are there?". Thankfully they don't make Tanks respawn as fast as those hunters, smokers and boomers do!

Hey, hey guys I used to play on steam and whenever I want to join a game it says "Your string table differs from the server"..so what does it mean? It happened even after I joined the game and played for 2 maps, disconnected during the 3rd map loading..sad.

And I thought I've already 'abide' by the rules of signature.

On the one Dead Air campaign I played (online), the only level where you travel through the parking building and whatnot,
and then you have to run down that long hallway to get to the saferoom,
there's a room right before that, with a small hallway, and on one game, a Tank spawned right there and killed us all (all our health were low).

We tried to trap it in the safe room or split up so one of use or two of us could heal,
but since that tank hit more than one person at once, it took us all out at the same time, too. >_<;;

Tried out Death Toll and Dead Air (versus) yesterday, Death Toll is kind of difficult,
but I always wanted to try Dead Air from seeing smokes do their thang.
I had one pull where I instantly killed someone by dragging them below the dumpster.
No chance of surviving, but easy to get killed since you're in the open.

^[EDIT] Haha, played Dead Air Versus again early this morning, man I had an awesome team and we just destroyed the other team.
This is when I love Versus, and really the only time I love it.

As survivors, we reached each safe room on the four levels as well as finish the finale (since they left and ditched one person).
I haven't done it yet so it was a nice feeling. Had just under 6,000 points.
I mean we led almost all the versus stats, they were horrible at tanks,
and special infected overall, they were bad, especially in the finale.
I even lagged a bit since my ping was high (on/off) and we were gods.

I had a good time with Tank killing all four on one level,
but they gave me a far spawn point and I almost got lost, haha.
They were doomed though, my team were waiting for me to take the lead,
I rushed down the hallway (on the one level), and they were all at a corner outside the door, and after that, there was no way to escape.

I tried to find my spot as Smoker on that one level but someone else was usually Smoker during that part.

They still need to severely fix server issues! Took forever to really get a game going,
and the one server just lagged everyone and their ping was in the red zone.
They need to hook up with AT&T or something. More bars.

I don't know if you guys ever encountered this but I think left4dead has one of the best Director A.I and voice acting.

We were on an Expert Blood Harvest chapter, at the train yard with the sky bridge and small house..so there's a tank there and basically all of us were in critical health. The tank killed all three of my teammates and left me with the sniper shooting far away.

The tank died, left me alone limping and the character I'm using was Zoey. All of sudden Zoey mummers and sings slowly, ya know its like she's trying not to be afraid given the fact she's alone. I'm damn impressed with the voice acting that the emotional effect shown is real, she can be heard weeping in between when she sings. Seriously, there could a movie out of this!

p.s: The pipe bomb I were reluctant to use since the beginning of that mission came in handy at that scene haha, when the horde appeared.

And I thought I've already 'abide' by the rules of signature.

The A.I. for this game has already been given credibility a few times.
The voice acting can be nice sometimes, but annoying at other times, too.

Just give the game a more realistic, mood/aura feeling when you're getting pummeled with zombies and ballistic gunfire.

Guys Left for Dead 2 came out for the PC and Xbox 360 Left 4 Dead 2 is set for release on November 17th, 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Yup, know this.

I'm waiting for game play footage and more info to release. I'm still bummed it isn't free,
then again there's going to be way too much new content, so it's whatever.

well theyre doing X-Box Live maintenance right now I think. Theyve been doing it all day. But ya, with all the adds goin in for left 4 dead, the games arent going to really be as much fun. And people who are Bommer just spam the sludge you dont need to be good to be boomer.

I don't play it anymore, it got boring after a while. I finished all campaigns, including extreme, and the new survivor mode is just not that great to keep me entertained.
