Haruko Momoi, aka Halko Momoi, formerly of Under17. She has a large body of work both herself and as Under17. She also composes her own songs and write the lyrics. Also known as the "World Famous MOE singer", MOE being a genre of techno-pop with cute girl voices. Probably has the cutest voice of any singer known in existance.

Known work with Under17 and herself includes themes for Popotan both game and anime, DearS, Nurse Witch Komiugi both game and anime, Kuijiki Unbalance, and various games including Angel Rabbie and Magi-Ku.

MOSAIC.WAV, founded by Masaya Koike, who was the other member of Under17. Calls its brand of techno-pop, Akiba-Pop, as in Akihabara-Pop. If you love cute munchkin vocals with techno music, this is the right group.

FUNTA. Another techno-pop group. Strangely no albums, but has contributed to themes for various Anime that includes Popotan (S-U-K-I) and Pitaten (Wake Up Angel!)

M-O-V-E. Best known for their work on Initial D, but also has other work like the opening theme for Ikki Tousen and a lot of their own original studio albums. Best known work includes Dogfight!! for Initial D.

Angela. For the theme songs for Stellvia of the Universe, Jinki Extend and Fafner. Asu e no Brilliant Road is a classic.

Kotoko. Themes for Onegai Teacher, Onegai Twins, Shakugan no Shana, Kazuhiko no Miko.

Mami Kawada. She sounds quite like Kotoko and I tend to confuse them both. Also works on the same anime like Onegai Twins and Shakugan no Shana.

For seiyuu-singers, Yui Horie, Aya Hirano and Megumi Hayashibara.

The SKA bands like ORESKAND. I think they made the cyber neko Kuro-chan theme.

RIN! I like the way they mix traditional japanese music and instruments with modern pop tunes. Did work on Samurai 7 but most of their work are in original albums.

For composers, Nobuo Uematsu for final Fantasy up to X, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. Yasunori Mitsuda for Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears and Xenosaga I; Motoi Sakuraba for the Star Ocean and Tales of ___ series.

since I loved all Japanese artists, I developed a simple classification of...

1. B'z
2. the others
simple and nice ^^

and when I'm feeling kinda weak, JAM Project always make my day with some hot-blooded songs

Wow, looks like a revived thread to me... Well, lately i found someone whose songs are all nice... Usually even if i like a singer there must be a few of his/her songs that i don't like, but not in this case... I love EVERY single song she did!

Kokia ftw

then lately i found out some singers to keep watch on. Shimamiya Eiko and Rurutia...
