i also agree with the 2 earlier replies. where in the story did those titles come from?

as for the gravitation reply earlier, i saw on the ova that tohma kinda likens the pull of the band (and the story of course) to gravity.

Pita-Ten comes from the Japanese onomonapeia (gosh, I hope I spelled that right) for 'clinging' and the Ten is short for 'tenshi' or angel in Japanese. So, Pita-ten is Clinging-angel... which has to be Misha anyway :D

I find Fullmetal Panic! and Kiddy Grade to be odd names.

Full Moon isn't strange. Mitsuki's music says: furumoon wo sagshite', or 'Look for the FULL MOON'... ¬¬

Now, a REALLY strange one is Sailor Moon... O_o

P.S: If there is something really wrong, i'm sorry, but i'm brazilian O_o

Azumanga Daioh. Daioh means "great king". Azumanga is from the author's name plus the word "manga". It's strange, right? But it turned out to be very funny.

Full Metal Panic is another one.

@Jabba: Yes, "Weiss Kreuz" means something in German; it translates as "White Cross". Technically, an "ß" should be used, thereby making the title "Weiß Kreuz"... but then no one would know how to pronounce it, and they essentially spell the same thing. Silly German characters.

[yay for being a German major!]

I think the title "Tramps Like Us" is the stupidest title. The manga's original title was "Kimi wa Pet", translating to "my pet". Where the hell they got "Tramps Like Us" from and how it relates to the [adorable] series, I have no idea.

i'm in gryffindor!

hmm, how about KIDDY GRADE? nothin much about Kitty, or grade. btw, what in the world is KIDDY??? a way of saying word "kid" in a more Kawaii sense? all that anime is about some space ships and "out of this world" sci -fi. well all sic-fi are "out of this world" :P

Champloo means stir-fry in some language or another, and the producer was hoping to 'stir' together samurai and hip-hop. I learned that somewhere. Weiß Kreuz means White Cross in German, and my choice is Pita-Ten. Why, if the main character is Misha-chan?!
