I did the Japanese name generator when I already have a Japanese name and it gave me: Akihito (Autumn Book), Etuko (Given Child)...and that is majorly different than my own name. For starters, my last name is Suzuki so I was thrown in for a loop. I am not sure how it comes up with the Japanese name, but I'll keep my own name.....lol

When translated, or at least that's what the Japanese generator said, my japanese name is: 長谷川 Hasegawa (long valley river)
æ© Ayumi (walk, deeper meaning: walk your own way).

Amazing. It sort of describe me. I don't like crowd that much, I'm not
a loner but I prefer to be alone most of the time.

Just in case anyone's confused the way these generaters work is generally based on things like the number of letters in each name or the first letter, etc. There's no actual translation involved.

Eto..interesting, i would have thought that this thread meant actual people's names...i guess not...(though realistically that would make people more prone to stalkers and such)...i don't think English names can translate directly, but it sounds fun ^o^ *goes off to use translator on own name*...but generally i just use my name in katakana..so i used a gen and came up with the same name as a couple of other people...i highly doubt we have the same name. k, i was going to enter a better name translation, but i quite because they're all the same generator, the rum and monkey one, it said my name was long river valley and 3 thousand generations....-_-;; not even close

Sushi is YumYum, Sashimi is YumYum, Shishamo is YumYum, THEY\\\'RE ALL YUMYUM!!! Onigiri is YumYum. Mochi is most YumYum.

My name in japanese is : 渡辺 洋介 (in full, Ryan Yosuke Watanabe)

Upon searching and defining the each word (洋介)

洋= 大きい水、海よりも大きな水域の意味に用いる。= Large/Vast Water, High sea/Ocean larger than the sea. (Something like that... Was interesting to search the definition)

介=「人+八印(両わきにわかれる)」で、両側に二つにわかれること。両側にわかれることは、両側から中のものを守ることでもあり、中に介在して両側をとりもつことでもある。 = **wont translate all of it since i'm not good at translating well. 人 Hito: Person/human +八印(Hachi: Eight) (Is seperated to each side)」by this、It seperates to 2 sides. By seperating to two sides, it protects the middle/inside/in-between from each side, or being in-between and holds each side.

What my parents told me long ago was something similar to the definition in what they thought/wanted: Being in-between and hold each side that is vast as the ocean.

**edit *didn't know the rum and monkey site.. so here it hos it happened when I put, Watanabe Yosuke: 猿渡 Saruwatari (monkey on a crossing bridge) 拓海 Takumi (open sea).. Was very intersting.
