| I came to the conclusion years ago that over 90% of internet users can't spell and has a poor command of Engish, even if English is their first language. |

Well, that bothers me a little though, since I will have some hard time trying to figure out what the 1337-5p34k3r5 are saying. :P 'Lyk' is one of the words that I find disturbing, since it looks and sounds a lot like 'lick'. And well, if I see anyone replacing 'come' with 'c - u - m', I'm gonna troll on the spot. :P (Hmm, wonder if I get the ban if I write that... scary~)
Behold the possibilities ! The end is merely the start of a new history !

I'm afraid that this dialect belongs to a group of people I refer to as "n00bs who don't care". People like Stoned_Azn never bother to spell out anything, and many people (often including Gendou) don't bother to use capitalization. Grammar also seems to be a difficult concept for them to grasp as, quite often there is no hint of it in their posts. |

Can People Spell?

| It's been a while, so I checked the latest threads in the anime section. And I've noticed about ten to twelve threads were misspelled. I can understand that if the person's first language is not English, but I don't think anyone's spelling is that bad to write "lyke" for "like". Perhaps it's just my pet peeve, but isn't it rather annoying? |
