Spririted Away was a 4-star movie here in the US!! Miyazaki is an excellent artist! I understand people don't like Sprited Away and I won't draw them out. People have different tastes, and obviously yours was not Spirited Away. Is this about Miyaki's Spirited Away movie, or about overated anime titles? ![]() ------- |

I think Spirited Away is overated too... It is not that it is a bad animation but it is quite entertaining to me... Just don't know why people crazy about it? |

You are right, I am going to give you crap. This thread should be in the "Anime" section.

I really hope people reply to this! But if you ask me, and I will problaby get a lot of crap for this - Spirited Away was the most boring, over-rated anime ever! I couldn't care less about those characters! And the old lady, 3 heads, and the giant baby? WTF? That was just nasty! Now the animation was good and the voices were good, but C'MON! There's no excuse for a 2-story baby in a THONG! Put a diaper on that mofo, old nasty lookin lady! And the story just didn't draw me in, and I don't know why. i grew up on Vampire Hunter D, Venus Wars, Akira...good action, stories, and characters I wanted to be or meet! I saw none of this in Spitit Away (that was not a typo)! And don't get me started on the music! However, Fireflies was one of the best movies ever, period, so I got to give Miyazaki credit. But I just didn't like this movie... maybe I just lost some taste growing up on Vampire Hunter D I would have had otherwise. Am I the only one?
