Hmmmm...Since were talking about Meiling, might as well talk about how the Meme's started :] Lets see...Well, it should be pretty obvious that everyone started making fun of Meiling after the Japanese instantly associated her with the word 'China'. Also from the fact that everyone didn't even recognize her own name, well...haha! no one calls China 'Hong Meiling' anymore. Instant popularity to make fun of. From what I've seen playing EoSD and...well, a bit of UNL(I didn't really get it going too well on my own comp :[ ), Meiling is...well...I don't actually believe that Meiling is a lazy guardian truthfully. If she were, why would she bother fighting Marisa and Reimu in EoSD. She also continuously gets bashed on by Sakuya by knives that started when she couldn't defend the mansion against the two protagonists, which Sakuya also lost to, but was a 'higher ranked boss'. Though, it is still quite fun to make fun of Meiling regardless :] Because of my Chinese pride, 'China' is totally not stupid! Also, I don't believe its ever really used and no one really notice's...but Hong Meiling is stated to be the SDM's gardener and not just their gate guard lol.  |

@L oh wow, welcome xDDD Didnt know you are into this too Well, her name is Hong Meiling, chuugoku I Believe comes from a certain flash when she failed to get Remilia to say her name, in which she failed to spell into Hong Miling. From Kurenai Misuzu (Some fans believed that's her name before zun clarified otherwise. So back then there are people who believed that Her name is Hong Meiling, and there are people who believed that her name is Kurenai Misuzu) China, to Chuugoku. rofl Although Meiling seems to be the always bullied-coward-slacking-off-kind-of-a-person, she's actually quite awesome. In UNL, she's probably almost as powerful as Suika (Well, in term of sheer power, of course Suika is way ahead). Also, not to mention that in some doujinshi she's really dependable. Like that one titled Scarlet and Scarlet, where she defended the gate to keep flandre from going out. Of course she's no match for Flandre |D But she looked cool doing that. Or in another doujinshi (Forgot the title orz) Where she fought on par with remilia, before she was recruited to SDM. Speaking of which, This is the said flash video  |

@Everyone : If you want to see some REALLY good doujins that REALLY make Hong Meiling look good, search for there Scarlet Devil and Save the Gate Basically, Save the Gate is almost like a continuation of Scarlet Devil. The main character is of course, Hong Meiling. If possible, i would give a link, but i believe it's against the rules. Good luck finding :] |

ah yes, scarlet devil.. that was the doujin I mentioned about, when Meiling fought Remilia.. that was good I'd also like to add one more.. Scarlet and Scarlet.. that's a really good stuff |

Mmmmm, i know those vids. The graphics for those vids are quite similar to the game. Most of the flashes that are using those end up quite odd hahaha xD @edit : OH!!!
