I forgot to put wo. >.<

well yeah, I too am studying Japanese. well self study.

about the 'wakaru' comment. I was mamoru who suggested it. its just that I usually hear wakatta as it is and not in a sentence.

"Sono ue" another term to my vocabulary. it kind a like a direct translation of "on top of that".

the advertisement did help.

Ohayou.
Boku no namae wa Celia desu. Douzo yoroshiku..
Btw,
I have a question to ask.
What's the differences between the particles 'wa' and 'ga'.
I'm confused.
Gommen, boku no nihongo wa beta desu.

Arigatou gozaimasu.

"wa" and "Ga" is a little different in usage.

Example: Watashi wa ......, Kore wa......, Ano hito wa......

Example: Watashi no nihongo ga....., ....... + koto ga arimasu, Hou ga ii desu.

Wa --> Topic marker.
Ga --> Use as a continuation of a sentence (When see things as overall).

Hope I make things clear here. I am not too good at explaining things.

and another thing
we don't say "watashi no nihongo ga jyouzu jya arimasen"
it's a common mistake
the correct one should be "watashi wa nihongo ga jyouzu jya arimasen"

Is this correct?

Kinou no ban wa anna pan wo sutete imashita.

This is my random sentence that I created with sutete.....

Any comment would be good.

nope...
kinou no ban ni ano pan wo sutemashita. = I threw that bread away last night.

if your sentence
Kinou no ban wa anna pan wo sutete imashita. = As for last night I had been throwing that kind of bread away.

Opps, sorry should have put in the intended translation for my sentences too.

I actually wanted to make it "As for Last night I threw that kind of bread away".

Can I combine yours and mine to make it like this?

Kinou no ban wa anna pan wo sutemashita. --> As for last night I threw that kind of bread away.

Is this correct?

Mamoru san, do you happen to know where can I try to have a written conversation with any japanese people? Or can i do it with you?

kinou no ban wa pan wo sutemashita
you are telling "what you did last night"

kinou no ban ni pan wo sutemashita
you are telling "when you throw the bread away"

it depends on what you want to say and sometimes the question you are being asked

and yes you can talk with me : D

Hi everyone!Can i join?
Currently i'm learning japanese as well.
And i'll face the exam in three days from now.
And i'm quite worry..T_T
just wanna ask about the "masu" form and "te" form.
I found it that it's difficult to differentiate the different between two words who have the same "te" form.(without the kanji)

Eg:
撮りますーとって
取りますーとって

both are pronounce as とります(torimasu)and their "te" form are the same-とって(totte).If without the kanji,i really can't differentiate both of them. And even if i wanna find the meaning in dictionary by just looking at the "te" form, transform back to dictionary form and then search in dictionary,i have to take long time...T_T...
Anyway,i'm just in beginner level,level 4.
Please give me some suggestion.thanz.^^

撮る - to take : used exclusively for taking photos or filming a movie.
取る - to take : a very generalized usage, used for the action of picking up, also can signify "to earn" (money) or even "harvest". Although I would prefer to use 採る (pronunced toru as well) to mean "to collect" (fruit, blood, etc...)

Japanese is a contextual language unlike English. Toru means 5-6 different verbs that are conjugated exactly alike. You have to interpret the meaning depending on the context of the dialogue. Although notice that all these homophones verbs have "similar" meaning that are not completely unrelated (in this case "to take" used in different contexts)

I would suggest you to look more into 取る though, as it is a widely used verb and is used in many compounded verbs like 受け取る (to receive) and many expressions like 年を取る (to grow old, lit. to take age) or 連絡を取る (to get in touch)...

Good luck on your exam...

ermmm.....how should I say this...I recently got this from one of my friends...A few of us interact and self study japanese language and sometimes we seems to come to a dead end. He wrote this to me and ask me to check for grammatical mistakes. He was pretty sure he had many mistakes in it....but I am not too good in it as my japanese language pro efficiency is just as bad. On top of that I do not understand some of the kanji he wrote......

Plz i hope someone can help me out here as me and my friends still want to keep learning without a lecturer as we can't afford it.

My thanks to anyone who can help out.

question: REGARDING THE KATAKANA WRITING

how do you write "di' in katakana?
I'm just confused because If I type di in my laptop the character looks like this ヂ
But when my sensei wrote my name (divina)she use デイ(with the small イ)
while my half Japanese friend say it is read as "dey"

so which one is correct?
how do I spell my name?
Sorry for my stupid question, I'm just confused.
Hope somebody can help.

ディ= dei/di (Not dey)

ディヴィナ = divina

By the way nice name for a female.
