| Haha, this is actually pretty embarassing for me. xP If you've ever seen Prince of Tennis, then you know who says "mada mada dane" for sure. lol. I say that everytime I get a bad grade. xPP! Leave me alone. And a couple of more regular stuffs to my friends. It's pretty fun. ;3 |

I use just about everything in that first list and a good handful of others, but have learned to hold my tongue in the audience of the unfamiliarized. When I'm around them I don't use the English version though cus my mind is stuck on the Japanese one.... And I use the honorifics.. |

| I am a GREAT fan of anime especially Cardcaptor Sakura. This is kinda funny , i started learning japanese is because the person next to me always use japanese to scold me like "baka" . Then after i found some interesting anime such as Gundam Seed and Chobits, i also learn japanese from there, i wish to learn more japanese. Watashi sakura desu , yoroshiku onegaishimasu. |

I say "Kawai" sometimes and of course "baka" I'll be waiting here. So if you come here, you'll find me... I promise. |

Re: Japanese Vocabulary

I sometimes utter "baka" when I really feel the object of the term is not acting, but being a fool. However, the term I use most often is "gekokujou", which, like "mada mada dane", also comes from the Prince of Tennis series. I don't actually use it to talk about surpassing one's superiors, but only in the context of "worthless", as in, "That game is worthless! But not as much as you-know-who." Because honestly, that guy totally sucked. |

| None, I don't really use any, except for things like "-sama". I use this for one friend who pretty much forces me to add it to her name.. |

| Lol. Some of those, yea. I don't mix jap with english though. On and off I'd go "Kusou...!" , "Kore ga... nanda kusou da yo?!", "Shinjirarenai, sono baka/aho no koto.".When we throw insults at each other, I would say something and put "Ja nai" behind it. Like "Ohhh honto ni kakoi...JA NAI YO".But I pronounce "-nai" as "-nei", the yakuza way =D. |

note: "kawai" and "kawaii" means 2 different things. "kawai" means pitiful(it can be used in other ways like "precious",but we usually use "taisetsu" for that),while "Kawaii" means cute. "Hai" can be used as "yes!","OK"(or sometimes "ryoukai" for that. "Ryoukai" is translated as "Understood" most of the time though"). "Hai" can also be used as "what?"...instead of saying "nani". heh~ it sounds cuter, don't u think? i'm not too sure of when to use "hai" and when to use "nani" though. there are many other words like "kawai" and "kawaii" in the jpanese language so do be careful when using them! ps i know i'm not too much of a pro to say this but do be careful~ |

Re: Japanese Vocabulary

You should all be fucking shot and stabbed to death by a mob of jap natives. You use japanese wording without knowing the full meanings of the words, the situations that you use them in, or even the pronounciation. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Especially for using them in mid-english-sentence. What the fuck is wrong with you stupid waps? Have you no shame? Have you no honour? The dumbest thing out of all of this is that most of you just pick up certain words and items from anime and force them into your english vocabulary. It's because of you that we have sentences and phrases like "Sakura-chan is so kawai!" and "Penis daisuki!" These sentences coming from people who still pronounce karaoke as "car-ee-o-kee". In short, I hope you all suffer mentally for destroying a language you're currently obsessing over. On top of that, I hope you all shut the fuck up and never speak another language (even your native one) ever again. Half of you can't even read basic kana and yet you think you're smart by saying "nani?" Problems: romaji is bad for you! You don't capatalize jap words or sentences. It doesn't make any fucking sense. gyarando! kanji is important. Learn it or gtfo. Stab you with a fucking spoon!
I have signature! YAY!!!

wot does senpai means?? |
|
Re: Japanese Vocabulary

If I'm not mistaken, SEMPAI means "upperclassman" |
|
Re: Japanese Vocabulary
|
|
Re: pepekun Senpai is relative to the speaker. Upperclassman in English could be used to refer to one's self or to one's inferior as long as they are in the higher levels of grades in school. Senpai is usually used to refer to a superior/senior in school (not senior as in last year of school), especially in clubs. Usually it's someone you are somewhat familiar with and have gained this status of "senpai" with them. Some people spell this word "sempai" because it is easier for English-speaking people to read (when the sound "n" is said before the sound "p," a human's mouth naturally makes an M sound because m and p are both bilabial sounds). |
