lol yes.. I just thought it was funny when I first saw it, with the gendowned background, and his message "i have newly pimped my page".. it probably made others think that this new background was his version of "pimp" lol.... |

tell me something, i know you ban members who hotlink right? now how can you proctect against dynamic ip addresses? considering i was caught when a certain inuyahsa site's staff member hotlinked, i came on here to check the forums and bang, there i was with the banned message, and not having had done anything... can someone explain? oh, and for those who don't know, dynamic ips change evertime you connect to the net, and yes, i have one, which confused me when i connected again later that night here in aust and found the ban still in effect....

Are we (or just Gendou?) evil enough to make a Xanga/LJ/MySpace/etc account for the sake of putting up an obnoxious comment (e.g. YOU'VE BEEN GENDOWNED, DON'T HOTLINK!) to annoy hotlinkers?? I mean, hotlinking really is bad, but going that far may be too mean, huh? Oh well, I still think it's funny how people respond to being Gendowned. :P |

Ohhhkaaayyyyy I went there and found his post. ..... What the FUCK!!! I leave my xanga for one fuckin day and I find Tub girl on my xanga!!! I was just physical fuckin sick man!! I really just threw up in a Gabage can.... Who the fuck would do that!? Does someone fuckin hate me and found out my password?! I'm not sure I can go on xanga again.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Who would do that? Gendou. :) I'll have to watch this topic. |

That sort of think can get you banned from Wikipedia. Doing the same sort of think here (continuously requesting a certain feature/song/ect.) would just have the same effect. Having classified the entry as neologism, it has been added to the deletion consideration list again. Perhaps you could follow the Wikipedia way and use their discussion page to argue the validity of Gendowned being included in Wikipedia. Either way, abide by the same behavior you would expect at this site: reading all rules, discusing problems instead of trying brute force, etc. Note also, at their Your first article page, the heading about extremely short articles, about 2/3 of the way down. |

the short answer: mad skills. technical answer: user's web browser reports HTTP_REFERRER to apache via an HTTP header. apache reports the HTTP header to PHP via the $_SERVER variable. if HTTP_REFERRER is supplied but does not mach "gendou.com", the error is saved to my MySQL database for me to review later.
