The night we met was the first time I ever saw him. He was just another USAF major in a room full of military from the Royal Navy, RAF and the USAF. I fell in love, very in love and I still am.  |

Lith... it might not only be about their outer apperence... I do believe in Love at first sight. It happened with my first love. I was at the beach and I saw him playing in the water with a younger kid (found it was his nephew) helping teach him how to swim. Wearing buggs bunny shorts (which later I found he made himself) and the biggest smile and most carring laugh. I couldn't help for the life of my but introduce myself. We dated and even though we are not still together he is still one of my best friends today. I still love him too :) Just in a different way now. I am greatful to have had him come into my life.

Ranger's apperance had nothing to do with vanity and every thing to do with the regulations concerning appearence. I was in a dress too large for me, it belonged to my older sister. I hardly think my appearence was due to vanity either. It was due to the dress I wanted to wear not being avaialbe and my having to borrow one from Jane who is taller than I am. |

I don't really believe in love at first sight. To me it means you REALLY like their looks, and i dont consider that love. In my opinion, you have to get to know the person a bit or quite a bit in order to love them. But I just thought of another possiblity. Love period? Isn't that what christians/catholics are supposed to do? I guess love before sight would exist too then? haha... Oh and happy for you two rin and ranger. To Ranger: Way to go! lol To Rin: Yup, sometimes you plan things for 9283754 years and all of a sudden it backfires on ya. |

Backfires? Absolutely. I met a guy at a time when I didn't want a relationship. I did want't to go to that catillion. And I certainly didn't want to wear that dress (I still have it). I didn't want to talk to anyone and I didn't want some fool of an officer taking me home. Only is didn't work out that way. I have never had a fasination for the military, I fact loathed the military although that attitude has changed. Lith says it's lust and just a vain outer apperance. Everything abotu Ranger was something I didn't like. Arrogant AF officer in uniform, A hot sports car, an apparent lack of appreciation for the arts. A pilots attitude, and I knew a lot of them. A list if things that basically said don't even talk to him yet I did. I also let him take me home and let him make love to me something I thought I would never do. I had never had a problem resisting the charms of other men before. My attitude being go away I don't want to jump into bed much less go to dinner with you and keep you hands off of me which was a major problem then. I didnlt even know expect anything to happen, only it did. Now what? Allowing a perfect stranger to take me to bed and to have my maidenhood? How stupid is that? |

Omg, people it is obvious Rin states a perfect example. If love is actually possible who is to say, it can't grow so fast that we can call it love at first site. What I see is back then Rin's and Ranger's love shared then what it shares now.  Jomunga eats your avatars. |

I agree Jomunga. ANd I am going to say this again: IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT LOOKS!!! AHHH!! man that really gets me.... Why do alot of people think that!!? Yes it does happen, but that is not the ONLY reason. I think that there is love at first site but I believe that it can also be on the fact on something the person does or says or something besides looks.

i agree with both of you.... i also believed in love at first site but it doesn't matter anymore cause i find someone i like. *blush* a lot of people think looks matter but that's stupid!!! my mom, dad, grandma, aunties, uncles, all think looks matter but i don't!!! hehehe.... |

i believe in love at first sight! i met this guy when i we were still in gradeschool(grade 2 to be exact) and i love him ever since... but he kinda like my bestfriend when i found out: i was crushed! today his brother always keeps me company, helps me with... everything! and i could help but fall for him. and i juwst don't know why i loved 2 persons and found out they are related to each other. (my 1st love was my class mate, and my present love is his brother- 5 years OLDER than me.) but what ever we (his brother and me) loved each other!

I believe in love at first sight. I met this guy and I thought he was really good looking and he was Japanese ^_^ (w00t) He is really sweet, and I fell for his charm. I have loved him ever since. But the only problem is that he is 6 (almost only 5) years older than me T_T which really sucks.

You can love more than one person at a time and with the same love for both. You can also feel the same feelings for a person of the same sex in some instances. |

Sero that's what I was trying to say but people don't listen to me... *nope not at all* One of my best friends who I love a lot *not in love with any more but still love deeply as a friend* was love at first sight... His looks counted BUT I have met a lot of guys hotter than him and din't fall in love. He was playing with his little brother and was smiling and laughing. Having a genuinely good time and being extremelt nice and caring. Actually I thought he was taken and it was his kid or something. Sometimes the way people talk, act, move, react, etc can have a HUGE effect on how people preceve them. You can tell a lot about a persons PERSONALITY by the way the look and act ont he outside. If they are gentle or rough, if they are nice or snotty, if they like animals, kids, people, popcorn... If they take pride in the way they look, if they like certain types of colors or cloth, if they are an introvert or extrovert.... you can tell a LOT about a person by just a glance.

Generalizations are bad. Wait, doh! generalizations, are the way you learn so there not bad at all, also some people don't always fit into nice neat little categories. Like me, you can't classify me, I'm a six foot nerd that benches ~145 lbs, which should be more except for my messed up arm. Love at first sight based upon generalizations on how people act is not that common, supriseing I know. It's more based on the physiological responese to set facial features and subltle pheromones. So realy it should love at first recptor trigger. |
