Greetings! What means on Japanese "hitory? Something prompts me, that it not a name... (in advance I ask a pardon for mistakes in the text, I badly know English)

Well, if "hitory" nothing means, it would be desirable to know, that means "hitori...(^_^)

i have met several japanese girls who have come on foreign exchange and most were name "haruka"

or maybe this is just coincidence.

Example, Yamamoto,Matsumoto,Hajimoto and many more

Hm....well, I go by an uncommon Japanese name, Yami, which means darkness, but Yamimori, my full name, means Dark Forest...yes, everyone calls me that n.n

hikaru is also a very common name in japan.
what's more interesting is that it can be used by both genders.

Other common names are most likely used in many animes
such as

Sakura - Naruto, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc...
Yuki - Vampire Knight, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya etc...
Minami - Airgear, Minami-ke etc...
and... cant think of anything else at the moment XD

THE MOST COMMON NAMES ARE:
kira,tomoe,sakura,suzaku,sinichi,kuichi,aya,kurei,taski,taiga,yuki,yuuki,hikari,kei,sosuke,haruka,tooya,naru,haru,haruhi,asahi,mizuki.
