Idk why Saban gave the rights to Disney...and it sucks that just because Japan bought the rights back, us in the US can no longer see any season of PR ever again...

@kira
Not exactly a yearly thing, but a lot of them come out to anime conventions and stuff. There's probably going to be another reunion Summer 2010 because of the Power Morphicon. (Which I hope I can go, but it's not that easy living on the USA's eastern coast. :/ )

@Kiba
Jason David Frank, the actor who plays Tommy, was divorced and remarried, so yeah, a lot has changed from MMPR to Dino Thunder. :)
Also, a lot of ideas that Disney uses in its series are based off of the Super Sentai counterparts, such as Forever Red's commemoration corresponding to Gaoranger vs Super Sentai or that 2-parter in Operation Overdrive where Adam/Johnny Yong Bosch and other former rangers came in corresponding to Boukenger vs Super Sentai. (Although that Tommy thing in Dino Thunder against his former selves is simply just that: a Tommy thing.)

++++++++++++++++++++++

I have some links you guys might be interested in regarding Power Rangers.

http://afterthepower.blogspot.com/
After the Power is a blog that finds series/movies where former Power Rangers/villains/etc have been seen in. (Ex.: Amy Jo Johnson (MMPR Pink) in the TV series Flashpoint)

http://awwman.com/nps/main/
No Pink Spandex: a podcast all about Power Rangers. Included are interviews with Cheryl Saban (Haim Saban's wife), Catherine Sutherland (Kat from MMPR/Zeo/Turbo), and Blake Foster (Turbo's Justin).

Figured the club could use these kind of links. :)

@kiba, most of those sentais were never turned into actual power rangers series if that what your talking about i dunno :P

@Vinar, i admit super sentai has the better story and the better fight scenes, but then so did MMPR and up to Turbo, but nothing beats the Morph/henshin sequences in power rangers. no matter how crap the series in America you will always enjoy the morph sequences.

@Draiken, wait? Jason got divorced after Dino Thunder or Before Dino Thunder? cause after Dino Thunder he has a wife and kid :U on real life off course not on the series.

Btw heres a video of the all de Morphs!!!

@Kiba
If you find anything out, don't you dare post anything! I like surprises, and I really hate spoilers! >_<
*coughcough* Just saying.

@Ballz
That's three kids; 2 with his first wife and 1 with his second. Based on the timeline of things (not that I have any dates to back this up), I would think that his divorce was before Dino Thunder.

As for the Power Rangers vs Super Sentai thing, although a lot of footage in Power Rangers was originally from its Super Sentai counterpart, Saban deserves a lot of credit for making his own morph sequences instead of using Japan's. (The closest sentai-to-power ranger morph sequence under Saban is Wild Force's which are nearly identical.)

@Pame
Located in Los Angeles, CA, Power Morphicon will be held in Summer 2010 with Morphenomenal guest list! T-T
Since I live in Pennsylvania, it would be tough to get there and even tougher to convince my parents to let me go... Waah!

Thank you.

PS: Back at the last Morphicon, Tony Oliver (NOT Tommy Oliver. Don't get 'em mixed up) had a really cool documentary panel that someone posted on youtube (albeit in six parts).
WARNING: Some parts might be hard to hear, so bear with the video.

Note: Tony Oliver did a lot of writing for Power Rangers back in the beginning. I've heard that he is doing a PR documentary called Mighty Morphin Miracle, but the rumor is that the documentary is on hiatus. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

@Kiba: I did some digging up and apparently its going to be a s*****i(no spoiling for Draiken lol) style sentai =D. I think its the last season O.O

@Draiken: I didnt realize what you said about some of the themes used from super sentai in the PR series till an hour ago. I seen Ohranger (Zeo) and i reconized a scene from the american zeo ep. Love how Saban made a complete diferent ep outta it xD

@Pame: Id marry Kathrine...i had a crush on her when i was a kid lol!

@DIE, yea im watching Shinkenger (not saying what the theme is) subbed. Do you really think this will be the last season, even in Japan? I can understand them not doing another American one, but even in Japan?! No waaaaay. I hope they keep doing Sentai, and Kamen Rider too.

Re: Power Rangers Fan Club!! REVIVED COME JOIN!!
Link | by on 2009-07-18 12:59:56
@Kiba: In japan i know its not but for the american one its highly likely. And i also did some research and found out that the reason us guys in the US dont have any more PR airings is because the Jetix block on Toon Disney got removed when Toon Disney switched to Disney XD. From then because of the "lack of educational matter" and whatnot a good portion of stations refused to air the remaining seasons. THAT BLOWS.

Off topic to PR

"lack of educational matter" so how come Hannah Montana and Thats So Raven is still on what do you learn from those DX, disney would have so many fans if Power Rangers Still Aired at least they had a meaning at the end of each episode!

so i got bored, and i was feeling creative i remember a site that had templates for making morphers (the site itself is filled with arses but there stuff they make is aweosme)

so i my very first attempt at a Dyno Buckler (Morpher)

@Ballz: Its a bunch of BS if you ask me...they couldve at least let us have some of the old seasons! And its crap because half them Disney Stars be doing some behind the scenes activities xD Thats the ultimate leverage if we wanted to have an argument haha!

And that thing looks sooo real 0_o

Nice job man!

Id have to say MMPR through to In Space because they kept it going and it explained how they lost there powers and got new ones, then of course giving up their Turbo powers and giving em Tj, Carlos, Ashley and Cassie who in turn went to outta space to escape divatox to get new Space powers but lost Galaxy didn't make sense :U 2nd best story line was well for me there is non :U i suppose i liked Light Speed Rescue

here's a nice vid i saw in youtube...revamped morphing sequence (similar to adam's new morphing scene in "once a ranger"

anyway for the pr vs sentai thing..here's a copypasta from wiki

* Mighty Morphin Power Rangers aired from 1993 to 1995: the longest running series (As of 2009[update]), spanning three seasons. In those three seasons, MMPR used footage, costumes, and props from three of the Super Sentai Series: Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger for season 1, Gosei Sentai Dairanger for season 2, and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger for season 3.

*Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers aired in early 1996 as a miniseries that served as a link between MMPR and Zeo. It also utilized footage and props from Kakuranger, but featured the costumes used by the Kakurangers as the footage for the Alien Rangers.

* Power Rangers: Zeo aired in 1996 and featured the first change in costume for the American Power Rangers, using footage from Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.

* Power Rangers: Turbo aired in 1997 and also had a movie with the series, titled Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie which acted as the bridge between Zeo and Turbo, and introduced Justin Stewart, the youngest Power Ranger. Turbo used footage from Gekisou Sentai Carranger.

* Power Rangers in Space aired in 1998. It ended a story-arc concerning the character Zordon and introduced the Battlizer armor, unique to the American productions. The in Space series took footage from Denji Sentai Megaranger.

* Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy aired in 1999 and was the first series to have an entirely new cast of characters play the Power Rangers, whereas all of the previous series were connected in their casts and characters. Lost Galaxy also began the trend of the "team up" crossover episode where the current team meets with the previous team to fight a common enemy. Lost Galaxy used props and footage from Seijuu Sentai Gingaman.

* Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue aired in 2000 and featured the first entirely American-produced Power Ranger, the Titanium Ranger. Lightspeed Rescue used footage, costumes, and props from Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive.

* Power Rangers: Time Force aired in 2001 as the last series fully produced by Saban Entertainment. Time Force used footage and props from Mirai Sentai Timeranger.

* Power Rangers: Wild Force aired in 2002 and was the first series to be produced partly by BVS Entertainment. As the 10th anniversary series, it also featured an anniversary crossover episode titled Forever Red where every Red Ranger up until that point (except Steve Cardenas' character Rocky DeSantos) returned to fight a common enemy. Wild Force used footage and props from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger.

* Power Rangers: Ninja Storm aired in 2003. The first series produced entirely by BVS Entertainment and filmed in New Zealand, it did not feature a crossover episode and had a completely separate storyline from the previous ten seasons. Ninja Storm used footage and costumes from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger.

* Power Rangers: Dino Thunder aired in 2004 and reintroduced Jason David Frank's character Tommy Oliver, who had previously appeared in Mighty Morphin, Zeo, and Turbo. Dino Thunder used footage from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.

* Power Rangers: S.P.D. aired in 2005 — the first series to take place in a future timeline. Like its Japanese counterpart Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, it featured more than six Rangers, two of which only appeared once.

* Power Rangers: Mystic Force aired in 2006 and is the first series to have a cast of entirely Australians and New Zealanders, as well as the first BVS-produced series to use only the antagonists of its Super Sentai counterpart, Mahou Sentai Magiranger.

* Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive aired in 2007 and was the 15th anniversary season for the franchise, featuring the crossover episode Once a Ranger that featured the return of Johnny Yong Bosch's character Adam Park. Operation Overdrive used footage and costumes from GoGo Sentai Boukenger.

* Power Rangers: Jungle Fury aired in 2008 and is the first BVS-produced series to introduce original Power Rangers, the Spirit Rangers. Like its Super Sentai counterpart Juken Sentai Gekiranger, Jungle Fury also featured the first Zords used by the villains that could combine with the Power Rangers' Megazord in cooperation.

* Power Rangers: RPM, as the current series, premiered in March 2009. It is the second series to take place in a futuristic setting and the first to take place in a post-apocalyptic setting. This series uses costumes and footage from Engine Sentai Go-onger.

as for the fave storyline topic... i guess the original MMPR since my nostalgia googles is glued tight

btw nice morpher ballz |,,|

So who is your favorite Red Ranger everyone? Personally, mine is Andros, from Lost In Space, i guess because of the mystery surrounding him at first, and his past played a big part in Lost in Space. Battlizer ftw ppl
