I guess they were "forced" to enter this small filler-arc since they were close to the Manga. It might've been a wise move in the end, since the Manga has gotten further a bit from the current episodes, which don't exist in the manga, but, yeah... XD

They basically are fillers since they're not really that important. I can't really skip an episode though. It's just me... :3
